Required some assembly which was not difficult. A lot of packaging to cut through and dispose of. My main complaint is that the chair has only one position, which is a fairly deep recline.

I love these chairs! I bought two to replace those icky plastic lawn chairs that seem okay at first, but blow around in heavy wind and finally get grubby. I saw these on sale and the size was perfect and the style is very nice. I'm not real handy, but I thought they went together pretty easily. As soon as I sat in one, I nearly fell asleep--it was sooo comfortable. It could use a foot rest, but anything will do if you want to put your feet up. Because mine are outdoors, I did apply a coat of clear polyurethane to protect the wood, which made these chairs look absolutely stunning. I am impressed--I hope I can say this years from now...
