Had they not been on sale, I couldn't have bought these, but so far I've bought 3 for xmas gifts: one for my 7 year old granddaughter, who will find all sorts of things to do with these, and two for older friends who, like me, no longer bother with a xmas tree. Nice folk-lore style flair - this will be a great memory-maker for holiday traditions, setting it up with our children. I look forward to having a decoration that we can leave up after the holidays, probably through Valentines. Wouldn't have paid the full price, but on clearance this is worth it! Too soon to tell if it will chip easily, but it has a nicer (not cheesy) look to it and v convenient how it nests for storage. May have to get another for my Ball State grad sister for a gift!

The finish is amazing . . . very smooth and professional. Am using this as an outdoor hanging delight . . . will use either a rod through all pieces or very strong thin wire, 2/side up through all the houses. Beautifully packable for storage! The 2nd set is for holiday use only.

I purchased these for a very dear friend who teaches at Ball State University in IN, their mascot is the Cardinal, so I thought she would get a kick out of it. Besides, the design is so very charming and she loves birdhouses. It was PERFECT!!! She recieved it YESTERDAY on her birthday and LOVED it! By the time she called my early in the morning to thank me she already had a spot chosen to show it off! SOOOOO awesome!!

These nesting bird houses were an excellent value on sale. Purchased one for myself and two for gifts. Will use the stand alone base year round as part of my birdhouse collection; at Christmas, the whole stackable set will serve as a holiday decoration. There's a small amount of glitter on a couple of the nesting pieces that I could have done without; otherwise, the painted design of cardinals, branches, and berries is quite well done.

I use this as an addition to my collection of birdhouses which are displayed on a shelf that runs completely around the inside of our screened in porch. I like the fact that the birdhouses are stacking. I find it unique. I wish the painted vines and leaves were green instead of blue. I intend paint them over green. Other than that, the nested stacking birdhouses are wonderful.
