I bought a ton of carbon offsets from Gardener's Supply. I fly a lot, so I try to reduce my carbon footprint. Now, there are lot of different vendors of carbon offsets and I'm not going into all the pros and cons of each. The distinct advantage of buying from Gardener's Supply (versus other legit carbon offset suppliers) is that it's available on the Northwest WorldPerks mall, so I can actually earn miles with my purchase. That's the bottom line for me. The drawback? Gardener's Supply sends a paper certificate in the mail. Hello? More paper, more waste, more transportation costs and C02 emissions for the delivery! For my next flight, I might give up the miles and go back to another vendor of carbon offsets that gives me the option of just getting an email confirmation of my purchase. I don't want to cause more pollution when I'm buying a product to reduce pollution!

My children are all in their 30's and are very dedicated to saving the ecology for their children. The Carbon offsets that I purchased were the ideal gift to give my children who asked to received nothing but were so surprised and grateful that I would choose this gift for them. We cannot do enough to reverse what the generations before us started and we have nearly completed in the ruination of this world. Thank you for offering such a wonderful gift.

Carbon footprints are all over the media. This certificate allows you to be the first in your neighborhood or office to personally offset 1 ton of carbon by restoring a rain forest area. Great for environmentally-minded folks as well as kids (or adults) that need to learn more. I framed mine as a gift - it was a big hit on Christmas morning !
