The product is attractive when not in use and effective when it is. The drawback is that you must be available to reset the wick when it burns down. It is good at repelling insects without being too odorous.

I was deceived by the size shown in picture. Most of the candle is made up of foam inserts that when removed considerably diminishes size by about 3/4. I would have to order refills to use the stand, but am extremely unhappy about paying the price because of the deceptive size of the actual candle in the picture shown.

I love this product. It effectively controls mosquitos and adds elegance to my courtyard. There were reviews indicating it was difficult to maneuver the rope candle, but I didn't find this to be the case. I can't begin to say how many times guests have complimented the look of the candle. I ordered one for a friend's birthday and she loved it.

Not only was this a stunning addition to our new deck, but it really did keep the insects away! Now that Fall is here, I have moved it inside, and it looks just as nice there. I'd like more similar choices to use for gifts. Who doesn't love to receive a candle?

The candle and stand look good, but are not practical. When you light the candle, the candle only burns a short while before you have to adjust the clamp. However, you cannot adjust the clamp to keep the candle burning, because the clamp sinks too far into the softened wax. It does seem to keep the bugs away.

This candle is gorgeous. However, it burns very quickly and the wax drips everywhere. You have to adjust the wick up every 10 minutes, which I find annoying. I don't even burn it anymore because of that. It looks great, and I have had many compliments on it, but it is not a product I would buy again.

Candle is effective, and I would highly recommend getting the glass dome to go over the candle. IT is quite attractive when assembled. The instructions were lacking. The candle comes packed in plastic foam, I assume to help keep its shape. There is no mention in the instructions as to what to do with the foam - remove it or leave it as is to help keep the shape on hot hot days??? Also, I am not quite sure I have the technique figured out as to how to advance the wick - instructions should have been more clear about this as well.

...but you ran out of them! The clear glass cylinder allows full view of the 'techno' devise that holds the rope candle in place. It's simple and elegant. It's a stand-alone beautiful piece.

We used this in the center of the picnic table, and it burned much faster than we expected, even with the glass chimney in place and being careful not to have the wax too high. It kept away all the bugs, though. Nice aroma. Not too strong so no one objected as with other citronella candles we have used.

The Citronella Rope Candle is guaranteed to get compliments! It has a nice natural citronella smell, not chemical at all. People always seem it enjoy looking at this candle. It is a little difficult to feed the rope into the holder, but warming the rope in your hands first seems to keep it from cracking when you bend it.

This candle looks lovely on our outside table and the citronella smell is pleasant. However, moving the candle along after it burns down to the holder-thingie is very difficult. And since it is a thin candle, it burns down kind of quickly, so one has to struggle with the holder and getting the coiled candle to move up for further burn. Nice idea, attractive, but not very practical.

This citronella candle does not smell like any citronella candle I've ever had. It has a very strong, almost petroleum smell to it. I suspect this is some synthetic compound developed in China, where this candle comes from. Also, I don't think this is real beeswax either. The idea is good--I had originally seen one of these in Sundance catalog for tons more money. It's also difficult to move the candle up when you need to feed more into the holder. The wax is pretty stiff at normal room temperature. All-in-all I wouldn't recommend this product.

When I bought the candle, I thought the clamp mechanism turned on its own, but in fact, it doesn't so you do have to watch it so that it can be re positioned every 15 minutes or so. The citronella is great though, very powerful. My deck is about 15x30 feet and it helps clear out the mosquitos quite well when we have guests out back!

You are getting a lot of free promotion. We do enjoy the candle and have a refill for it which should easily last the whole season. Good job.
