I am delighted with these classy window candles that replaced my old electric ones (with annoying wires). They must be well-made b/c my new kitties knocked a couple over and they kept shining! The glow of the bulb is not strong, but it suits my needs.

The bulbs in these lights are almost impossible to turn to get the contacts to line up. I spent over 20 minutes trying to get it to light and got one small flicker of light that went out again.

I bought these because they were on sale and I didn't need very many. The auto-on/off feature and the fact that they were cordless appealed to me most. Those aspects of the product are fine. The LED light, however, is very dim and does not give the same effect as my old plug in candles.

Nice wide base and looks good, but no timer - you have to unscrew the bulb manually to turn off each day, and screw it back in at night. Priced high even on sale.

I sent a review earlier that that candle is pretty and it is, yet after all the other people who live in my condo put electric candles in their windows, you cannot even see mine until you are very close to the building. I am very disappointed in the illumination quality of this product. So I am changing my bottom line to NO - I would not recommend this product.

We used rechargeable batteries and the lights would NOT light.By twisting, I could get a brief light but they refused to actually be on. I haven't tried with regular batteries but this is massively annoying!

I used them gifts to others in a retirement home, particularly in assisted living wing. For many they always had had 'lights in the windows' (electric) in their own homes, so this was very meaningful to them.

What was great is that it is cordless and doesn't have to be adjusted ( turned on and off ) each time its used. For many elderly, the complexity of electric cords and turning things on and off is just too much to deal with. THIS candle is perfect! Wish I had the money to buy more of them! What wasn't so great was the cost in buying alot of them.

I've used one per window. Their friendly glow is welcoming, though the bulb sometimes has to be readjusted to make contact. I am satisfied nonetheless and would buy more if needed.

I purchased 16 pewter candles for the windows in our home. I like the fact that they come on at night and go off during the day. The bulb does not get warm to touch and provides a nice glow. Purchased 15 singles & 2 three branch sconces for all the windows in an 1850's Cape @ 40% off. The glow looks wonderful, a nice warm yellow hue LED bulb. They do seem to have a sensor, but it isn't well defined. The threading on candle tube is not well cut, and bulb installation was difficult. At the reduced sale price I'm happy with the product.

Since I bought these candles during a summer sale, I haven't had a chance to evaluate them as Christmas decorations, but that said, they are good-looking, sturdy, and appear to be better made than others I have bought and had to return.

I like candles in every window during the Christmas season, but a couple of ours have no electrical outlet close by, precluding any wired candles. I'm looking forward to using these in those awkward spaces, and expect to be very pleased. The only reason I rated 4 rather than 5 stars is that I haven't yet used the candles and therefore can't speak from experience.

At first I did not think I was ever going to get the bulb to light. Eventually I found the point of contact. The bulb is twist on, twist off, and the spot of electrical contact is small and fussy to find.

I bought this primarily to test the light quality, and the longevity... it quit once.. I had to change the battery.. But I intend to see how many hours it will burn.. will it last for two months?

I don't know yet.. I leave it on day and night, as it would be in the use I have in mind for it.

I'll let you know in a couple months.This would be kept lit, as a beacon.. in a small chapel, I would like it if it were actually not a candle stick, but would still burn a long time, it could have a slightly fatter base to accomodate two batteries side by side. and be a candle self supported somhow... it actually isn't too tall, but inside a glass, so wouldn't need the metal base part.

We purchased the pewter candles and we really like them! The glow inside our home is very nice, but it's even better coming home and seeing the welcoming glow in the windows as we drive up our long country driveway.

These candles are lovely - they look great and work very well. They really add so much character to our house! The only possible drawback is that since they are battery operated - you do have to changes the batteries about once a month. Other than that, they're terrific, and I will be ordering more!

I bought half the number (13) I need to complete my house and will be purchase the rest (13)next season. These illuminated our antique 1/2 Cape with a warm and soft glow, replacing the bright, abrasive ones I found years ago in a local shop. I was so pleased with these, I bought a set of three for my parent's home. I would love to buy one for every room in their home but an additional 30 is not in my budget. We have a big old 3-story home, and it's wonderful to have a candle in each window without running around and plugging them all in each evening. The soft candle glow is blocked by our regular shades and blinds, so it doesn't disturb us when we're sleeping.

I have these candles in my front windows, the illumination is not as bright as I would like, they're overshadowed by my porch lights. The LED should last a long time, but I do wish they were a tad brighter. Very solidly built, and stable, they are a nice addition and make the house look warm and welcoming, but they do not illuminate.

Use them in windows for the winter season and on fireplace mantle, and tables. Adds light to the rooms, are inexpensive to run, have a natural candle light, and LEDs have no fire hazard so can use places that a regular bulb would be dangerous. Pewter base looks very nice.

Cons: Too wide for window sills that have shades being lifted up and down. Batteries did not last as long as advertised - maybe half the time. A flicker feature would be nice.

After three days of use my wife could no longer handle the poor illumination and put back up the ugly but bright plug in candles she has been using for the past five years. She was right. The ugly ones looked a lot better from the outside. If light that looks candle light is important, do not buy these.

BUT they hardly throw out any light, and it's a bit orangey in color.

I put one candle in each window (12). I like the fact that they are LED, battery operated, and light sensing. Unfortunately, the candles are quite dim, especially with rechargeable batteries. Duracell alkaline batteries produce more light, but I will eventually end up throwing away 24 batteries.

Very nice quaility. The only thing that I don't like that isn't a big deal it you can't tell were the sensor is to turn the lights on. Once you set them up you will need to turn them at dusk to get them to turn on or off at the right time.

Love the candles, they glow nicely and even flicker a little like a real candle, except...they go on and off at odd hour's. Sometime's they go on alone, other time's I have to turn them on. Curious.

The LED bulbs give off a natural yellow light. The candles have heavy bases and are excellent for use where cords are undesirable.

The candles are also very economical due to the LED bulbs and built-in photo cells. With new AA batteries the candles can be set in place for the whole holiday season without touching.

The candles are also great for utilizing used batteries that will no longer operate other battery driven devices. When the LED bulb will not light, the batteries will not even register on a battery tester.

We love these lights. One battery lasts from about the first week of December through Valentine's Day. They look beautiful from the street...and there's no worry about tangling cords, turning off/on. Very durable, the first lights we purchased about 6 years ago are still going strong.
