    The original one is still played with and is intact but looks as loved and bedraggled as a child's favorite stuffed toy.

    What truly matters is what does the dog think about the toy. At first she spent time playing with it and seemed to enjoy the crunchy sound it makes. She hasn't played with it much lately but it is on the top of the pile of toys so she's been playing with it some of the time.

    My Newfie loves this! It's her favorite. When it gets dirty or "overused" I take out the plastic bottle, wash, insert a new, empty plastic bottle and give it back to her. It's just like new! I've washed several times and it's still like new.

    Our dog loves this toy but it comes with a smaller than usual plastic bottle and there is no replacing it. A regular size water bottle will not fit inside the toy, and the one that came with the toy is almost destroyed. For the money it should be a universal size so the bottle can be replaced when needed.

    This was suppose to be made out of a tough material. The concept was so ingenious. I couldn't wait to give it to my brothers dog. The concept of the crackly water bottle inside totally got his dogs interest. Within minutes she wrecked it and it had to be taken away. It was a waste of money.

    The advertisement stated this is a good toy for agressive chewers. We gave it to our Black Lab puppy (11 months old) on Christmas morning. Within five minutes he had one ear off, both legs off and heading for the next ear. We took it away from him and only give it back to him for a short supervised time.
    He really enjoyed the crunching of the water bottle.
    The material is just not strong enough to withstand a great amount of play.

    Within a day or so, my 11 month old cockapoo had totally ripped the velcro to get the bottle out, making it so the velcro no longer worked so I had to throw out the toy. Maybe I'll wait and try it again when she is older, may be less destructive. It was disappointing as it was not cheap!

    I took this toy to my daughter's dog at Thanksgiving. She is quite a player & eagerly takes any toy. If she likes it she plays with it over & over. This one was a hit.
