Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I was about to give up on my strawberries. The birds always get them first, and I hate bird netting. This pop up protector is a lifesaver. Just pop it up (stand back!) and throw it over the berries holding it down with the metal stakes provided. To harvest just lift and replace.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
My first garden. I used this until the tomatoes grew taller, then got the taller version. It's well made, easy to pull on and off for one person and really does protect the plantings.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
A very good product for the beginner garderner.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I liked the idea of the net and how easy it was to put up. I however dislike that the material is not durable and some of the structure poked out.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The squirrels like to dig in the planting beds and pots. This keeps them out. Love it!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Just attach to your raised bed and you are done!!
You can water right through it and it keeps the rabbits and deer
away from your investment.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
sets up and stores well.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This net is one that "springs" into shape when opened up. The problem is not all of it has sprung and thus the top part is sagging. I can't seem to straighten it up so will return it. I had it over my blueberry bush but replaced it with pvc "hoops" and a net over them.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
We have used other nets in the past, but since we bought the grow beds, decided to try these out! So much simpler to use and knowing that it will be easier to remove to pick berries this year makes it terrific!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
From the pix and description I thought it would be 6 ft tall not 6 wide.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Looking forward to extra berries this year for my pies!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I had the low version of this and was thrilled. Realized I needed the taller version, and was sent one that seems to have twisted inner support on one side so it constantly collapses. Have tried to straighten the defective side, but no luck.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Protects my garden from unwanted visitors
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Liked this so much I ordered a second after receiving and using the first. It used to be a drag to encircle greens, etc. with chicken wire and then bird netting over that and then to have to take it all apart to cultivate or pick the plants. This has made my life a bit easier.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
We constantly have trouble with birds eating our lettuce seedlings as soon as they come up. The bird control pop-up net protects them completely. Also, the deer won't be able to eat the larger plants later. Good product!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Have grown blueberries, raspberries, etc. for some time. Two years ago a large group of black crows decided to inhabit our neighborhood. And of course they love the berries---not the wild ones in our
fields, but our personal berry plants by our house. These pop-up nets are wonderful--and I highly reccomend them.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
On my blue berries, hopefully to keep out the the animals, as I don't want to share. Have coons and possoms thru yard at night. First use.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Use the net enclosure to protect my above ground grow beds herb and vegetable garden.
Pro-Does great job of protection.
Con-Access to crops. You have to remove netting from bed everytime you need to work in garden. Would have been nice to have zippered access doorway on one side.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
sturdy and has kept squirrels and birds from the plants that are covered.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Great for keeping birds off and sitll let in sunshine. Sort or a hassel having to restake each time you remove it, but the stakes are needed to keep the wind from blowing it off.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
this was so easy to use! it fit right on top of the garden box and has stayed on through high winds and storms. The bunnies are blocked!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Great product just shorter than I envisioned
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
THIS PRODUCT IS AWESOME AS I WILL FINALLY HAVE BLUEBERRIES. IN YEARS PAST THE BIRDS AND RODENTS WOULD EAT MY BLUEBERRIES BEFORE THEY RIPEN - I ALREADY HAVE MORE BLUEBERRIES THEN EVER - AND MY STRAWBERRIES
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I have only had this for a few weeks, but it appears to be effective against the birds eating all of the blossoms.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The tall bird net pop-up is working beautifully so far. It has kept the birds and rabbits at bay. It is light yet sturdy. It did take 2 people to put it in place but it was VERY easily done with the 2 people. I have yet to take it off to pick the ripe vegetables. If I have to another person to help me hold it up while I pick the vegetables, it would be a hinderance. Maybe you could suggest that they put a couple of flaps to open so that the whole net does not have to be picked up.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Easy to fit and attractive for use
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Completely stopped uprooting of seedlings by squirrels burying acorns.
Refolding requires wrestling.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
they keep all the animals away. easy to use
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This product kept all the deer, voles, squirrels, chipmunks, birds and raccoons OUT! It works very well. My husband built the raised bed box with two upright poles (at opposite corners)with a cross-beam, so I could hang a tupsy-turvy inside!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I bought the 3x3 grow bed, grow bed liner, and low pop-up net so that my lettuce could grow unmolested by rabbits. I assembled it and planted the lettuce about 3 weeks ago. The lettuce is healthy and nothing has bothered it. I was a little worried that the rabbits would chew through the netting, but that hasn't happened. The net fits very snuggly around the grow bed without using the anchors that came with it. It hasn't moved through several storms. It is fairly easy to remove the net in order to pick the lettuce. I looked for something like this for a long time, and I'm very happy with it so far.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
it needs zippers on both ends to get to the berries and it needs to have a frame as it caves in on itself when the wind blows
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Stayed up even in strong winds. Easy to work with.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Much better than feeding all my baby veggies to the little varmits!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Keeps the birds from picking at the tomatoes. Love it. I have the 3x6 so you need 2 people to put it on. I put a bright colored tag on one end so that saves time when you put it on again.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Product can be used successfully to keep birds from feasting on veggies and fruits. Also protects orchids from birds.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I bought my first one last year. It worked so well at keeping the birds from eating my seedlings and young lettus that I bought a second one this year. Later in the summer when I don't have young tender vegetables I take it off the beds. Last years net looks like new this spring.
It easily folds flat for storage.
I highly recommend it.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The tall pop up net is great. I bought one of the short and one of the long. It looks like there will be plenty of room for bush beans and peas.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
These nets work very well. They are flexible but seem to be well built. They are lightweight and easy to lift off. They come with extra pins. I've only had them up for a couple of weeks, but so far everything has been safe from rabbits and deer.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
We had downsized our garden to raised beds and were looking for a way to keep the rabbits out. These did indeed keep the rabbits out, and were very easy to put up, but awkward to use over time. The shorter one was not even tall enough for an herb garden; the herbs very quickly hit the top of it and grew through. It's really only practical for very low-growing plants, like lettuce. The taller one was also too short for tomatoes and peppers, and the lack of a zipper or 'door' make harvesting near impossible. All of these should have a zipper or some way to get in without taking the entire cover off. I can say that they are sturdy; they stayed up during storms, even when branches fell on them, and protected the plants. But because they are just too short and too difficult to use, we won't be using them again this year and cannot recommend them, except maybe for starting seeds.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Keeps birds out of square foot gardens.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This has got to be the best gardening product ever, and I tried them all! I used these for 2 years now, and I will be getting more, so that I can eventually cover every bed in my veg garden, save the corn and the tomato (only because they don't come that tall).
These are super effective at keeping all sorts of animals at bay, INCLUDING INSECTS!!! And these weren't even the "insect barrier" ones (the white ones). They were just the green netting "bird" ones. Yup. I couldn't believe it, but the last 2 years were the only time I was able to grow cabbages with absolutely no cabbage moth or root maggot damage! My beans did not get sheared off by deer this year. The radishes, carrots and lettuces were completely safe from the rabbits. All I can say is wow!
They are pricey, so I can only get a couple every year, but they are absolutely worth it.

This screen is very handy in keeping birds, deer and holding frost blankets up at night.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
For small blue berry bush installed easily. Haven't figured how to fold it back up for storage. A simple page with instructions would have been nice.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Just started using it. Want to keep cats from using veg. box as a litter box.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This product looked perfect in the catalog with the bed I ordered at the same time. But, as usual I got the bed and the netting is on backorder. It was on backorder till late July (half the season is over). My husband made a netting substitute of his own that works well but will not store like the product from Gardeners. This backorder issue is not my first with this company.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I ordered this product to stop the stealing of my fruits and vegetables by animal invaders. It has been very effective in doing so! I watched the frustrated birds trying to get at my strawberries, and laughed. It takes a lot to stop mocking birds and chipmunks, but they met their match with this bird control product! I plan to order more of them :-))

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
We cover our blueberry bushes with the pop-up nets
to protect the fruit from the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks. They are easy to remove for harvesting the fruit. And a twist of the wrists and it flattens for storage.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
My first net purchased a couple of years ago has been excellent. I was very disappointed this year that first, you did not have stock for several months, second, this net when it finally arrived is looser and more floppy around the grow bed. The delay put a dent in my gardening as my plants were more restricted in height due to having to get first a low net. I think this may have restricted the amount of produce I could get.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Such a simple way to protect plants from the local wildlife!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Big enough to enclose large plants such as brussel sproutd. Tends to collapse on itself, requiring stakes at diagonal corner to keep it upright. Recommendable with that proviso.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This single product has finally made gardening in my area possible! My past efforts were constantly stymied by a host of birds, bunnies, rodents of all types, and who-knows-what-else that crept into my garden at night. Now I watch strawberries ripen while warblers and cactus wrens perch, defeated, on top of the cover. They are a perfect fit when combined with the raised beds, and are flexible enough you can bend up an edge to harvest most fruit. Water right through them. They're ideal for potted plants on your patio, as well. Easy, tidy looking, and effective.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I love that it took only 10 minutes from delivery to garden to get these in place. They worked like magic to protect low and medium-growing crops from marauding birds and deer . A taller version would be better for tomatoes. As the vines grow they are bent over and can't produce as well.
It's a bit tricky to harvest (I must unfasten one side and climb inside) but well worth the effort to enjoy the fruits -- and veggies-- of my labors.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Unfortunately, chipmunks, ground squirrels and other rodents easily eat through the mesh, then dine on the plants.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
it protects my vegetables from insects and the wind.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I have voracious rabbits in my neighborhood. They will eat nearly any new seedling, if you give them a chance! Before I purchased my pop-up net, I had a short fence around my lettuce, radish, and onion patch. I have arthritis and climbing over the fence to work was sometimes difficult. Now I just lift up the net and do what needs to be done. Terrific!! Thanks a bunch!!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
For the first time, the pests in my yard did not eat my green beans when they were tender little plants, so I now have actual plants that are starting to grow beans! I planted the seed in my 3x3 grow bed (LOVE) and put this cover over it and didn't take it off until the plants were getting too tall for it. I would like to see a size in between, though. I would have liked to have left it on longer, but the plants were too tall. I would have given 5 stars if the price were cheaper.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I started my plants one month ago and decided it was time to install my little cover for it as I could see some bites had been taken out of a few leaves.
I was expecting to have an ordeal to deal with..
but instead, in two seconds, I had this delightful cover that slid perfectly over my Grow Bed! I even used the stakes though I probably didn't need to. I'm thrilled that it was just that easy!
I only wish that it had some sort of velcro or zippered opening in the top so I could reach in and tend to the plants in my 3x3 bed.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This netting was the best purchase. Last year the squirrels ate all our strawberries. This year WE get to enjoy them, thanks to this netting. It's useful, easy and great quality.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The pop-up I have isn't large enough to cover all the beans in my garden. The ones not covered were either pulled up by the local wildlife or eaten to sticks by the deer, but the ones in the pop-up were untouched. If you are in a windy area, be sure to secure the unit well (I attached it to nearby veg supports and used lots of long earth staples) otherwise it has a tendency to blow away. This is its second season and it looks like new.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
used with strawberry plants in flat containers
on a table..the lower size option is just right,
lets in light and rain, keeps out birds.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This item seems way overpriced. It seems sturdy, though I wonder how many times I can take it off and put it back on until the lower section's mesh, etc. tears. It's a very tight fit onto the raised bed, which is good, but I have to stretch each corner, like pulling a fitted bed sheet onto a thick mattress. In the "Cons" section I wrote "Will it Last?", but the site doesn't allow for punctuation....
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
It is easy to put up you need fishing weights to hold it down.

I purchased this along with the raised bed. It fits perfectly. Easy to put on and take off. So far it is keeping all interested animals from my peppers. I'm looking forward to a big harvest.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
We live in the country where deer, coyotes, raccoons & squirrels can be problematic, but the addition of the tall bird cage to our copper cap raised bed has left us with undisturbed produce - much to our delight. (Looks like this year WE'LL get the enjoy the harvest instead of the wildlife!) The only problem we've had with the pop-up net is that it is awkward for 1 person to handle, especially when 1 of the corners folds back on itself. While it would be nice if there were access panels, I've found that if I pick up one end of the net at a time & hold it while watering, it makes it much easier (& doesn't damage the plants) to put the net back in place.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I could never live without these pop-up nets. Birds and chipmunks always got my strawberries before I could. Now I just plant, put the pop up on and hold down with the u-shaped clips , and I
m done. NOTHING gets in but me. And you can take them off for winter storage and they fold right up flat for storage. My best friend would not plant strawberries until she saw that the amimals could not get them. She bought a pop-up this yeatr and planted strawberries too!!!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This is a great idea and ultimatley useful over and over again which I like, but a bit awkward to set up
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
First time I felt like I could plant lettuce and the bunnies and deer wouldn't eat the garden.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I bought the 3x6' tall net, and one of the seams was defective. I saw that the insect netting has a velcro door, and I wish this one did, too. It will be awkward getting access to the bed once installed, but it's still much better than fabric row covers.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
we have rabbits and lots of squirrels patrolling the neighborhood... but our tomato plants and baby herbs are safe under these nets.
It would be a PERFECT product if there was a zippable panel on one side for access to the plants.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Perfect fit around 3x6 raised bed. Easy to use.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
We used this to cover our berry plants.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Between the birds and the squirrels, I was never able to harvest a tomato. The minute it started to turn red, it disappeared. The net fits securely around the grow bed and protects the plants from being scavenged.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
As a beginner in the field of growing a garden in the inner city, the bird net worked well for me. My tomatoes and strawberries, okra and other veggies seem to be doing well. The birdnet really keeps the bugs, squirrels and other pests away from the garden.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Does not lend itself to accessing a garden on a regular basis. Better use would be for a plant cover where no or seldom access is required. Disappointed!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I absolutely love these. Last year was the first year that the birds didn't eat our strawberries!Unlike other comments I read, I don't mind that I have to lift the cover off to get at the bed. (Sometimes zippers are hard to close, and other closures can leave gaps.) I only wish they still carried the "greenhouse" version of the 3'x3' pop-up. We've used them for years, and they are starting to fall apart now!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
after looking for ages for the right outdoor pet container for my cat along comes your 'bird control pop-up net to solve my problem! didn't break the bank either!!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I have a lot of trees in my yard & therefore lots of birds. This really keeps them from eating my ripe strawberries.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Keeps my cat & dog from using my 3x3 growing bed as a litter box! Keeps deer out too. Shelters from frost. Great companion to 3x3 growing bed.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I'm using the pop-up net with a 3' x 3' raised bed from Gardners Supply in which I'm growing lettuces, spinach and Swiss chard. The mesh fits it perfectly. Young plants are growing well and so far the mesh has effectively kept out our neighborhood rabbits and new invaders, deer. If I were redesigning this product I think I'd create a zipper opening along one or two of the seams so as not to have to lift the entire net off the raised bed each time. Also, the 10-inch clearance above the surface of the raised bed seems too low for good intermediate-height veggies; I'd go to 15" to 18" above the surface.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Put this up to protect my garden from digging dogs. Worked like a charm.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The pop-up nets, both short and tall, are not just to keep birds out of raised beds. They also effectively keep squirrels from scattering carrot and radish seeds and groundhogs from devouring newly sprouted beans. I now have four pop-up nets. They store well and last for years.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
My son and I are starting to grow vegetables. We needed a garden space that our very clever dog could not get into. This net over the 3x3 raised bed works great! She walks all around our garden but cannot get in! I'm sure it will work just as well for the birds, rabbits and deer in the area.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I have been slow to move my garden off the porch due to the squirrels, cats and groundhogs etc. in our yard. I tried out this net first on my deck and so far it is successfully keeping the animals out of my newly potted veggies/fruits. I have high hopes to start planting the raised bed in the yard.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This pop-up net has been ideal for keeping my small grow bed free of leaves and other falling debrie. Also ideal for watering bed right through the net. Great for protecting plants from rodents and birds once plants begin to bear fruit. Easy storage for winter months.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This is effective against keeping rats from eating my lettuce, spinach an other veggies. It could stand one design improvement. It could be opened from the side without removing the entire thing. Maybe it could be re-designed using a strip of velcro on one side. Removing the entire thing each time to harvest lettuce or attend to the tomato plants risks damage to the leaves.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I have to admit I haven't used the low screen yet. I'd planned to put in some lettuce and spinach but didn't get to them before the weather turned warm so the screen is still in its box. I may purchase the tall one to protect the tomato plants I will be putting in next month and save this low screen until next season.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I use the pop-up net to keep the critters out of my small garden
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This is a very compact yet easy to assemble netting. It fits very snugly around the 3' x 3' grow bed. I haven't had a chance to test it against neighborhood animals (squirrels, deer, birds), but am hopeful it will prevent them from stealing my crops.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I bought this product to cover our last remaining rhododendron - which has not bloomed for three years due to deer eating the buds during late winter. As soon as it arrived, I ran out into the snow and set up the net. The process was very simple - and the entire bush is covered. I check on the bush every few days - the net is still in place - secured by the metal pins. Best of all - the buds on the bush are growing beautifully! Can't wait until spring!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I use these over my blueberry bushes to keep out the birds and raccoons. I added loops at the top to anchor the screen in the wind. Effective and neat!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I hope this will solve the problem of the robins munching on my ripe blueberries before I have had a chance to pick them this coming summer. I expect this will be an easier solution than using netting or a row cover.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Use this with my raised beds. I have an 8' fence to keep out elk and deer, but the rabbits and chippies were having a field day! Finally, I can keep all the produce for ourselves!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
these are great!!! have protected my lettuces ALL year. It is now DECEMBER 23rd, and I still have lettuce despite at least 4 frosts and temps down to 28F. these covers hold my row covers in place despite the high winds we have been having.
INCREDIBLE!!! we are going to have fresh lettuce from our garden on Christmas!!! use the Garden Quilt covers from this site under these covers!!

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
A little hard to slip over raised bed the first time. I'm so pleased that I don't have acorns and hickory nuts buried within my spinach and lettuce.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I liked that these nets kept the rodents and deer out of my garden, but I wish they were more accessible, either with a zipper, or velcro opening? Once the tall one is in place, it is difficult to remove for weeding or harvesting, without destroying some the "shoots" that have attached themselves to it. Effective, though, and water and pollinating bugs can still get through.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
My worst pest is the white butterfly which lays eggs that become caterpillars that eat the crop. The nets are perfect to keep them out. Larger animals find it easier to eat elsewhere. The only negative is when you use a trellis under the net. It tends to get tangled when you remove the net. This would be easier if 2 people remove and replace the net. It is real wonderful to have perfect veggies -- especially being squeemish about bugs and worms on my food.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This would be great if there were some way to open the netting to get your vegatables. Netting has ripped from being pulled on/off so much. If only there was a zipper.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This year I ate my vegetables and the squirrel did not. :)
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
You did not say it would keep out squirrels and it did not - they ate through the mesh. I will use it for other veggies; but, access is difficult.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
These tall covers are wonderful and the lizards and pollenating bugs are fine with the size of holes. I can water and fertilize through the covers just fine.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
It worked this season, but I don't know how durable it is. It will have to last several seasons to warrant the price.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I have tried all sorts of things to keep the groundhogs from eating my plants. The pop-up nets are the only things that have worked so far.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The field mice ate my cabbage plants three times - I tried everything to dissuade them, traps, hot pepper, but nothing could keep them away. Planted cabbages a fourth time and put this enclosure around them and all is good! I garden in an organic community garden and everyone is looking at my garden and saying you always have the neatest things! Thanks.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Bought product to protect strawberries from birds and other critters. Works well, Might try larger pop-up for tomatoes next year.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The first night I built my raised beds and filled them with dirt a raccoon dug them up. I purchased these enclosures in the attempt to keep the abundant population of raccoon, deer, rabbit and coyote from the surrounding state land out of my organic garden. (Coyotes love melons) I actually enjoy these creatures and do not want to harm them, but I would like to decide when and what I want to share with them. So far the enclosures seem to be doing their job.
The only down sides to this product are:
1) They only fit 3' x 3' beds. I would like to see other sizes available or perhaps panels that Velcro together to create enclosures to fit various size beds. (Sizing for tomato/bean heights as well as narrower, longer or larger beds would be great!)
2) They have no access door so you have to lift them off and put them back on creating the possibility of damaging the plants. Again, a Velcro panel for an access door would be great.
3) The four corners need wider reinforcement strips to prevent the netting from being worn by the corners of the beds as they slide over them.
4) They do not work well on elevated raised beds with legs. It would be nice if there were also Velcro straps to secure the bottom of the enclosures snuggly around the bed frame or to the legs in addition to the straps that secure them with stakes in the ground. They tend to slide down and the top gets too close to the plants.
As with any great idea, there is always room for improvement.

Living out in Colorado hail is always a concern in a garden. I've been looking for a product to protect my veggies from hail. Although it's for keeping critters out, it has done a good job during the last three hail storms as well.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I garden in the Catskill Mtns of NY and that is a real challenge; we fight lots of bugs, insects and especially deer, rabbits, etc. I've gone to growing in pots and these nets are the best thing ever. I plan to order more.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I bought these to keep rodents and deer away from soybeans and lettuce outside the deer fence. So far they are working. They are easy to use and not terribly expensive.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
We planted strawberries a few years ago, but almost never got any. This year we ate handfulls of them since the birds and rabbits couldn't get to them.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I have two small ones over my strawberies in a tub which is large. They were easy to install and it isn't all that hard to harvest the strawberries. I have yet to take the whole net off. Just pull a stake and lift an edge and reach in. My tub are chair seat high so I'm sure that makes a difference. I do wonder about folding them up come fall but am sure I can manage to get them flat enough to store but it would be nice if they came with folding directions.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I used both tall and short netting tents on raised beds. Under the short netting, my spinach grew in neat rows undisturbed by squirrels. Under the tall netting, my bush beans were well protected from ravenous groundhogs. The only problem that I encountered is that lima beans grew through the short netting, which I removed. Tall netting replaced it.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Great product for protecting blue berries from Robins and other birds...
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Placed the pop-up net over my blueberry bushes & I'm eating ripe blueberries instead of the deer. Thanks!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I am old and cannot garden as vigorously as I used to. In fact, my main garden is on my second-floor deck. Even so I had to have a small vegetable garden. I put two planters side by side, and both fit nicely under the net. I just ordered 2 more--one as a gift for a friend and another for me.
I have loved all the products I have ordered from you except the self-watering planters. I have not done well with them.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
No more snacks for animals
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Good animal deterrent. Slightly wobbly
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I have lost my green beans, lettuce, and green peppers to the deer and rabbits for the last time. For the first time, the Pop-Up nets have protected my plants and they look attractive too. Very easy to set up.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The only downside is having to remove the net to weed and pick vegetables, but I suspect that a zipper or velcro might not be tight enough. It really keeps the deer out.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Since I haven't actually used this product yet, my review is only based on taking it out of the box! I was a little dissappointed that the netting holes were so big. I also have yet to figure out how to get it to fold up into it's compact shape. While it's great to keep out animals, insects can fly right in and munch away. But, like I said, I haven't used them. I bought them "just in case" when I bought my two 3x3 beds.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I purchased the 3 X 3 raised garden kit and decided to get this with it as we have had deer, woodchucks, rabbits, chipmunks and squirrels feasting on anything we have tried to plant. Well it's been two months and nothing has been eaten, except by us!! This covers the entire bed and is easy for one person to put on and off. I highly recommend getting this as an addition to your raised bed purchase!

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I think this is a great product in that it does protect my plants from birds & squirrels, however, an easier entry needs to be devised. Pulling it off every time you want to inspect or pick fruit/vegs is a pain. Then putting it back on there is the potential of breaking limbs. I don't have an extra set of hands to help me, so it's awkward for 1 person.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
These nets are tall enough to protect beds with tomato supports. Working great!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
i purchased this to protect my self watering planters that contain tomatoes and cuc. Last yr squirrles ate ALL of my tomatoes This yr. this net is large enuf to cover both pots and keep all unwanteds away
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Here's a use they do not know about yet. I bought these for my raised beds but found they work great to cover my barrel ponds and keep the puppy out!! I wish that the net would come in multiple colors (black for the ponds, red for the tomatoes). I ended up buying 6 of these total and they are great for keeping the squirrels out of the tomatoes. We have been having a war on who gets the fruit first and it has not been me until this year!!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I have the pop up net over a grow bed of vegetable seedlings. It has been 100% effective for keeping the rabbits out of my bed (they munch the grass nearby instead). It has also kept pine needles, leaves, and small branches off of my seedlings. The net fits so tightly over the bed that I didn't even need the stakes, and it's so snug that I didn't have to pull it all the way to the ground which gives me some extra height. I wish I had bought the taller net though since I think my plants, though selected to be short, may get too tall for the net. One warning...use caution when taking the net out of the packaging. It popped up with such force that it hit me in the face (no damage, but it shocked me a bit). Additionally, this product is holding up well in 30 days of 100% humidity and rain.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I watched from the window as a bunny and her babes sniffed to their hearts content and ate nary a nibble. I keep a mini mercy plot next to the real garden
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I wanted to see how effective these nets were for deer control in lieu of a fence. They really work good and I plan to buy more of them as I transition to raised bed gardening in the future!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I planted my first vegetable garden this season and I needed protection from the little animals in our yard (squirrels, rabbits, etc.). I have had the pop-up netting secured on my raised bed for about three weeks now and have no problems with either bugs or animals!!!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I love this product. It fit perfectly over the 3x3 raised bed and it stayed put during a very severe storm. Keeps the wildlife out.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The net over the grow bed is one of the best investments I have made in my vegetable garden. Even though it seemed expensive I decided to try one and will purchase a couple more for next year. Rabbit problems have been eliminated and I have not had to use any chemicals!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This product really works. The only drawback is not having any access to plants without taking it all apart, doing whatever necessary, and putting it all back together again. Though I must say you can water your plants through the screen. I look forward to many happy seasons using my net.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
wish it had a zipper opening so i do not have to remove everytime i want to pull a weed or plant another seed. works well at keeping the animals out, but would like to see easier access to garden.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The net is eady to use, effective, flat for storage. The purfect product to protect tomatoes.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Built my own 3x3 raised bed gardens to fit this product. It has kept the quail and deer out of the garden beds. They look neat and clean too. I use the shorter variety and passed on the tall one to a friend who is growing tomatoes in moose country.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I have a 3x3 grow bed and I found several holes in the soil the day after I planted my seeds. I'm pretty sure it was a squirrel, since I've had problems with them eating bulbs before. I purchased this and haven't had any problems since! I purchased this height because I have Tomato Towers and this fits perfectly over them. The only negative is that it's pretty floppy and hard to put on/take off by myself. This isn't a big deal right now, but it could get pretty annoying when everything is ready to harvest. It also keeps out the "helicopters" from my maple trees, which is a nice bonus!

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I can't believe how effective this is against squirrels. My squirrels are really evil, and every year they've figured out how to break in to whatever I've got set up against them--until this year. Halleluja!
Bonus: we recently had a hail storm, but my tomato plants were still sitting pretty under their nets, untouched by the hail.
The only con is that the covers have to be removed for bees to get in and pollinate, but the nets are lightweight so this is easy to do when you're weeding or watering--just long enough for a little garden sex to take place.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
We are covering our blueberry bushes to keep the birds away
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I easily slipped the pop up nets over my raised beds - and haven't yet needed to peg them to the ground. If the little critters manage to find their way under the nets, then I'll try the pegs. In the past, the few times I tried to grow strawberries, it was too discouraging. I'd see a nearly ripe strawberry and go back later to pick it, only to find that some creature had taken a nice bite out of it. I tried putting netting over the plants, but the chipmunks nearly got strangled in it. I think these nets will be a great solution!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
WORKS GREAT TO CONTROL BIRDS, INSECTS. OPENINGS IN LOWER CORNERS ALLOW ACCESS TO SQUIRRELS AND OTHER RODENTS. NEEDS TO BE WEIGHTED AROUND BOTTOM SO WON'T BLOW OVER

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
My sister and I like these tents, they are so much easier than alternate fencing methods. They could be improved by the addition of a large zippered flap which would allow harvesting without taking off the tent entirely. They are rather cumbersome to put on and take off alone, particularly if you have a garden grid set up inside. Because it is a pop up tent it often folds back into into itself when I'm lifting it on or off.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Great idea
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
We have a large deer population and as a beginner gardener, I wanted to make sure I had a chance of success with my raised garden. This product is perfect! It fits right over the raised beds and is easy to get off and on.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This is a great and ingenious product, but I would suggest upgrading the design to include some kind of "access door". It is really inconvenient to un-stake and pull the whole thing off just to get at a few tomatoes or a handful of lettuce, than have to put back on again and then re-stake into the ground.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This product popped right over my raised beds and fit perfectly (what luck)! It has kept the deer, but mostly the birds, from eating my strawberries this year. I have already recommended it to a neighbor.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I live in a high wind area. The large pop up needs some type of stiffening device to stop unit from partialy collapsing. I added a wooden bar across the diameter of the pop up (external). seems to work fine.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Fits perfectly over the raised self-watering bed, but wish it had a flap of some sort so I can access the goods without having to dismantle the stakes.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I used it over my two 3 X 1.5 foot planters and it fits great. I hold the pop-up net down using the weight of the pots and small metal rods placed through the netting and pushed under the pots. This works great and it's easy to slide the rods out to remove the pop-up net. So far so good. No animals have touched my plants this year.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I used this net to protect my sunflower seedlings from rabbits. It has worked beautifully. It is tall enough to protect even large plants like sunflowers. It would be great if only it had an access panel so you don't have to remove the net to tend the plants.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I had a rabbit problem, and once these were down the problem was solved. It's so much easier than fencing in the whole area. easy to put up, and easy to move.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Very easy to use. It's effective at keeping small animals from grazing on my potted vegetables and fruits.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I do most of my vegetable gardening in large (15-26 gallon) containers. Last year one woodchuck ate everything I had planted so far in less than 2 hours. I lost: 2 plantings of peas, including one which was ready for its first picking that day, a planting of broccoli rabe and two different plantings of chinese cabbage; 5 containers in all. I recently purchased the large Pop-up Net. It is perfect for my needs. It even fits well over 4 large containers. I like it so much, I will be purchasing more. So many possible uses: protecting garden vegetables from insects, squirrels, rabbits, deer, woodchucks, birds, neighborhood pets, etc. It is extremely light and comes with stakes to help secure it if needed.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Easy storage I wish they made 4' by 4'
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Used these with the grow beds, however, the shorter ones did not come close to fitting ove the beds. I had to secure and then mulch to close the openings. One was even bent when it arrived. The taller variety fit well over the grow bed like pictured in the catalog.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
We have a rabbit problem. We now have lettuce and Broccoli that are growing instead of feeding the rabbits. Crop is growing slowly. Netting seems to block some sun
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I purchased the 3x3 Grow Bed and the Small Pop-up Net. The Catalog shows the net fitting over the grow bed, but I can not get it to fit over mine. Will it be as effective if I stake it inside the grow bed?
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I bought this to keep the squirrels and chipmunks out of my square-foot garden without having to use any dangerous or cruel chemicals. Also, to keep the neighborhood cats from using my garden for a giant litterbox! So far, so good! The fit over the 3x3 garden beds is perfect. It has even stayed put during several storms with very strong winds WITHOUT the pegs even in place! I only wish I had gotten the tall one since I will probably be putting some cucumbers in my garden pretty soon, but that is my fault for not planning ahead.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This works very well for keeping out deer, raccoons, and ferrel cats that are abundant in our woods. However, a side flap for accessing the ripe items would be extremely helpful. Having to remove and replace this cover each time is inconvenient.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I love this cover and I think I will get one tall one too.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The peacocks were eating my lettuce and other delicious plants until I got this pop-up net. I love it! Now my family gets to eat home grown lettuce and the peacocks get to nibble on other plants in my yard which I gladly share with them. Everyone is a happy camper now.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The garden net is a great way to keep out the rabbits and other animals that would eat my vegetables. I keep it on and just water through it. I'll order more next year.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Last year, the darn squirrels stole most of our tomatoes, just before they ripened, ate the seeds, and threw the rest of the tomato down. (*&!#@!!)
This year, all the tomatoes are in a grow bed covered with this pop-up net, so I'm hoping for a good harvest.
The net was very easy to put up (much easier than bird netting!) and fits snugly around the grow bed. We'll see how it works when it's time to harvest tomatoes; it might be too snug to lift easily with damaging the plants.
I have tall spiral tomato stakes, which are narrow enough to poke out the top through the mesh. Other types of tall stakes and tomato supports would probably not work well with it.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I have four pop up nets over my earthboxes. Clipped the tops together to add stability vs. staking them- it's inconvenient to stake them, would have to redo it every time I needed to tend the plants. Keeps the squirrels and chipmunks out; I'm looking forward to getting some tomatoes this year! Highly recommend a zip or velcro panel for easier access during the growing season.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I love these pop up nets. I do have a problem with deer and rabbits. These are wonderful! I can plant my potatoes in the potato bags(love them too) and have them in the garden without a fence! I got 3 more - one is the smaller one for my strawberries.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Good protection when the birds come back in early spring and are looking for a free meal.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Since my garden is large, having several of these pop-up nets works more inexpensively than installing a fence. I love the ease with which they went up and secured to the ground. Now, I will get to eat my blueberries, instead of feeding the birds.
I am using the small ones over veggies, but have to cover them with light garden fabric to keep insect pests out. The grid is not small enough for that purpose.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
We have some rabbits that live near our small vegetable garden. This is deterring them so far! In addition, our dogs like to dig in the dirt. This is helping to keep them from jumping in and digging away!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This was easy to set up right over the grow box and fits snugly. After three weeks, the deer haven't been able to eat at the salad bar, and I've been able to keep most of the stuff falling out of the maple trees out of the grow box as well. If weren't for the expense, I'd have already bought 3 more!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Protect the crops from a herd of 24 deer that eat every plant/seedling that has a price tag.
So far it is very effective in keeping the deer and birds at bay.
Only "concern" is gaining daily access to harvest radish, lettuce and beans. It would be nice if they had a zippered panel for access.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I really like the compact, sturdy look of the nets and ease of installation; however, I would like an easier way to access the plants during the growing season.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This was my third purchase of the small pop-ups. I was so impressed last year on how the pop-ups worked at keeping rabbits from chewing on my perennials that I ordered an additional one this year. Now I have no stress about the garden or worrisom chasing of rabbits!!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Planted tomatoes and peppers under the pop-up net. So far no animals have gotten to my plants. It was easy to set up and stands up to this windy area fairly well. One side caves in from wind, from time to time, but I just pop it back in shape. I would like a zippered pop-up net for easy access to plants.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
After looking at the dimensions of these I realized it was a perfect solution to protect my strawberries. I have strawberries growing in two earthboxes that were usually destroyed by birds last summer.
By positioning the two earthboxes together, this pop-up net will protect them from the birds and still allow easy access to the fruit by me.
I picked up additional pop-up nets to use in garden beds to protect other crops from damage.
Great idea!

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Thought that the ease of use was great, but can bit a little hard to put the large (tall) on the 3x3 beds alone. Thought it might help to protect against some bugs, but it looks like beatles will be able to fit through. Also would have liked it if it was a clear net or something translucent, the green stands out and isnt that attractive in the back of the yard. does a great job at keeping out random kids that wander into the yard! as well as wantering dogs, cats, etc.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Using the above ground plot for a small garden let's me get my share. The deer have eaten most every plant but this keeps them away Both the tall and short pop-up covers work extremely well and would high recommend them for two 4 X 4 plots, one tall for tomatoes and the short for lower growing plants.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I wondered how I was ever going to keep the cat next door from using my newly cutlivated vegie beds as litterboxes. The answer has arrived! I love these things!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Don't need to put up fences.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Deer were eating my garden plants like a free for all at the local salad bar. I put this net over my 3X3 grow box garden and my plants are flourishing. It definitely keeps the deer and rabits out of my garden while allowing for sun shine and easy watering.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Deer, Ground hogs , Rabbits..this product stops them all. I was tired of waiting for the lettuce, beets, and bush beans to be ready for harvest only to find the plants mowed down by the little rascals of the night. this protective netting works. simple to use and store over the winter. Long lasting and well worth the price.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I love my new pop up nets. We just planted our first veggie garden in the coordinating grow beds. The nets seem like they will hold up well, and keep out all of our friendly critters! Additionally, I am pregnant, and they will keep our kitty from using our garden as a litter box. They also keep my 2 year from thinking the garden is her new sandbox!!! I only wish they had a side zipper access. it seems like it will be annoying to undo all 8 stakes, and lift the net off each time we pick veggies. Otherwise, love them!!!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Have had problems with chipmunks and squirels eating my brocolli and lettuce. This cover ir remarkable. It popped into place. Fit perfectly over my self watering raised bed from Gardners
Supply. Love it. We had a snow about 8 inches the top of the cover collapsed, did not damage lettuce. I took 4 of the heavy duty totato supports and attached one at each corner, hasn't collapsed since.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I put one over my strawberry bed and the dog is unable to get into it now. I hope to have lots of strawberries for myself this summer.

This is perfect for my 3'x3' veggie garden. It's easy to put on and off, sun and rain get through the netting, and best of all - I've finally found a way to keep the quail from munching my plants!

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Perfect way to protect my veggies from squirrels digging in the garden bed. Birds also are safe if they land on the net because the netting is large enough to not trap them. A great product that I would never want to be without.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I am trying something new for the winter.
I am keeping my two pop up nets on my raised beds.
I made two covers for both of them. One from summer weight and the other with your garden quilt material, for different temperature conditions. The tall one has my worm compost bin and some veggies. The short net just has veggies and herbs. I'll let you know later the pros and cons.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I received this late in the season so I was not able to use it for the blueberry bush this summer, I opened it and it seems pretty easy to use and I think it will be a great keeping the birds away from my blueberries.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
On porch-put it over containers to keep squirrels from stealing fruit. Works ok, but the netting gets caught on metal growing supports. So lifting it is a bother. Would be nice if it had a size zipper or velchro so that I could reach in and get fruit. Might try velchroing it myself.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I use this product to protect tomatoes from squirrels. It works to some degree, that is,the critters are not able to get to as many tomatoes as usual. The squirrels have however eaten through the mesh in 3 areas and I would assume made off with some cherry and grape tomatoes. The holes are fairly large and I would have appreciated some type of kit or suggestion for repair.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I have tried all sorts of decoys to keep my cats from using raised beds as litter boxes. This pop-up net keeps out cats as well as rabbits, raccoons, skunks and squirrels and cabbage butterflies. It also offers some protection from heavy rains and hail.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
One out of three I have opened and put on did not fit the black garden box exactly, leaving room for an industrious bird to find a way in.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The pop-up net (large) is the world's grestest invention for keeping squirrels out of tomatoes. We have a veritable plague of squirrels. I haven't had a tomato from my backyard garden in nearly three years, but now that I have the pop-up net, I'm harvesting a couple of pounds a week!

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The Pop Up net fit easily on my deck over the ravaged strawberries and blueberries. I intend to use it in the garden next season. It opens easily, sets up quickly, and has been effective against the chipmunks & squirrel. I just wish the nets came in larger sizes to suite my tomato planters.
It folds down flat for easy storage during the winter.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I didn't receive the product until growing season was over due to back order but am anxious to use it next year. The chicken wire and other fencing ideas were too hard to handle.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This works great on beds with vegetables that do not need to be pollinated. It keeps out pests of all kinds, especially the cats in the neighborhood.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This in combination with the grow beds works
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I purchased two of these pop up nets as soon as I saw them in the catalog, and wished I had gotten more! In past years, I had to construct my own covers, using bamboo and bird netting. These opened and installed easily- the were secure even in windy storms. They are easy to remove for pruning or weeding too! They are a guilt free way to keep the baby bunnies out of my vegies too!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Attaches and fits nicely over the 3 x 3 black raised garden beds. Easily folds away for storage, too!
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
once you stake it into the ground you have to unstake it and restake it to harvest - I realized this after it was delivered and haven't use it at all.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I live at the base of the Wasatch Mt. Range in Utah and winds are very strong. The Pop-up Nets (I have both a small and large) are not bothered at all. Very easy setup and keeps bugs and flying weed seed out of my beds. I really like this product. The only pain is trying to fold back to original shape for storage.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
Both the small and tall pop-up nets protect the grow bed plants from animals and young children at play. The green color makes them blend into the landscape. They also porvide support by preventing crops from blowing over in heavy rain and wind.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
we have ground hogs and squirrels - the nets keep them at bay. First and only barrier I have found for ground hogs.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
This product idea is excellent, however the materials used in the design need to be changed. For example, the corner seams have all split. They are still usable, but they need to be reinforced to withstand more than one year of protection. Also, the netting needs to be strengthened, as I have several holes along the bottom where rabbits have chewed. Hopefully they will improve this product because it is very useful.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits thoroughly enjoyed my garden last year. The lettuce and beans were special favorites. This year I used the short pop-up net and have had no problems. It is easy to lift for harvesting and replanting and has shown no wear after 3 months of use. It is just tall enough for lettuce and broccoli rabe.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
this product is fantastic and looks good on our patio. Only problem is that I needed more of them, and you were back ordered.

Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The strength of the nylon base could be stronger--ends started to fray/separate almost immediately.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I see deer walk through my yard almost daily. So far, they've steered clear of my net-covered raised beds.I've actually had lettuce, chard, and spinach survive the deer for the first time.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I have been fighting for years to get to the strawberries before the birds do but you have to get up pretty early to beat the early bird. Last summer I moved my strawberries to a 3 x 3 raised bed from Gardeners and I love it! (I have 6 now) But still the birds were getting to the ripe berries first. When I saw the pop up cover in the catalog I knew my problems were solved. The birds sit on it and look longingly down at the berries! Now I can take my time and get berries whenever I want. I am trying to figure out how to get the bigger pop ups to cover my raspberry plants. Thanks.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
The pop up cover for our raised bed is perfect for keeping the rabbits out of our vegetables!
We got the shorter one and are using it to cover lettuce and beans. We plan on getting a tall one for the raised bed we will add next year. They couldn't be easier to use or any more effective.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I bought three of the Pop Up Nets -- two short and one tall. They have been useful in keeping rabbits out of my Grow Beds as well as my cats. They have a very snug fit. Although they came with stakes to keep the nets in place, I've not needed them. I had high hopes of avoiding weeds. But we have a number of trees that drop seeds that have gone through the netting and have germinated in my beds. So while I lined my beds with landscape cloth to prevent weeds from below, I do have to be vigilant about weeds from above. Thankfully, the leaves from the trees do not make it thorugh the netting. I love the Pop Ups and I plan on buying more of the tall Pop Ups next year. My swiss chard and lettuce are straining against the tops of the shorter Pop Ups, so I'll use them for shorter crops next season. I would love it if the manufacturer would make a tall Pop Up Net for the 3X6 Grow Bed.
Comments about Bird Control Pop-Up Nets:
I always had rabbits eat my early season peas since that was the earliest green out. I hated to use an insecticide because I garden organically. These Pop-up nets go up easy, and keep the rabbits out. We were able to enjoy snow peas this year without sharing them with rabbits!

I plan to buy the taller version and another raised bed next year to expand my garden.

I purchased this "cage" for my mom (in S.C.), who lost almost all of her tomatoes to squirrels last year. So far, it's been a success! She says it's big enough that the plants have plenty of room, and it's easy to lift the cage off when she needs to access the plants. She's been using it without the included stakes, and so far the critters haven't gotten under the cage. If you have really persistent squirrels, I'm guessing they could chew through the mesh, but so far this hasn't been an issue for her.

Netting is not small enough to keep any insects out even though it says keeps pests out.

Works great over the 3x3 raised bed. Perfect fit. Stays put even in the wind when used with the four ground stakes. Keeps large insects away from plants.
