Set these up beginning January and they are still going strong. Dusk to Dawn - sometimes one will go out before the other - and the light is the same - so not sure what's up with that, but still very nice so far. Other ones I had were double AA and they didn't last and came on when not supposed to and etc. So far, these are still bright and still going.

For Christmas my house needed something more besides the lighted wreath. These candles, one in each of my front windows, were perfect! Since I live alone now it sure was nice to see them lit up whenever I came home after dark. Another plus: they were Christmas decorations, and I didn't have to climb a ladder to install them!

My husband has always wanted candles in every window for the holidays, and I decided to surprise him this year. While we designed and built our own post-and-beam home 7 years ago, I forgot that there were 41 windows. Needless to say, this was not a small purchase, esp. including batteries for all 41 candles. (And opening all those darn plastic bullet-proof cases was a royal pain.) BUT they are lovely, give a soft glow, and are so easy, being cordless and automatic. It's fun to watch them turn off, one by one, as the sun rises, and come back on again at night. We're keeping them up even after the holidays--a little joy for these cold, dark Vermont winters.

So glad to get rid of all the tangled electric candle cords and extension cords that were needed to put a light in each of my windows in the past. These candles give off authentic candle light. I put new batteries in on 11/25 and haven't need to replace 1 battery as of today 12/28. I live in the northeast so I have darkness from 4:30pm until about 7:15. My set are 3 years old. Remember to take the batteries out each season and they will last a long time. Great for older folks and families with little children.

These candles are well-made and will last for many years. It's great not to have to turn them on and off. The only drawback that needs to be mentioned is the candle flame is a muted yellow, not a brighter white like other candles. I got used to it after a few days, and now like them a lot, as they look more like real candle flames.

I bought 7 of them for my windows as christmas decor. The flicker setting looks just like a candle flicker. Not as bright as I expected but is actually more realistic that way. The light sensor is awesome! You only have to turn them on once, after that they turn on and off on their own. One of seven that I got won't turn on by itself but does turn off. Not worth sending back.

Thought this was a GREAT idea for my elderly parents who love the lights but not the hassle of wires, tape, etc. These easy, lovely window lights are a perfect solution. I will be interested to see if the batteries last a whole season as the package stated. The light is a little dimmer than traditional window lights but OK. I ordered 3 candles for my dining room windows just to see if I would like them. I LOVE them. The base is narrow enough to fit perfectly on the windowsill and If I chose to close my blinds completely to the sill there is no interference from the candles. Use them in windows for the winter season and on fireplace mantle. Adds light to the rooms, are inexpensive to run, fit nicely on the window sill and don't fall off even with shades being lifted up and down every day, can use the flicker feature or not, have a natural candle light, and LEDs have no fire hazard so can use places that a regular bulb would be dangerous.

Our house looked beautiful this holiday season. Since it is a traditional 2 story we find it difficult to get up to the roofline and light up the second floor, these candles were the perfect fit and did not need our daily attention for turning on/off. These lites are a great holiday decoration but can be used all the time. I am leaving them in the rooms for a nite lite. I don't have to worry about little ones or pets with wires. I have used them for a decoration on the table with flowers for a dinner.

We ordered 4 of these to replace some corded ones we'd purchased elsewhere that didn't fit the windows in our new home. The wide base with C-cell batteries makes for a stable setup, handy with a toddler in the house. Plus, since they're LED-lit, the batteries are still going strong even after 2 weeks of being on from dusk to dawn.

The only downside is that the photoresistor can be a little spotty - sometimes the candles don't turn on automatically once it's dark enough. When that happens, it's easy enough to switch the candle to the off position and then back to the "auto-on" mode, which gets it working properly. So, not 100% self-sufficient, but still the best we've tried overall.

It is a window candle, not a source of illumination, so don't expect to be able to read by it. I used to live in Virginia in a colonial house and the only Christmas lights allowed were window "candles". Most were electric and the cords were always a hassle, but I loved the subtleness and warmth of the single candle in each window. These are perfect. Not only are they battery-operated so you don't have to find outlets by every window, but they have a "flicker" setting that makes them really look like candles, AND the photo-sensor means you don't have to turn them off and on! The only downside is they're very light weight, so your cat can knock them off the sill - unless your cat is more well-trained than mine!

We needed an LED Battery Nite Lite. This Candle fill the need Ideally. We had hoped that the photo cell would operate away from the window but, it will not. So we just turn it off and on via the switch which works just fine. The LED provide just enough lite yet is not to bright as to be annoying.

I bought one of these for each of my windows. In Anchorage AK we have dark long winters and the flickering light in our windows is a welcome for both us and our visitors to come home to. I used re-chargeable batteries and these lasted all winter long on one charge from October to April. (yes our winters and darkness last that long!)
