    This is a fantastic toy. It keeps our active boxer's attention for long periods of time. Our dog usually shreds his toys the same day searching for the squeaker, but Fritzi the Fish is very durable. He LOVES digging out the eggs from the fish. He's always loved ripping the squeakers out of his other toys now he has one the squeaker eggs are designed for him to dig out. I can't say enough about what a creative and perfect dog toy this is for our boxer. Just what Buddy, the boxer, (could have ) ordered. THANKS!!!

    Dog enjoys this item, but as a 70 lb dog, the opening to remove the balls are a little tight. He does enjoy it and loves the squeaking sounds. Of course, he has to be supervised when playing with it or he will eat it. It is great that a couple of replacement balls came with it as eventually that will be needed.

    Admittedly, our golden retriever is a chewer, and he chewed the tail off within a couple days, but the rest of the fish is still intact weeks later. He loves hunting for the eggs, especially because they squeak - it's great that there are extra eggs, but so far, he's still working on the first two. This toy was instantly a favorite. Great idea!!

    I have ordered this several times and all my German Shepherds have loved it. Only problem I have had--1 young dog likes to carry to eggs around in the back of his mouth--am afraid 1 might get caught in his throat

    Getting the eggs out of Fritzi is a challenge. The eggs are the favorite part. They are a good size for Bindy's mouth, easy to throw and catch, and don't cause any damage to furnishings if she misses. The seams on the eggs could be reinforced. She can, and has, get them open, pulling out the stuffing and the bladder.

    My sister's Golden Retriever loved the toy! But, he still tore it to pieces to get the squeaky balls inside. I showed him the opening where I put the balls, but he still preferred to tear the fish open to get them. Then when he got the balls out, he tore them open to get to the squeakies. We've come to the conclusion that he thinks it's more fun to "kill" his toys and spread stuffing all over the floor to get to the squeaky!

    Show your dog how this one works, and it will be a continuous source of fun for the dog (and squeak squeak annoyance for you!). I had to show dog first, as she was using the violent (rip/tear) method. It held up so well I bought two more, one for a friend's dog, and one for my NEXT dog!! Better than most!

    Lucy is a yellow lab and caught on to this toy right away. She loves when we stuff the fish and she can get all of the fish babies (eggs) out of the fish. She loves to play with the fish eggs separately and hides them under chairs and her blanket. She doesn't chew her toys up and this has held up great.

    I saw this on sale and read decent reviews, so I bought it for our yellow lab. She's 6 years old and loves the soft toys. It took her about 2 seconds to figure out how to pull the eggs out and then she pulled them apart in no time flat, but Fritzi herself has turned out to be the best part. Unburdened by eggs, she flies quite nicely around the living room when the dog tosses her. She's also taken some pretty tough tugging at her fins and tail and is still in one piece. We took away the remaining eggs but sometimes put biscuits inside the fish for fun.

    Minny loved the squeaks but the eggs didn't last long. She enjoyed working to get them out, but within 10 minutes one egg was all over my living room and the squeak had gone. Wish the eggs were made of more durable material. Loved the idea.

    I have sent all of my dog owner friends the link to buy this toy. The following is a letter I sent to the toy company; Comments: We bought our puppy the fish with eggs and I just had to tell you how much he loves his toy. He has to take it with him when he goes for a walk and the other day we couldn't figure out why he kept crying to go out and wasn't satisfied with his outtings. We finally realized that he had snuck his fish out and wanted to get it.
    Then a few days latter, I gave him a bath. His fish was on my bed and I was trying to dry his hair with a hair dryer (for the first time ever) I was trying to ease him into the hair dryer, putting it on low and blowing it on my hair then trying to get close to him with they dryer. He kept putting his head around the corner of the
    door way but wouldn't come in. Finally, he ran in grabed his fish and took off for under the end table in the living room shaking! He was willing to risk his life for his well loved fish! You never see him without it. It holds up to his
    roughness and he knew right away how to pull the eggs out of it. (We do spend most of our day refilling it) I just wanted you to know we are
    thankful for a well made product and hoep to see others and perhaps soon they will be easier to find in the local stores.

    Our black lab mix has been known to rip off at least one part of a soft toy in less than 20 minutes. It was 16 days when she finally tore off one eye and 2 days later tore off the other. We throw it across the room for her to fetch and toss it up in the air for her to catch. We have stuffed it with 4 eggs and she hasn't gotten one our yet. Great long lasting toy.

    My 6 month old German Shepard/Great Dane mix loved the toy. However he managed to "unsqueak" all of the blue balls within a week. Also, Fritzi the Fish was shredded about a week later. While it lasted, it was his favorite toy and he did enjoy many hours tearing it to shreds.

    The concept of the toy was good. Our border collie pup loved removing the eggs but she destroyed their squeakers within a matter of minutes. We do have other squeaker toys that are still squeaking so these just weren't durable enough. Fritzi is still around sans her eyes.

    I bought 2 of these - one for my mini-Aussie and one for my "fur" grandchild. My Aussie loves pulling the balls out and they are also easy to throw. One of the balls did stop squeaking the second day.

    After giving my 15 month old mini poodle his gift on Christmas morning, the first fish egg was destroyed within 25 minutes.The fish is still intact after a week,but all the balls are gone.we're still looking for a toy Brian can't destroy within a week.

    I have two Jack Russell Terror littermates (the short-legged, long-bodied type, not the very small hyper type). I ordered Fritzi on a lark because one of the terrors has only his two canine teeth and can't handle the sharp or tough chews or toys any more. He promptly appropriated it. And loved it. He will play with it on and off for hours. He'll throw it, he'll paw at it, he'll talk to it, he'll bring it to a human for "squeaky play" (our term for fetch). Or he'll bring one of the balls for play. (He's already killed two of the squeaky balls by gumming and slobbering them to death.) So I ordered another for my other terror. Hah. The first dog appropriated that Fritzi too. I have never gotten so much laughter at watching my dog play. I'm going to have to order more to keep on hand for when these are destroyed. Never have my dogs taken to any toy or squeaky that I've brought in like they've taken to this one. (I even bought one for Christmas for my friend's dog.)

    My oldest Golden Retriever (age 3), loved playing with Fritzi, so I decided to order an extra, but they were no longer available last year. I called Gardener's to say how much my Golden enjoyed this toy, and they really seemed to appreciate my comments. When Fritzi became available again, I ordered three! (And I now have three Golden Retrievers!)

    I bought this toy as a christmas gift for my 3 year old 85lbs. golden lab Ben. He enjoyed pulling the balls out, but the fish itself lasted around 3 minutes before he had it torn to shreds and then started working on the eggs. Oh well the toy was very cute but I would not recommend it for just any size dog

    Our miniature dachshund loves to "gut" his toys and spread stuffing everywhere. This toy satisfies his urge to "get to the heart of the toy" and he loves to play with the "eggs" inside.     The design is darling and my golden quickly learned how to get the eggs out. However, she easily tore the toy getting the eggs out and she must be supervised when playing with it to make sure she doesn't tear it apart. Might be better for dogs who don't chew.

    Oreo (a black lab mix) quickly learned to pull the balls out of the fish and waited for you to put them in again. She would try to carry all three balls at once - which she couldn't, but it was fun to watch. She is very entertained by this toy and still plays with it six months later.

    This was a great choice as gift for my dog.

    My dog loves to locate the noise maker/squeeker on all her toys and when she finds it .... she goes crazy until she has chewed the toy open to get it! Now, she locates the bubbles that I place inside Fritz The Fish, pulls them out one by one and I can stuff them back inside for her to pull out again and again..... Plus, it launders beautifully (cold water- gentle cycle).

    My miniture dashaund loved this item. She especially loved digging for the balls that were hid inside the fish, GREAT IDEA! Since the breed loves to burrow into things this was the ideal toy for her. She got lots of play time on with the toy. The only thing after a while she found another way to enter the fish for it did rip after a while.
