Comments about Soapstone Cover with 2 Pantry Pest Traps:

The insert does need to be trimmed on the sides a bit to fit into the soapstone cover, which isn't mentioned in the product literature. Once that's done, this product is fantastic! I set out two moth traps, one with the cover, one without, and both started trapping moths immediately. Each trap has captured dozens of moths. I'll be purchasing refills soon. Great product!

Comments about Soapstone Cover with 2 Pantry Pest Traps:

I have had annoying meal moths in my house for some time and I have to say that I am thrilled to finally be getting the edge on them! In just a few weeks I am no longer seeing them flutter around my house and the trap is full. The soapstone box is really attractive and fits in with the other decorative items in my kitchen. The only negative comment I have is that the soapstone box does not completely conceal the cardboard pest trap inside. If the trap were just a bit smaller....the edges wouldn't stick up and then it would be perfect. But, all in all - I am pretty happy and was "bugged" enough by those moths to set out the traps by themselves if the decorative box was not an option.

Comments about Soapstone Cover with 2 Pantry Pest Traps:

The soapstone cover does just what is supposed to, it is decorative and looks good in both the rooms I am using it in.

The pest traps that came with the covers however really do not do anything.
The fit in the cover is difficult and the trap can still be seen even though it is in the cover AND the traps do not lure the moths in.

I was using a different product that worked great but I didn't like having the traps sitting out in full sight. Now as the moths fly by my beautiful decorative cover I just snap them up in my hand.

These traps keep those mealy worms (and therefore moths) out of your pantry and the foods stored there -- I'm sure it would work well in an office break room too. After throwing away alot of food several years ago, I'm glad there is something out there to atrack those little pests. I'm also glad that I don't have to spray chemicals in my food pantry to get rid of them. The bad thing about the trap is it takes room on the shelf that I need for food.

Comments about Soapstone Cover with 2 Pantry Pest Traps:

I really like the way the house prevents the cardboard trap from smooshing in the pantry, but I had to cut the traps down to size so they'd fit in. They're also not totally secure; one falls out the bottom of the soapstone house if I don't remember to support the bottom. Will you always carry that size of trap? I've had others from Gardeners Supply that were not that size; will my houses be obsolete at some point?

Comments about Soapstone Cover with 2 Pantry Pest Traps:

I put plain old flypaper in the cabinet when the meal moths appeared, and then got the pest traps. They are easy to use and the soapstone is attractive, but I think it appeals to me more than to the moths. The flypaper is covered, and the trap has only one moth. I am not sure they know it is here. Have used it only a month, this may change, but frankly, the flypaper wins, hands down.

I have a problem with mealy moths which come in with the bird seed (I think). I caught some moths only by chasing them with the cardboard trap. Only one moth went into the trap on it's own. These are expensive because of the soapstone holder which is very attractive, but expensive if they don't work. You can buy the cardboard revenge trap separate first to see if they work for you. They cost about $10 for 2.

I think the pest traps work great. Each trap attracted and caught about 100 moths.

Comments about Soapstone Cover with 2 Pantry Pest Traps:

I am AMAZED at these moth traps. After months of scrubbing down cupboards repeatedly, tossing out all dry goods to try to rid my kitchen of India Meal Moths (to no avail) yet not wanting to use dangerous chemicals, I researched & found these traps on your website and figured why not give them a try. The MINUTE I opened one of the packages to place it in the very attractive soapstone holder- about 7 or 8 little moths appeared out of no where all excited to land on this trap! I have a very large kitchen and placed two baits about two weeks ago and it's been several days since I've seen a moth anywhere (except where they belong- dead on the traps!). This product DOES WORK and I would highly recommend it to anyone suffering the distress of having bought a food product (flour, etc.) at the store that unknowingly had these meal moths in it- and subsequently trying to battle their never ending population boost. Truly Amazing!!!!!!

Comments about Soapstone Cover with 2 Pantry Pest Traps:

Every spring for the past 5 years we have had a crop of small striped moths explode out of our kitchen cabinets. Each year we emptied the cabinets and sprayed pesticides in them. I worried about the pesticides. this year we used these traps early in the season and though we see a few moths the number is 98% reduced.

We tried everything to get rid of mealy moths. I threw away everything in the pantry, scrubbed with bleach, and repainted the kitchen and pantry. Over a 5 year period, I was increasingly frustrated. This was so easy, and it was the first thing that was effective.
