I was hoping this product would be the answer to my mosquito nightmare, and it was not. We live by a lake with a TON of mosquitos, day and night. I found this product to be almost totally ineffective.

I followed the directions to the letter. Applied this to our back yard and patio area. No mosquitos for about 2 weeks, then we were completely swarmed 2 nights ago. So, it doesn't appear to work for any length of time.

This product smelled strongly of garlic right out of the container, but the smell wore off after we put it on the yard. We spend a significant time in our backyard and noticed that the mosquitoes were still heavily present, however, we had many fewer bites. Overall, I think this product did help, but works best in conjunction with other remedies if mosquitoes are extra thick.

I started using the product to repel mosquitoes and fell in love with the ease of use. I love the smell and got a pleasant surprise when my flowers were greatly enhanced by too. I ordered more so I can start using it in the spring.

We use this product on the grass near the lake. It keeps away all kinds of bugs and makes beach parties more fun. We tried another product from the local garden store, but this works much better, is easier to apply, and we like the scent.

I live in a veritable mosquito hell, close to the Connecticut River. As I didn't get around to installing bat boxes, and the mosquitos in my yard were so thick that it was problematic to even go out to feed the birds, I gave this a try. I had low expectations.

Amazingly, the next day, I was able to walk and work comfortably in the yard. Ninety percent of the problem seemed to be magically eliminated. It is now 3-4 weeks later and the bugs are pretty awful again. Frustrating to have to reapply about four times per season, but it really isn't a big deal, and if it works, it's worth it. However, I'd still prefer to attract some bats and will give bat houses a try next spring.

I did not have a problem with the smell that other reviewers had. No worse, and probably better, than the smell of your average petro-chemical product.

Altough I did see a difference in the amount of mosquitos by the next day, it did not get rid of all the mosquitos. We were still being bite each and every day but we had far fewer bites than normal.

Not sure this product does much against mosquitos, but for people it's a different story. It smells an aweful lot like burnt garlic. Pretty off-putting.

Mosquitoes were plentiful in our yard after several weeks of afternoon thunderstorms. We spread the mosquito granules and three weeks later, there are still no mosquitoes. It takes a good six hours for the garlic odor to disappear, but after that our guests and our grandchildren didn't notice it at all.

This stuff worked well, even in the extreme heat and humidity of SC. It took about 2 minutes to treat my yard (just shake the pellets around), and we were skeeter & gnat free for a couple of weeks. I didn't mind the initially strong garlic odor, but some folks might fuss about it. More importantly, the insects didn't seem to like it all. I'm on my third order of it, and will definitely buy it again next summer.

The three times I've used it, I don't believe there was much of a difference in the misquito population flying around. The initial smell was very strong and after a few minutes I couldn't take it anymore and had to leave the area for about 30 minutes.

This stuff works great to repel the skeeters. It does not kill them (it doesn't claim to, though). The best part is that it is organic and works great. It also has the added benefit of adding nutrients to the lawn.
Yes, there is an odor, but it smells like salad dressing, so it is not bad at all. The draw back is that the salad dressing scent makes you hungry! Overall a good product that works well on the lawn in my wooded backyard.

After my work is done, I love to sit in the yard with a book. Unfortunately the gnats and mosquitos are at their worst at this time. I spread a circle of repellent around the chaise lounge and relax in peace. The aroma is noticeable, but not unpleasant, and you get used to it quickly. Long-lasting.

This product was easy to apply and seemed to work. I didn't get bit up as much after applying it. Unfortunately, soon after application we got lots of rain for several days, so I'm not sure how long it would last under normal circumstances in the summer.

We have tried several products to reduce the mosquito population in our garden, including the Defender model of Mosquito Magnet. I gave the Mosquito Magnet away after using this product. It lasts up to thirty days and can be applied in just a few minutes. I simply took handfuls and broadcast into the flower beds and lawn. Sure makes it nice when the grandchildren visit.

We were very excited about this product because it is safe to use. We were really hoping to see a decrease in the number of mosquitos in our backyard. We do not have any standing water, but for some reason, we can't go outside without being bit by the mosquitos. We sprinkled this product over our entire backyard. There seemed to be a decrease in the number of mosquitos at first. But, the next day, the mosquitos were back. We were very disappointed and thought that it would last a little longer.

I am one of those people who attrach mosquitos. The previous owner of this property tucked the swingset in the woods. It was difficult to push my son on the swings because of the mosquitos. It doesn't take much of this product to control the insect problem. I use it in areas of the yard were mosquitos are a problem. I can clean up the play area without having to cover myself in bug repelent.

I spread this around my entire yard in about 20 minutes and while it has an initial odor (rather garlicy smell) at first, it quickly fades. Within 12 hours there was a HIGHLY noticeable decrease in the number of mosquitos buzzing around, even though it was damp and rainy for 2 days (perfect mosquito conditions)...hopefully it lasts and lasts - if it does I'll use it every season!

I would recommend that you use a spreader if you are covering a significant area. The shaker works but is tiring. (I have a 1/2 acre) I would also put it out 24 hours ahead if you are having a picnic. There is a strong garlic smell the first day (it dissipates) but the neighbors thought I was making a large amount of garlic bread!

The bugs have been better since I used the product but they are not completely eliminated. I think it's a very good product and I love that it's safe and eco-friendly. I recommend it.

Its easy to apply and it does repell the mosquitos. We have very vicious mosquitos and this repells them. Down side, I wish it worked longer and it does have an odor. I don't mind it, but my husband isn't too thrilled.
