I've been looking at mitten trees for a while and am so glad I simply just bought this one. It was easy to put together. It is well made, lightweight, but sturdy and doesn't tip easily. It is a great value compared to other sites. Because of the many 'arms' the entire family plus visitors can store their mittens and hats! It doesn't take up much space and I love that hats and mittens are no longer laying all over our mudroom.

Why did I wait so long to get a mitten tree?!! This one is very attractive and has LOTS of room, both BIG advantages. It is packaged well and very easy to assemble. The only drawback is the spokes the mittens hang on could fit a bit tighter on the main base but not a big issue.

It didn't come with any instructions, but it was pretty obvious how it comes together. I LOVE it! I have 5 kids and you can imagine the winter scene in our house! Mittens, hats, scarves, etc. EVERYWHERE! This greatly organized all of the little accessories. My kids also love it! I wish it had a more modern look, though, but that's just my style.

This idea is stellar. We have three children with multiple pairs of mittens, gloves and socks that come in from an afternoon of outdoor snowy fun. The mitten tree is a great way to dry and keep track of the little outdoor winter gear. Also, the kids are not searching for lost mittens or hats before school--they are right there on the tree!! In the summer months I think we will try it out as a baseball cap hanger.

We are keeping the mitten tree by the back door about 10 feet from the wood burning stove. A very handy spot for wet mittens, hats, gloves. The mitten tree has been in constant use since it arrived at our house. The curved arm ends do not poke holes or mis-shape the mittens and hats. Very well thought out.

The mitten tree is not well put together. The top won't fully tighten becuase the threads are too loose so the rest of the arms on the tree move.

Assembly was easy and quick. Although this mitten tree is an excellent design, the construction needs to be improved. After one day, an arm broke off. Upon closer inspection, the arms are spot welded which make for a weak joint and I expect more to fall off when visitors arrive with children as they my be more rough with it.

I have been wanting a mitten tree for my three children's mittens for about a year and jumped at the chance to buy this one because of its great price. It was fairly easy to put together. I had some minor trouble with a slightly bent piece but solved that by using that piece at the top of the tree. My biggest diappointment with this product is that it is flimsy. To put the tree together you alternately slide hollow tubes and the arms of the tree over the "trunk" of the tree. Then you add the filial at the top, but there is just enough space between the filial and the top hollow tube to allow a little wiggle in the arms. It wasn't too bad until the tree was accidentally knocked over. Now there is too much wiggle. If I had to do this again, I would probably spend more money and get something that is sturdier. However, this one is good enough and the price was right. I am still using it and it works just fine.

I love the mitten tree. The kids enjoy keeping their mittens and hats organized on it and we know instantly if anything is missing. Assembly is easy. There was only one minor annoyance with assembly. The large rod that screws into the base first needs to go in a specific way for the top finial to screw in and secure the "branches" properly. Not a big deal, but it wasn't mentioned in the instructions and it took several assembly attempts to figure it out. Otherwise, I love this product!

Someday my daughter may actually use the mitten tree to dry mittens and hats. But for the present, I actually bought it as a "puppet holder" for my grandson's Christmas gifts - puppets to go with his puppet theater. I would hate to see these puppets crushed in a toy chest. Between 3 grandchildren and a husband, there are lots of wet/icy mittens, sox, scarves etc. to dry. This rack is a compact way to dry them all. Sometimes it's necessary to wrap scarves around the arm, but most things slide on easily.

After putting together, the stand was a little wobbly. The top rod just didn't seem to go down all the way. We put two washers (screws) in the top to fill in the gap and that fixed the problem. Now it is sturdy and we love it!

This mitten tree works perfectly! When the kids come in from playing in the snow I just put all their mittens and hats on it and place it in front of a heat vent and they are dry by the time they are ready to go outside again... and I can actually find them because I can keep them all in one spot instead of hanging them over all the vents throughout the house. GREAT: Keeps mittens and hats attractively and compactly organized and ready to quickly grab when heading outdoors. Can be put near stove/fireplace or over/in front of furnace register for quicker drying. NOT SO GREAT: Arms bend too easily at joint near center pole and break off when too much weight (like my teenager's boots) is applied.

Overall, I like the Mitten Tree. My children are getting very good at putting their wet things away. Their gloves, hats, scarves, gators, etc. were always thrown on the floor, but now they're all nicely put away on the Mitten Tree. However, they do get carried away and try to hang their wet snow pants and jackets, and unfortunately, it's not designed for these heavy items. The tree flops and falls with a thud as soon as snow pants (which are usually quite wet) get hung. It would have been nice for this item to have a bigger base so it wouldn't flop around when bigger items are hung on it. For the price, I think it could have been more sturdy.

We bought this as a gift for someone in early December. Upon receipt we opened the box to check it out and immediately fell in love with it and kept it. It sits atop our antique stereo cabinet and held our gloves and mittens through the winter. When the seasons changed out came the summer straw hats! We get constant compliments on it and are always asked who we had make it for us... I love being able to say it isn't a custom job and we got it from Gardener's Supply Co.

This product is well-thought out and well built. It is sturdy, does not rock, and was easy to put together. I actually store it assembled in the summer, but it could be disassembled for storage. It's much nicer than other mitten racks in that it has enough space to keep us all in dry mittens (we also tend to drape our scarfs and hats on it as well). Also the pegs are bent up rather than protuding straight out which means it takes up less space in the entry way!

Very good item. Gave to son and wife to use for the children. All are outdoor people and it was put to good use. One arm fell off, however, when 1 was putting glove on it. Needs to be rewelded. The idea and the product are very useful and for the most part we are happy with it.

We purchased this as a gift for my in-laws. Living out in the country, there is always outside work to do, and seldom dry winter days to do it in. This tree can hold several pairs of WET work gloves and hats with no problem. We had a tree from someplace else for our home and it is a definite balancing act. Not so with this sturdy tree. We will be upgrading for next season at our home.
