This trap is totally useless if you have more than two ladybugs in your house. It claims to cover a wide area, but when you get the trap, they say it should go on EVERY pane in you house. It comes with "improved" sticky tape to hold them up, which means it stays on the window for maybe a week before falling off. The two that I bought caught exactly two ladybugs. Don't waste your time and money.

We applied the Buster to our window as instructed. After about one week the tape let go and the powdery egg shells flew everywhere. The powder inside is extremely fine and was a real mess to clean up. There needs a better (safer) way to attach it to the window.

Needing to be placed on the sliding glass door, I needed to use industrial strength velcro to make it stick. If it falls to the floor, cleanup is a nightmare, so be sure to make sure it is well secured.

We had a HUGE infestation of ladybugs in our (very large)basement. Still don't know where they came from but over 4 months they just kept multiplying. They were found in everything and working their way up to the main floor. Bought the "Buster" and within 2 days the problem was resolved. I attached this gadget to my kitchen window. I never saw any asian lady bugs go near it. They were on the ceiling, walls, the window and everywhere in between. 3 weeks later, it fell from the window. The stick-on tapes were still firmly attached to the window itself. White 'sand' went everywhere and after cleanup went promptly into the garbage. Don't waste your money. Much too expensive for such a flimsy 'trap'.

Was unhappy with the self-adhesive strips. On one side, the adhesive backing pulled off the adhesive and I had to improvise with some double-backed tape to get it to stick. Hard to get unit level at top of window. However, despite this, I have had this installed for about 3 weeks and have only found ONE ladybug on the floor of my basement bathroom in that time. This compares to having 10 per day every day on the window sill and floor. I could not believe how instantaneously this device worked to capture the ladybugs!

I notice others had the same problem with this product falling off the window. I called the manufacturer and they were most helpful and cooperative. Apparently there was a technical problem with the tape, which has been resolved. Now, with the new tape and a trap in each problem window, we have no more ladybug problem. It takes a few days to work, but this is an ingeniously simple well-made product the only thing that works, and we've tried everything else.

These were the Japanese stink bugs that look like ladybugs. When the weather starts warming we had them on the back porch and the ceiling of our master bedroom, too numerous to count. Two of these traps were placed up high on our screened in porch and since then, we have not seen any of these bugs in the house. I recommended them to our Active Adult community because of the success we have had. I need to say thanks, because these bugs were a deterrent from enjoying the beautiful weather and I hated counting bugs at night instead of sheep!

Last year I was plagued by Asian Ladybugs from the first warm days of spring through late fall. They managed to creep past the most secure window frames. This year I put a Ladybug Buster from Gardener's Supply up on the window that seems to be the most attractive to the bugs. It's a southwest facing window in my dining area. and last year there were times there were 50 or more ladybugs on that window at a time. EEEWWW, the stench when they were killed! The bug buster seems to be doing its job so far. The weather has been shifty this spring but even on the hottest days the lady bug population inside seems to be dramatically reduced. Reactivating the bait is simple, the trap is unobtrusive up in the corner of the window, and it seems to really do the job. It is early in the season and I am eager to see how well it works once the days get hotter and stay that way but, for now, it seems to be a great product. The only problem I have had is that exactly one week after I put it up the sticky foam strips that are intended to anchor it to the window failed and it fell. It didn't break and I reattached it using a general purpose contact adhesive.

Every spring and fall we have difficulty with lady bugs invading my house - this is especially a concern this year since we have a toddler who loves to put things in his mouth. We live in an old house and get inundated by lady bugs twice per year. I installed the Lady Bug Busters about two weeks ago in three 'hot spots' around the house in preparation for their out-migration. So far I have not seen one bug actually go into the trap. For the most part they still climb on the windows and drapes where the traps are set. I have seen an increase in the number of lady bugs at these locations though. So I think the attractant is working, perhaps our lady bugs are too stupid to climb into the trap. For now I am still making my nightly rounds with the dust buster vacuum. I bought one of these two years ago and it worked like a charm -- within a couple of weeks, I had almost no ladybugs in my bathroom. Last year, there were very few bugs as well.

This year, I replaced the unit with a new one. It is not having a noticeable effect -- the number of ladybugs has increased since I installed it three weeks ago. One day, I even left the attractant rod in a cup of water on the window sill for a while to rehydrate it -- when I went back, there was one ladybug on it (probably a random event) and dozens elsewhere around the windows -- nowhere near the so-called attractant.

I researched this product and got mixed reviews. I have a major asian beetle (not ladybug) issue. They appear especially in my bathrooms but are found dead/alive throughout my home. I did not buy enough to cover each window section as the instructions suggested. I've been invaded with these asian lady bugs on the south facing rooms of the house. I put one trap on each of the two large windows facing south. I still get lady bugs but I do believe quite a few less than I would have w/o the traps, based on comparison to another south facing room.

I found these to be completely ineffective. I put two in the windows of rooms with swarms of the pests and weeks later have found only a few insects in each trap. I am shocked at how many people are disappointed by the Lady Bug Buster. These traps have saved my sanity, by consistently controlling the Asian Lady Beetle Population in my home all winter. The benefit is two fold, as not only is it removing all the disgusting things as they come in, it is preventing them from breeding and making even more.

I am on my second trap, the first one lasted one full "ladybug" season (do not need it in the summer months) plus half of this season.

I can tell when the lure needs soaking, as suddenly there will be many more of the nasty things around. If I delay soaking for too long, it takes a while to see the population of them go down again, as they seem to breed quickly.

This "ladybug Buster" is a wonderful amazing thing.

We put one upstairs and one downstairs. I gave it a 4 instead of 5 because some of our windows have wood slats separating the panes and the panes are smaller than the Buster so we attached it to the side of the refrigerator that faces the window. It works just as well there and is a little more out of sight. There were tons of bugs in the house and within 24 hours of putting up the Buster, there 2-3 on both levels of the house. As soon as I figure out where to put it, I am going to buy one for my grandparents.

This product is advertised as a lure and trap for Asian ladybeetles, a useful insect in gardens, but one which likes to winter inside and becomes an annoying pest. Apparently some of the beetles are immune to the material used as a lure, so it has only reduced the total of beetles divebombing us by maybe 2/3. The mfr recommends attaching it to a window, but since electric lights or mirrors with electric lights seem far more attractive to these beetles, a version that could attach to a lamp shade might get them all.

We bought it to use in a high window (25ft up) where the ladybugs seem to all get in. Thought we would just install it once and be done. I have just vacuumed about 50 ladybugs (actually Asian lady beetles, the ones that move inside) from the small bedroom in which this ridiculously expensive little plastic box was mounted. Four were sitting right on it, showing not the slightest inclination to enter it. This box does absolutely nothing to reduce ladybug populations in your house. Furthermore, it doesn't fit standard window panes -- be sure to check the measurements of your panes before ordering it or you will have to build a little clear plastic tape "ramp" for the ladybugs to cross. I already reviewed this product last fall. I was thrilled with it all winter.

Well here come the disgusting things again. I checked the lure on the one installed last year and it seemed to have a little left in it, so I soaked it. And once again, the nasty things are making their way to the trap and disappearing.

I have new ones ready to install, when this one gets used up. This is a fantastic product. I can't see how anyone could be disappointed with it, unless they didn't do it right, somehow.

The vacation house we bought was heavily infected. The first unit was (is)about 90% effective in the room where we installed it, so we have bought two more for other parts of the house. You have to remember to "refresh" the element by soaking in water - kind of a nuisance, and a bit messy. We'll be interested in seeing if it remains effective over time.

Don't know if this product works as well in office or professional buildings, but it is great in the home. We had a terrible infestation of lady bugs. In some rooms, almost an 1/8" on some window sills. Now, we find at most 1 or 2. It obviuosly works well and is unobtrusive when put in the corner of a window. We'll definitely get more of these for use at our cottage.

There were a lot of beetles for awhile, but now they have decreased-wether it is the natural life cycle of the bug hotel, can't be sure. However, I could see the inside 'dust' changing shape. so there must have been some activity inside the 'hotel'.

Thus far have not found that the ladybugs are being trapped in the container....still a lot of bugs at the end of each day on the floor in the are where I have the asian ladybugs confined and I have had it in use for over 2 weeks...will give it more time, but do not believe it does as advertised.

Two problems I found with using this product. One it must be activated weekly to be effective. Two it must be placed up where the lady bugs are coming into the home. This is at the peak of our prow window which is to high for me to reach. I had to mount it on a lower window. So we will see if it will work as is. I am hopeful.

We live in a Victorian home built in 1907. There are lots of cracks and places for ladybugs to get in. We've lived in our home now for 5 years and have dealt with a massive ladybug infestation year after year. This year we adopted a 10 year old girl and she's terrified of ALL bugs. Perfect, right? We put one on the second floor and one on the first floor, and since she's been here...she's only seen ONE!! Excellent product! I hope you never discontinue it!

Instructions were difficult to follow--asked my husband to follow and affix to the window. However, once affixed, it is easy to maintain--a simple dip in water. I still find lady bugs but the number has been reduced by about 95%.

I have been dealing with lady bugs for years in a sunny corner bedroom but since this trap was installed they have virtually disappeared! Since the reviews were 50/50, I figured it was worth a try and I'm glad I did!

My one-year old log cabin was invaded by asian ladybugs last fall. I put a ladybug buster on a window that was very popular with the ladybugs and after two weeks the ladybugs are still not venturing into the ladybug buster. I think [$] is a bit steep for a product that doesn't work.

A tight fit when put in a window that has panes. Unable to get the wand out without taking the unit down. Would suggest velco instead of tape for the mounting. Disappointed that it takes weekly attention ( must soak the wand that attracts the little critters for several hours)

Did not attract any of the Japanese (ladybug) beetles at all. The only way bugs got into it was if I manually pushed them into the holes. I am returning these in the mail as of tomorrow for a full refund.

The directions were easy to follow and it was easy to install. It just didn't work. It was placed in the midst of a large group of ladybugs, but the lady bugs did not go anywhere near it for some time. Much later a few randomly crawled on it, but didn't seem attracted by it. None have gone into the trap and I have had it up now for over a month. I have replenished the lure a second time and I still have had no results. I bought two because our infestation is significant, but the second one remains in its package.

I have high hopes for this product. But the tape didnot stick well and when it fell alot of the powder came out. Because it is expensive I collected the powder and put most of it back into the container. Are replacements avalable?

I would never have believed there would be a solution to the Asian ladybug problem. But this product works! Perhaps not 100%, but my house has gone from literally thousands of ladybugs to less than a dozen per floor. I have one trap on the main floor and one on the lower level. We bought two of these hoping to reduce the number of ladybugs, we had them installed for over a month and there is NOT ONE ladybug in them, while there are hundreds in the rooms where they are installed. Will return for refund.

This product REALLY WORKS. I can tell when the lure needs refreshing (soak in water) because I will start seeing the little nasties flying around again, when I come home and turn on the lights.

The only drawback I found was that the lure has a tendency to get moldy. When I wrote to Gardener's Supply about the problem I was answered within 24 hours and advised to let the lure dry out completely between soakings.

The lure is difficult to remove for me because I have arthritic hands, but since I CAN do it, it should be easy for most people.

I have followed the installation instructions scrupulously and now that we are reaching the end of the Asian beetle invasion, I regret to say that not a single one ended in the traps you provided. Unfortunately, the same conclusions apply to the fly traps. I shall return them, expecting full refund. In the meantime, I have spent hours vacuuming as I did in the past.

We have asian bettles and the buster doesn't seem to be catching anything. I have soaked the attactent and still nothing. I have the cluster fly buster and it gets many of the flys. So far I am not imprssed with lady bug buster.

We live in a heavily forested area in North Eastern US, and over the last couple years have not even been able to just go in and out of the house without bringing in lady bugs; or these bugs getting through the smallest cracks and crevices. This stuff really works! We have found less and less lady bugs in our home! This is a genius invention, and environmentally friendly too!

The lure needs to be soaked weekly to activate, it's difficult to remove and one of the two I purchased has mold growing on the bait.
I don't see any lady bugs inside and the traps have been out and activated for weeks during prime season.

I was skeptical at first; but decided to buy just one to see how effective it was. Now I wished I would have purchased two additional! I have 3 large bay windows and that is where they all hang out, trying to get outdoors and moved toward the light. Just having one to install, I was surprised how effective it worked! I will be purchasing two more before the cold weather returns as that is when they will return to the indoors and I will be waiting!
