Comments about Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait, Set of 6:
I have a lot of ants, and I don't know how the product will work in the long run. In one place, many ants came, and I now see fewer. I will be interested to see how it works in the long run.

I found this product to be fairly useful. The bait itself seems to be alluring to the ants, but I found that they wouldn't seek it out in the packaging provided. I don't know if the scent doesn't escape the trap very well or what, but I found I had to "bait" them to the bait by soaking the tips of Q-tips in the bait and leaving them around the base for the ants to find. This seemed to encourage them into the rest of the trap in 50-60% of instances, as they always swarmed the Q-tips, but didn't always continue into the trap. Once the Q-tip was dry, they sometimes still avoided the trap entirely. For those that did enter the trap, I found that many of the ants fell into the liquid, making the liquid sort of full of little ant corpses. This is fine, except that the bait is supposed to be taken back to the colony's nest and not kill them on the spot. I'm not sure if this altered the effectiveness of the trap, but I wondered if the mass ant mortality prevented other ants from continuing to feed on the bait.
All in all, I think the bait was a good product, but perhaps the packaging is flawed (?). I still have ants, although not as many. I am not sure if it did it's job inadequately, or if I just have so many ants that new colonies are replacing those that I've baited and killed!

You have to cut the top of these while being careful not to spill them. Then you have to leave them exposed, with the poison sitting right out in the open. I didn't like them. They did work.
