Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Love the look and design of this but it is definitely not sturdy. I have it on my back deck and I take it in if it gets windy or storms come in. This is very light weight and flimsy. It would be blown over if we got any type of winds. Also, doesn't hold a lot of flowers. I have two tiny trailing verbenas in it and they are packed in there.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Great gift idea, very attractive in any garden space.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
planted a small herb garden in the larger one, works great & I can move it out of the wind or into a sunnier location if need be.Small one is just adorable with one plant in it.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Very Cute, adds to my landscape
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This is one of the loveliest outdoor planters I've seen. It is very sturdy and assembles in less than 3 minutes. The design (screw the legs to the bottom of the wire base) works well. Once it is in the garden, I just pushed down slightly so the 3 legs were about 2 inches in the soil. It stays put even without plants/soil (too early ;-) and with high winds. I would definitely recommend this planter. I hope you carry it next season.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Design is wonderful and made of sturdy material, but the size is way too small for anything but decoration. I bought the small one.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Very unique. I added it to a large planter at a slight angle. Really adds dimension. Love it!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I put in in a large pot, at a slight angle, to add more dimension. Looks very unique! Love it!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Overall the stand is great could use to be a little sturdier, planted flowers in it for the summer.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I have it out in my flower garden. I have not planted anything in it yet. Waiting for no frost. I do like the look and feel of it and can't wait to get something planted in it.
You will not be disappointed with this purchase. I wasn't.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Before buying the bird nest planter, I read the reviews and knew to expect it would not be very large. It is very unique and will make wonderful addition to my garden. It is well made, good quality. In fact, I may purchase another one. The four star rating is due to price which is a little high considering the size. Regardless, I'm happy with the purchase.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I have it in my garden in the middle of all my flowers and bushes - looks very nice.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This planter is a lovely addition to a flower garden. It has a natural feel and appearance but also adds a touch of whimsy. It is well made and quite sturdy.

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
WENT TOGETHER VERY EASY AND LOOKS GREAT..LOVE IT!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
As other reviewers said, the nest is very small. However, if the nest was much larger, the whole thing would not be stable and it would not have an appropriately dainty appearance.

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This planter is well made and a lovely design, but I won't be able to use it as a planter since it's the size of a cereal bowl. It isn't worth the trouble to return it so I'm going to try and use it a bird "feeder" to keep any fruit or bread we leave out for them off the ground and away from our dogs.

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I received this as a Christmas present and can't wait for spring so I can get some plants in it! It's big enough to hold a nice assortment of annuals and yet not so big that it loses the impact of being what it is - a bird nest replica. I've got a corner near the stairs leading in our raised ranch just waiting for a decorating element like this!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
My mom loved it.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This planter was used as a Christmas "gift bag". It was a real hit!

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Very pretty design, extremely easy to assemble. Great addition to the flower Garden.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I actually bought this birds nest planter to go next to the fireplace as a decoration. I added some wooden eggs from a craft store and painted them a robin's egg blue. It does have just the 2 feet. I was hoping it would be 3 footed, but used bricks with holes to keep it standing. It looks ok until I can find a better way to keep it upright. It would be good if they made it in a larger size for people who use it as a planter. I think it's darling tho.

This bird's nest planter is just the perfect focal attraction to our flower garden. While it is small and needs frequent watering due to its size it has brought many a compliment and joy to our family!

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Cute little planter to draw attention to a special plant
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Great added touch to any garden. I put a little moss then some small flowers in it and everyone loves it. It is very fun add on to any garden study and pretty.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Very good quality; very cute. Just the thing to tuck around a corner or among lower growing plants. I planted a Bird's Nest Fern...seems appropriate for a "Bird's Nest" planter!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Very nice design. I planted nasturtiums in my planter. Bought 2 . Will give one as gift to a friend.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This one was a gift I'd gotten for someone else, now I need one of my own. It is very pretty and looks very natural in the garden. Very sturdy and holds plants nicely,
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I'm glad I read the review telling how small this is, otherwise I would have been disappointed. Too small to be practical--it'll dry out in our Texas heat really fast due to its size--but I just couldn't help myself. It's really really really cute.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I own three of these planters, a set of robins found one and have made it their home this summer. They tossed out the flowers and nested in a shaded area in the flowers.
I would own a few more except I need the variety.
I adore this planter.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This product is top heavy even without plants in it and the stem part is too flimsy and the threads don't hold very well. Had it replaced once but did the same thing again.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Just a nice little touch for the bird section of our yard. I couldn't find one like it locally.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Planted a pink begonia & a creeping jenny in the nest- Received many compliments ,so I ordered three for gifts.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Build a small mound of soil to fit in more plants. Cover soil surface with supermoss to retain moisture. Instead of using as a planter, treat it as garden art by adding several glass eggs. I love looking at this charming planter ... it's given me a great deal of pleasure.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
The bird nest planter raises the garden to help define a space nicely. It allows for small trailing plants which add depth and interest to the landscape.

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
In the futher I will pay more attention to the dimensions of the product. There is NO way to place all the plants shown in the picture, the nest may hold a half cup of soil then NO room for a plant. I was very dissapointed ,I feel the picture was very deceptive.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
When I first received my Bird Nest Planter I felt it was too small, but after planting it up and placing it in the yard I feel it's just the right size anything bigger would have been to much. Easy to assemble and sturdy. I have had many complements and have purchased two more for gifts.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
The picture makes this planter seem much larger than it is. Can only hold 1 plant and requires very frequent watering due to the small size. Looks cute in my landscaping but way over priced.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
It's very pretty, but shallow, so you have to put a very small plant in it.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I'm moving to a new home and starting new gardens so this will be a perfect addition
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This is exactly what I wanted. I read the reviews so I knew it was small. Fits perfectly in the garden.

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
While this is smaller than I expected it is still adorable. It is not very deep so be sure to water daily or add the water absorbing crystals. I have some pretty violas in it right now.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I was only able to get a couple of small plants in the container. It is very shallow and for small diameter. I was disappointed in the size. On the up side it is cute once it's planted.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
A charming addition to an outdoor garden area - I located it by deck entrance. Was so cute I bought another as a gift (took it with plants and a bag of dirt as a "hostess gift")
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
The bowl is too shallow. Would have appreciated more depth which would have given more planting options.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I love how this looks outside my door. I bought 4 of these. I have 2 of them, one beside front door one by side door. I love them. I gave one to a relative, it didn't go together to form a tight rod. They took out one part and have had to make it shorter in order to get it to hold the weight of the empty bird's nest, without wobbling. I haven't given the third one away yet, after the other one didn't do so hot. I still love mine, would like for the bird's nest to be larger, doesn't hold much soil.
I would probably buy it again, just because the two I have here look so nice. (I helped assemble the one for my relative so I know it was done the same as my two that went together nicely.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Very attractive
I'm waiting to see how the plant(petunia) does in the nest because the nest is a bit shallow. If it doesn't work out for a live plant, I'll put some sort of interesting little scene in it because it's a nice accent piece.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:

Cute
Too small
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This is the cutest garden junk item I have bought besides the chickens I bought too. Very easy to put together and so cute with any potted plant or with alittle moss plant right in the nest. Very happy with the item. Bought two for my sisters and they love them too.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Love this planter, it is so cute, it doesnt' hold alot but its just nice to look at in my flower garden
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I just received this planter and am so pleased. I knew it was quite small when I ordered it so was not surprised by the size. It is easy to assemble and sturdy when placed in the ground. It adds decoration and some height to my garden. I live in a townhome so have a fairly small area to plant. I have it between a pee wee oak leaf hydrangea and a butterfly bush, both white in color. I plan to plant some type of trailing seed in it, in a bright color for contrast. Thank you Gardener's Supply!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Will plant it this week. Should be cute.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
The item was smaller than expected. The ends broke off on the sections right away. Also the ends were wrong, that is male end was female, etc. so it could not be assembled properly. I am an engineer so I didn't get confused - it was manufactured incorrectly. Also very flimsy.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This planter looks even better than the picture in the catalog. It is very sturdy and looks great in my garden!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Mine was so nice - someone stole it! It is adorable so I'm getting another one!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Filled with alabaster eggs and nesting materials. Lovely!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This item was a gift to my sister who like me is quite a gardener. She was so happy when the item arrived & was anxious for good weather so she could find a spot for it and get something planted in it. She has found a spot in her veggie garden, and says it looks great, & that the drapping plant she put in it seems to like it there.. I liked it so much when I saw it that I plan on getting 1 for myself. This item is located in Oregon.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
The BIRD NEST PLANTER looks wonderful in my front yard flower border. Very attractive design ... nicely made ... will be useful with many plants through many seasons!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I placed it in the garden with pansies and as they fade I will put in a spider plant to hang over the sides. I wish it were just a little larger so I could put a few more plants in.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I should have sent it back. It was much smaller than it appeared in the picture. it is much too small to actually be used as a planter! I sent one as a gift directly to my sister and was embarrassed when I received mine - knowing what I sent to her. This was my first purchase from you and I am sorry to say I may not buy anything again from you and I am sure you have nice things. I do appreciate your looking for feedback.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
It is eye catching and a great way to showcase an interesting combination planting. It also warms my heart with the little bird as a part of it.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
The design is lovely but it is too small to make a big impact
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
i really like most products from gardeners' supply co, but the small size of this planter was disappointing.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
The only drawback is that it is a little small. Assembly is VERY easy.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Makes a nice garden gift
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Due to the hefty price, I expected something much larger. I waited all year to ask my husband for this for Christmas. Very nice looking- I will use it for small plants by my door- but would not recommend unless you have a big garden budget!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I purchased this as a gift for a relative. He is an avid gardener, but is finding it difficult to kneel. This allows him to add something new to his garden without kneeling. The added bonus is the depth it adds to his garden.

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Product much smaller than appears in catalog. Much to small to really do the job. Unsteady in ground. There were no measurements in the catalog and I assumed it was larger than it actually is. I'll use it because it's not worth paying the extra shipping to send it back but I won't order anything else from your catalog unless I can get more precise information about it. I think it is overpriced for what it actually is.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This is so small - 7 1/2 inches diameter is way too small and is not enough room to grow a bigger plant. I'd buy more of these for my garden if they were much bigger.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This has turned out to be a great gift for my mother who loves knick-knacks in her flower beds.

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I bought this planter late in the season, and I can't wait until spring to fill it with johnny-jump-ups. I not only bought one for myself, but I bought one for my friend for Christmas. The planter is absolutely lovely!

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Planter is near the steps to my deck and looks very attractive. I would however like to be able to buy another one, larger by 50% so that I could grow more plants in it. The part that sticks into the ground (before 1st lower leaf) could be longer to avoid falling over.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This has become my favorite gift, even for non-gardeners. Make a two-tiered planter by using it as a stake in a large pot, insert shallow bowl for water for the birds or fill with small ornaments.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Holds a bouquet outside my door, or add small saucer and feed the birds or water lets them splash.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
My Oregon native garden contains lots of bird feeders, bird houses and, of course, birds. This item is a great addition to my garden and fits in well with all of the bird decor. I put the planter in the middle of a giant sword fern; looks very natural there. My garden is a Great Blue Heron Garden (The official Portland, Oregon bird.) I planted begonia and trailing bacopa in the planter; looks awesome.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I'm a bird lover, so when I saw this little planter, I had to have it, and I wasn't disappointed with it. It added a very sweet touch along the walkway where we planted a small begonia and some trailing lobelia in the planter. Next year, I think I'll plant sedums in it and I can hardly wait.

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
It's hard to find tiny enough plants to look good in the item. I wish it was just a little bigger; it is very attractive, however.

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
The bird nest planter is super cute, but small. I knew the size and what to expect when I ordered it, and since I'm using it as a backdrop, it's ok. I like things that are unique and not readily available all over town.

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This product is adorable and well made. The only thing I don't like is it is too small to use as a planter. I use it as a bird bath.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I very much like this product, it's attractive and sturdy. The only change I'd make would be to offer it in black !!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Very attractive and easy to assemble but capacity is limited.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Loved this planter in the catalog. I have received tons of compliments and questions re: where I got it. The plants can dry out in it pretty quickly though since it it quite small and won't hold much soil (which would in turn could hold water). The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was that it is smaller that I expected from the photo (perhaps I overlooked the dimensions noted in the catalog??). Bottom line - I do love this planter. It adds neat interest to our garden.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Very attractive way to display plants. I wish it were a little larger and that I could take out the middle section to make it lower to the ground.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
i bought this as a birthday gift for a friend who's an avid gardener -- she loved it! the planter is at the bottom of the stairs into her garden. she put in a mix of cascading vines and portulacca. it's so beautiful i'm considering purchasing one for home.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Though the description clearly states the planter's size. The photo
makes it seem bigger. Any chance you could get your supplier to make
a larger version? I would like to have more of the nests around my yard.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
the basket is smaller than I invisioned, I looked at the picture and didn't read the sizes. The product is still a great looking item.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I put this next to my fountain and it is so cute. I lined it with some moss and placed a butterfly impatient inside and it is cascading down. I have had several little birds visit. Too bad it is too late in the year here in Alaska for them to put a little next.. that would be appropriate.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I just love this design, and it goes with my hose guides and bird bath..........but it was too small for the flowers I tried. I think a small sedum that doesnt need a lot of watering would be best in this.
I still really like it.

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Very easy to assemble, quality product but unable to use as a flower planter. Best for display only or fill with artificial flowers. This is my first disappointment from Gardener's in over 7 years!

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I placed this planter in a fower bed near my house. Its 40" height adds interest to the area. I do wish it were larger.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Bowl part is much smaller than I expected and will be a problem to keep watered in hot Ky summers.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This nest planter works best for small annuals to add a touch of color to small spaces. It would be nice to have a larger companion piece to display along side of this smaller planter.

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
quality product. Better than I expected.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Even though I used the recommended accessories and installed the planter in a partly shaded area of my garden, the soil dried out each day. I remedied this problem by placing a plastic bag (with a small hole for drainage) under the hydromat. The planter would work better if it were two inches wider and two inches deeper. That said, I still like it very much.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Placed amongst shorter perennials, this planter provides additional color and is a decorative accent and a conversation starter!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Like everyone else says, this is definitely smaller than you expect when you order it. But it's adorable, and will make a great gift.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
The 'nest' is shallow and really wouldn't allow plants to grow. Put plastic plants to show - plan to make into small bird bath.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I love the concept of having a planter that resembles a bird's nest. I was a bit disappointed at the small size of the planter. The soil in the planter tends to dry out quickly in the sun. Otherwise, love it!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I love the design and it looks great
planted in my garden. I found the basket to be too small to plant much and it dries out fast. I am happy with
it though and love it's unique style. I would buy it again with a larger planting bowl...and a more stable stand.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
I have 3 in my gardens and they are adorable. I used the moss liners and the hydro-mats and planted them to look like the photo in the catalog. I had to really cram the plants in the nest because it is so small. I also had to move the planters to the shade to keep them from drying out so badly...again because the nest is so small. I hope my plants make it through the summer but I have my doubts. If the nest were a couple inches bigger in diameter they would be more useful. They are really cute though which is why I didn't send them back.
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Very cute design that would look great in any garden. I gave it as a gift for that person who has everything and she loved it!
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
Used as a accent planter in a shade garden. A little smaller than I pictured it, but it works nicely where I put it since there are birds actually nesting in the hydrangea vine behind it. I used pink and rose impatience which are spilling over the nest for a nice effect.

I used the planter in conjunction with a large planter pot and created a topiary. I have received several compliments on my creation. It is simply beautiful!

Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This product looks much bigger in the catalogue. It appears to hold a medium to large potted plant, but in actuality is can only hold about 4 cells from a flat. It is very pretty but overpriced.

It was exactly as I expected...just as I had hoped...[...]Thanks, Sharon K. Walker
Comments about Bird Nest Planters:
This is so, so sweet! Although it said right in the description that it is 7.5", in my head I expected it to be bigger. I was going to plunk a hanging basket in it (and take off the hangers) and it's too small for that, but will look perfect with some ivy and coral bells that I plant myself. A bit pricey for the size, but other than that, very nice!
