All of the products that I had purchased I thought they were SOLAR Powered- I don't realize that they were not until they had arrived, I could have gotten the light bulbs at local store for less. If you have my record you will see that in the past I have ordered only solar products. Good solar products are hard to find in my area but items to increase your utility bill easy to fined

The lights work well on our Christmas tree, although we now wish that we had purchased the C4 size rather than the C6 offered by Gardener Supply. We later found local supplies of identical lights in C4, C6, and C9 sizes for 1/4 to 1/2 Gardener's price.

I purchased these after Christmas last year so I didn't know until now how they would look. The give a nice warm look to the house. They could be a little brighter; but, I love the bulbs because they look like the lights my parents had when I was a child. I've had a lot of compliments from neighbors and people walking by the house. I indicated that it was difficult to change the bulb, but I don't think I'll need to for a long time.

I didn't have any lights this holiday 2008. I had been searching for the old-fashioned C-9 bulbs, which I didn't find until late in the season, and when I did, I didn't want to pay the asking price. I also came to realize that the filament bulbs come with an added expense each season of replacement bulbs (which, with all the switching to environmentally responsible LEDs, could become difficult to find), not to mention the risk of overheating and fire. So, I passed on the traditional lights. After the holidays, I found these warm white strands on clearance, and bought three, as that is the number the description said may be connected end to end. The lamps are similar to a C-7 size. The warm white light is, as to be expected, slightly dimmer and yellower than a cool, bright white, but warm white can be just as beautiful in its own right. The cord tag does state that this product contains lead, an element known to the state of California to cause birth defects. It recommends hand washing after handling. I might even consider wearing disposable gloves to handle, but I wouldn't let that damper my enthusiasm for these lights, a touch of nostalgia with a new faceted bulb.

I bought these to hang under the eaves on my back porch, and I am very pleased with them, especially at the sale price! The white is shockingly "warm" in color - with the long-lasting bulbs, it's the best of both worlds.

I bought 10 boxes of these lights. Each string has 70 light bulbs, comprised of 5 colors: green, blue, red, orange and yellow. One would expect 14 green, 14 blue, 14 red, etc. NO! There are 7 green, 7 blue, 20 red, and the remaining 36 are all orange and yellow!! And most of the orange and yellow are set in the middle! They're hideous and useless. A very misleading product.

I also bought 10 boxes of the large colored lights which have the same 5 colors and are comprised of 35 lights. Interestingly, the colors are equally divided and rotated with the large string; i.e., green, blue, red, orange, yellow, etc.

Despite trying to be more eco-friendly, I can't seem to get over the usual harsh white light of LEDs, especially for Christmas decorations. I saw these lights on sale after the holidays and decided to give them a try along with the colored ones. The tone on the white lights is much warmer than other LED lights I've seen. Although brighter than the standard small "twinkle" lights, these look like they'll be a nice addition to our decorations next year.

These lights are beautiful. They remind me of colorful gumdrops. I bought them for my boyfriend (after Christmas) as he wanted lights that use less power, and these were perfect. Haven't actually used them for a long period, but we did string them across the room one evening to admire them. Looking forward to using them next Christmas.

we have purchased 24 strands of these over 2 years. They hold up well and the blue lights are so pretty. The light they give off is different and does not show up in the daytime, but they can be seen a long way off at night. They use very little electricity and are cool to the touch. In the many strands we purchased, one bulb was broken... popped off its base. It was easily fixed with a dot of crazy glue. You can join more strands together than the old style and not buying a zillion bulbs that shatter and burn out is a godsend. We merrily threw all the old strands away. Fa la la la la la la la la la!

You cannot handle the strands without getting lead on your hands because it is embedded in the plastic. It is advertized as a green product because it uses less electricty. What they don't tell you is that you are bringing a lead hazard into your home.

Needed new lights for the Christmas tree this year, decided to try the LED lights. First impression was the vivid bright colors. Love it!! Did not realize the "regular lights" did not shine in a true color. These do and with very soft glow. Will purchase more for next year.

These lights have revolutionized our decorating
We bought a few sets last year to see how they lasted and were so impressed that we bought 12 more sets this year. The light from these is much dimmer than the older bulbs, but cheaper to power. The blue is intense and very pretty. Out of 18 sets, there was one broken bulb easily fixed with a dot of crazy glue. This has ended the annual fight with the breaking and nonworking large outdoor bulbs. Thank you, GS.

The Forever lights are the only outdoor holiday lights I am using this year. I was quite suprised at how bright these lights are and how nice they look on the house. I feel that they are an adequate size and are nicely visible. At this point they get two thumbs up for appearance and potential for energy savings. What remains to be see is the durability aspect but I am confident that they will be easier to manage than the regular C9 bulbs I have used for the last several years.

As LED lighting evolves it'll be great when there's a true DC source to prevent flickering. The design of this string of lights is that all of the LED's are in series and directly connected to the AC source. What this means is that they're only on for half of the time pulsing one and off 60 times per second. I can detect the flicker but my wife can't. Huge plus is how cool they run and power savings.
