Add a bit of sugar water to one of these colorful, jewel-tone glass jars, hang from a nearby tree, and wasps will be lured into the jar — not to you and your food.

Comments about Wasp Trap:
We have some wasps in our pool/lanai area and thought this would be a good way to get rid of the wasps. However, the wasps seems to prefer the hibiscus plants in pots rather than the "lure' but it did attract a lot of ants.

Comments about Wasp Trap:
It does attract yellow jackets which is my problem. I use it on my deck by my grills as that is where I have my problem with the yellow jackets. It does a pretty good job and is safe to have around.
Comments about Wasp Trap:
Easy to install but not very effective

Comments about Wasp Trap:
I have it hanging on a tall plant hanger in my garden. It is both attractive and helpful keeping bees and wasps away. Something so simple helps keep the pesty bugs away so we can enjoy our yard and patio.
Comments about Wasp Trap:
There were no instructions. Never did figure out what the cork was for. Only got one wasp.

Comments about Wasp Trap:
These Wasp Traps really work!
Last summer and fall, we had yellowjackets swarming in our yard. The problem was so bad, we wouldn't let our kids play in the back yard. I couldn't find a nest to eradicate, and the ready-to-use trap I bought at the local big-box store was ineffective.
After shopping around online, I purchased three of these Wasp Traps (one of each color) from Garden Supply. I gave the green trap to my father-in-law as a Father's Day present because he had gotten stung by yellowjackets in the spring.
Today (in mid-July), I cleaned out the amber trap in the back yard and refilled it; it contained the remains of about 16 yellowjackets, three hornets, and a paper wasp. The blue trap in the front yard is also full of yellowjackets and other wasps, but I can't clean it out and refill it yet because not all of the pests have expired!
For bait, I am using clear corn syrup diluted with just enough water to make it runny.
In case you are wondering, I have caught no honeybees nor bumblebees in my traps. It was very important to me that the traps not catch pollinators.

Comments about Wasp Trap:
This is a fine product but is presented in a way that is misleading. Most people who are trying to get rid of "wasps" around their picnic areas or pools actually have the yellowjacket variety of bee. They are attracted by meat, not sugar water. If you pop some commercial yellowjacket attractant in these (or a piece of grilled sausage), you will catch the little blighters. These may be a more attractive alternative to the commercial, plastic traps. The sugar water may catch other varieties of wasps -- that I cannot speak to.
Comments about Wasp Trap:
I haven't caught one wasp yet!
Comments about Wasp Trap:
What a lovely wasp trap -- who knew wasp traps could be so attractive! I love the turqoise color. Have not had it up long so I cannot comment if it works well

Comments about Wasp Trap:
These were a bit larger than I expected, and I have yet to lure a single wasp. Perhaps it doesn't work for red wasps? Nevertheless, there may be a territorial element at play because I have noticed fewer wasps around the deck since hanging the trap.
Comments about Wasp Trap:
We have a lot of wasps and none of them go into this trap. The instructions for use are poor. The container is pretty and that about does it for the usefulness. Waste of money.

Comments about Wasp Trap:
Confusing to set up first time. Plug goes in the top, not the bottom hole. Doesn't have to hang, my worked fine sitting on the rail farthest from the patio table.

We use the product to attract and kill wasps, yellow jackets, flies and other flying pests. Works very good on front open porch and back deck. We find the Amber color works best.
