We grew potatoes in a number of different fabric pots, and this one came out the winner, producing a big, 13-pound harvest. The porous fabric of the Potato Bin® aerates roots, prevents heat build-up and allows excess water to drain away. Its compact, 18" diameter lets you grow your own potatoes in just about any sunny spot.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
These bags are the best way to grow vegetables. I have a garden and the vegetable bags grew better vegetables than my garden! They are the best. So easy to water and the water is not wasted. Next year I'm growning everything in bags!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have had great results. I especially like the idea that I can position the bags in-between my raised beds. When I am finished, just fold and store. It really makes gardening fun, even for a novice as well as an experienced gardener.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
We purchased your grow bags and potatoes this spring. Our ground grows rocks, very inhospitable to any root crops. We thought this growing system, placed on a concrete pad, would finally allow us to have at least a small potato harvest.
Despite following Gardeners' instructions and making sure they all were watered through the hottest, dryest summer in 30 yrs., our efforts were rewarded with 2 small potatoes, not much larger than those we planted. Admittedly, our raised beds did not produce as well as usual, but we did harvest enough from them to make the effort worthwhile.
We may try these again next year, but for this season they have been an expensive failure.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I love them and use them for growing potatoes, horseradish, and anything I would like to try for the season.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
How much and what kind of soil to put in , how to water was not clear enough because it didn't work for me. And now I don't know how to try again. Do I empty the old soil? Does it need to be outside? I was trying to grow it in a growing dome because of deer.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Haven't tried out the potato bag yet but I know others who have and it has been successful. I'm looking forward to more potatoes next year.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
These bags are easy to fill and plant. We use a tube sprinkler in our plants and the plants never get flooded. I like the bags because I can flip the bag over and pull out the potatoes without spearing them with a spade or fork. Would like them a little taller so that more soil could be added and more potatoes would form. Bought two similar bags from another company but G.S. bags are sturdier and can be reused.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
We have had 3 of these units for the past two years with incredible production from our seed potatoes. This year we averaged 40 per planting. The harvest is as easy as buying in the store. Use store bought soil to ascertain easy planting and watering. Also put them on large plant saucer bases with wheels to make them easy to use on deck or patio. BEST VALUE and QUALITY for the price!!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This product is so great that I ordered 7 more for next year's garden. They are very space-saving. When I'm finished for the season I just have to clean them up, fold them up and store them. No big pots sitting around all winter.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This produce drains like a sieve; must water at least twice a day.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I selected grow bags for my first time growing spuds this year after reading great reviews, having good experiences with grow bags for other veggies and pics on the website showing well contained potato plants. This summer, I am growing viking purple (early) and fingerlings (late) - very early on my plants outgrew the containers and have been spilling all over my yard for months. The sides "flop" and there is no way to make them as neat as the pictures show which makes the overgrowth even more difficult to control. I haven't gotten to harvest time yet but I can't recommend this product to anyone, although they may work better for a different (smaller) crop.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
planted certified potatoes and used soil recommended. Plants grew nice but didn't produce any potatoes. Big waste of time and money
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
First time user. Great!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have eight potatoe bags because I grow for my son's restaurant. It gives me added space for more vegetables to grow.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I am in the process of experimenting with different self-help products. Our soil is heavy clay and lacks a number of essential minerals, so this year I tried the potatoe bags. They are close to the house, so I don't have to run all over with the garden hose, I can keep them protected from "critters", including coons and my barn cats. And altho I haven't harvested yet, I am looking forward to alot of good stuff.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
We're growing beets in one of these bags and carrots in another for a fall harvest. The bags are easy to use, just be sure to water often. They dry out a bit faster, like plants in any container as opposed to in the ground.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
easy set up and use, anyone can do
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Plastic pots kept breaking, these are sturdy and work nicely!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Just got this and threw in some Russet potatoes. They've just started sprouting, I can't wait till they get tall enough to add more dirt. First year trying this out, though I think this will be used for at least a couple of years to come!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is my 2nd potatoe bag. It is a great way to grow potatoes.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Cut up some old potatoes that had sprouted eyes, stuck them in some soil in this bag, and sure enough, potatoes are growing! It's not a pretty item, but it works.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I am trying a vegetable garden for the first time at 9600 feet. The potato bag seems to keep the veggies warmer at night than my raised bed with a cover.
I think I will try a tomato bag next.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have 2 and am using both for potatoes. So far I really love them. They have done a great job in dealing with record heat and a record setting lack of rain for this area. We had over 30 days with not a drop of rain and temps between 90 to 105. If I get a harvest of potatoes it will blow my mind. The above ground floral is getting taller by the day and the bag makes it very easy to hill. Thanks for an amazing product.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have gotten very disappointing yields 2 years in a row with Red Pontiac potatoes. I followed the soil instructions that came with the grow bag. I got few potatoes and all were the size of pebbles. I'm not ready to give up, so I may try a lighter container mix next year and a different type of seed potato. If I get the same results next year, however, that will be strike three. The stems also grew much taller than the maximum height of the bag. Either offer a taller bag or else offer the addition of a cage extension feature that could allow more soil to be built up around the stems.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Great idea for growing potatoes and other crops without having to use a lot of space. The potatoes grew very well and I harvested quite a large crop; all protected from insects and harm by rodents, etc. Several people who noticed the grow bags commented that they would like to buy some; I will use these again next year as they held up quite well throughout our rainy spring and the heat of summer. Highly recommended-even though they won't last forever.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I am growing potatoes for the first time in the bags. In a month or so I will know if I have been successful. In the mean time, I bought more bags to give my son and my niece so that they can grow potatoes, too. They are very easy to use.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
It was fun and easy so far. We will see harvest.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I really love the potato grow bags I recently purchased. My potatoes are already up and growing and I just planted them a few weeks ago. Be sure to follow the instructions..which at first I did not. Start with just a few inches of dirt and add as the plants grow up. This is like mounding the plants if they were in the ground and will produce a larger crop.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I bought 2 of the potato bags and they are great. I used for potatoes and the other one for beets and carrots. I am short 4'10 and these bags are the perfect size for me. I can't wait to order some of the other bags for next years garden.
The bags were easy to fill and to weed. They held enough water that I only had to water 3 times a week and we have been hit with some really hot and humid weather out here in Ohio
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Last year we grew zucchinis in our kitchen garden but they took up too much space. We did not want to expand the garden or make a new one, so the potato grow bags were the perfect solution. We have gotten 4 zuchinni within a month and the pepper bags are also doing great! Recommended them to other gardeners.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is the first year that I have tried these bags - we have five of them planted with potatoes.
The potato plants are growing well, so I have confidence that these bags will work out just fine.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I placed this in a sunny spot and planted seedling potatoes. It started growing immediately.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
The potato bag is a great hybrid between pots and our raised bed. We couldn't seem to find the right pot to extend our veggie garden/growing area but this perfectly filled the gap we had. I am looking forward to see how easy it will be to pack away for the winter.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I bought one for my grand daughter and one for myself.. It was very easy to set up on the deck and fun for the little ones to watch the potatoes grow!!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Grew yukon gold potatoes this year. The grow bags are so much easier than mounding soil and weeding. Also great moisture control--the bags did not dry out like I thought they would. Would only ask that some sort of handles are added to move the full bags.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have planted 4 Yukon Gold potatoes in each of two potato bags on 3 June in Va. Beach. They are growing like crazy. It is now 27 June. Can hardly wait for harvest time. This is the first time I have grown potatoes. I used a mix of sifted soil from other containers, compost and purchased garden soil. Very easy to fill the bags and to water.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I bought 3 of the Potato Bags last year & had big success growing my potatoes, even had enough to give away! Decided not to grow any this year and used the Potato Bags for Tomato plants & they are doing very well! I live in MN and have all kinds of weather and they are not showing any signs of deteriorating.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I purchased three of these last year. I planted sweet potatoes in mid-late June. They grew at an unbelievable rate and I harvested so many I was giving potatoes to friends! This year I planted earlier and my plants are HUGE! These are great! I empty them at the end of the season, using the soil an an addition to my raised beds and veggie garden. Double use, can't beat that!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
These bags are very compact and the plants seem to like them. I'm able to put them and move them if needed in places without taking up any extra garden bed footage. If they produce like I'm hoping I will get 6 more next year.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This was great fun. I had one last year, now I have two. It enables me to grow fingerling potatoes which I would otherwise not have room for. Your assortment of flowering potatoes makes it ornamental as well.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I'm growing three different kind of unusual potatoes. The bags are so easy to use - no digging!! The only thing I wish they were a little bigger or available in different sizes. Overall, I'm very pleased.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
It has been so much easier using the potato bag instead of digging a hole in the ground. I put it on a platform with wheels so that I can rotate it or move it to the most ideal spot.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I was a little skeptical at first. I planted fingerling potatoes. I saw nothing for 3-4 weeks . I was nervous I lost all that money. So I waited a little longer. My potatoes are growing great. I'm really impressed by these bags. Next year I'm going to but the herb and tomato bags.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I just planted my first bag with Potatoes so I can't say if the bag will hold up for years or not or how well it will work but it is easy to use and it fits anywhere and I bet it will be easy to store as well. Do watch out for male dogs peeing on the bags though, keep them away, my friends little dog thought it was a fire hydrant.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I put a potato grow bag together for my mother for Mother's Day and her potato plants look great. The cool thing about this bag, is that it can be put anywhere - you don't have to dig up a new spot. It rests quite nicely on bark or stones and hooked up to a drip system, it's just the perfect solution to adding to the garden without making huge changes. I've started a couple for myself using Yukon Gold, Red, and fingerling potatoes. Mine are also doing quite well. After trying the potato bags, I will definitely try some of the other grow bags, and am looking forward to harvesting. In the meantime, potato plants are actually quite attractive in the landscape.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Well, it may be a Potato Grow Bag but I am using it as a liner in an outdoor ceramic pot for which it is extremly difficult to find a liner pot that takes advantage of the ceramic pot's width. This bag was the perfect size for the ceramic pot and the price was reasonable.
I have a tree form Knockout Rose in it as of May 2010. Rose appears to be doing just fine and drying out is not a problem. But I truly won't know until next year just how well the grow bag works.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I'm thrilled at the opportunity to grow potatoes for the 1st time with such a great invention!
I wish it would be taller. According to the online directions, one could add soil twice, but at 17" tall, and with 7" of start up soil, when the plants get 8" tall, one can only add soil one time, not two as directions suggest.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This bag is very large, heavy, and difficult to move when filled with soil and plants. Strong handles on the bag would greatly improve the design.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
the bag needs a support system, it would aid the filling of the bag
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Potatoes are just coming up so we are just starting our potato bag journey. Looking forward to an exciting, productive and confined experiment as I watch missed potatoes or pieces coming up everywhere we've ever planted them. I have one on a patio one on a pathway I'm thinking I'll raise them up on a fine grate to help keep the bottom from always being wet. Lots of gardening buddies are looking on with intrigue as well.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Potatoes are growing gangbusters
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is a great idea! Easy to use and my potatoes are LOVING it! I've never seen such quick growth! Looking forward to harvesting our crop to see the results!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Have used part of our front yard for raised bed gardening. Potato bags (3) use economical space and potatoes have grown very well as of June 16. Easy to add more soil and plants have already blossomed.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I purchase two potato bags and planted May 25,I also planted three mounds the old fashion way in a raised bed. I went on a trip and returned in 2 weeks and the bag potatoes were 6 inches high and old fashion way was just sticking first leaves out of ground.Amazing I can't give it 5 stars until harvest time. I will buy more.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have potatoes in my grow bags and they're doing really well. I've used a container soil and, as the potatoes have grown, I've added soil and rolled the bags up to a greater height. They are just about ready to start flowering so I'll be checking them daily for enough water. I really like the bag method so far!

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
For someone with a small yard and limited sun, the potato grow bags are a lifesaver. I was able to position them where they would receive maximum sunlight and out of the way of my raised beds.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
The potatoes arwe doing fabulously. The grow bag is not attractiove but it works. Anit Sawczuk
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Ordered two of the potato bags last year and was the envy of the neighborhood. The potato bags exceeded my expectations and have recommended them to all my fellow gardeners. Ordered three more for this season and now have five total. Also ordered some additional for gifts and everyone is an awaiting a bountiful harvest of potatos.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I am growing potatoes in several bags and started growing tomatoes in other bags with great success
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I planted the potatos approximately a month ago and they are already huge. They seem to be growing very well in the grow bags. I cannot wait until I can harvest my first batch of potatos.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I bought two potato bags three years ago and added two more last year. This year I came back for three more. I have grown potatoes in hills, raised beds and even made my own bins out of wire and lined with newspaper. But I have been so pleased with the potato grow bags. They have held up well under normal seasonal use and I have been getting a nice yield of potatoes each season. I like that they stand on their own and self drain so there is no fear of over watering or potatoes rotting in the ground. When its time to harvest I just fish through the bag and harvest. I take the bag to my compost bin and dump the soil, let the bags dry, fold up and store away till next year. I definitely will use these for years to come and will try some of the other bags too. These are great for those gardeners that don't have lots of space. They fit almost any where and are not messy or unsightly.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I plan on expanding to green beans and squash, they are the greatest
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
germination happened so quickly, so far so good.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
These bags are fantastic! I have a small backyard garden and didn't really have room for potatoes. I put these on my patio and planted the flowering potatoes in them. I couldn't believe how quickly they took off. I can practically watch them growing. I can't wait until they flower and attract hummingbirds. This is a great product.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I bought 3 of these bags to house the seed potatoes I bought and so far everything is going well. The bags seem sturdy, although they tend to flop over a bit which made filling them slightly difficult. Now that the potato plants are about 12" it's not much of an issue.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Like that I can grow without the hassle of a garden, tilling etc.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I ordered these because the potato bed got the blight last year. This year I wanted more control over the soil. Potatoes are planted and starting to emerge. I can't wait to see how they do.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I know nothing about gardening so, the only thing I can tell you is I followed directions and, as of yesterday... I see the beginning of potatoes!!! (I love potatoes:-}
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Great product. I am growing veggies in mine and they are really happy!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I planted 3 different type of potatoes in 3 different bags. I've harvested all three last week. Very productive. Not many folks in Florida grow regular potatoes but I think with the bags able to shed the heat they worked great.
I'm also using some for thornless blackberries and blue berries ... they both love the bags.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Always wanted to grow potatoes, but not enough room for our container garden. The potato bag is perfect and am looking forward to just dumping, not digging, up the potatoes this fall.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I just harvested my first bag of potatoes, and got about 7 pounds of Yukon Golds. Started them in late winter (I was warned that in north Texas, potatoes will die in the summer heat and drought. I was also told I could start them in the fall and harvest in the spring -- I haven't tried that yet) and pulled first batch in early June. Used good quality potting mix, fed and watered regularly and voila ~ potatoes! Can't wait to try these in the fall for carrots, onions, etc.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
The Yukon Gold seed potatoes are growing quite well in the Potato Grow Bags with the All-organic Self-watering Container Mix. They drain well and are holding up to the weather. I expect that they would be good for other crops next year if the potatoes don't turn out well. They are not flimsy, but because of the way they are folded [...] it is possible for the sides to fall in until the level of the soil gets higher as the potatoes grow. Perhaps folding them inside out might help. But since you probably check your garden daily or more often, it's not a deal buster.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
We are using the potato planter for our pumpkins this year. We've had poor luck with pumpkins, so I'm trying something new! We'll see how this goes.
In our area we've had A LOT of rain the past two weeks, and so far it looks like the planter is draining well. The pumpkins seem happy; though they'd like the sun to shine!
The only thing I'd like to see added to this bag is some handles to help move it around when full of dirt.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is my first purchase of the potato bags and my first attempt at growing potatoes. So far, my potatoes are growing like gang busters. I've also used the other potato bags for my tomatoes and cucumbers. The hinged tomato cages fit perfectly inside the bags. I'm very pleased with their ease of use.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
The Potato Grow Bags have allowed me to take advantage of the sunniest spots - on decks and patios - in our predominantly shady yard.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
First time growing potatoes. They seem pretty "happy" in the grow bag.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
it's too early for potatoes but the bags look promising. love the plant stands.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Works great. Just planted our seed potatoes and they are already sprouting. Plants look healthy and strong.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Interesting idea
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I bought three of these for a roof-top vegetable garden. One for an heirloom tomato, one for asparagus, and one for green beans. So far, they are working just as planned! I like the idea that I can store the whole thing over winter, or empty and fold away. The same qualities that allow this bag to breath also allow the pots to dry out easily, so they must be watered daily.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Had great crop of potatoes grown in Potato Bags last year. Bought more for this year and already the potato plants are thriving. Fabulous product!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
it's my first time using it. it seems like it will be a good way to harvest potatoes. have planted in the ground before, will like to see how
this will work, compared to in the ground.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Not sure quite yet. My potato sprouts are starting to come up. It seems like a great space saver. I have a hard time imagining a 13 lb harvest, but I'll be happy if I get a few!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
So far it seems like a good purchase and may add more next year depending on how they hold up
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is now year 2 for growing potatoes in the Potato grow bag. (I use it for zucchini too!)
I cannot believe the ease of using this product!
Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Harvesting is even easier! I grew a fabulous crop of potatoes last year...I cut the plant to soil level at the appropriate time then pulled out an abundant harvest of the finest potatoes ever!
I cannot tell you how great it is not to dig for spuds any longer!! The bonus is not having to worry about soil in the garden and not being able to plant certian things where potatoes have been.
I sent these bags out as gifts to friends and family so they too, could harvest yummy potatoes without taking a lot of effort or space!
I love this product and will continue to use it year after year! Thank you Gardener's Supply...
you've made gardening easier than ever!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
The bags are easy to use and the potatoes are growing well. The only negative is that I would like them to be larger.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
So far my potatoes are thriving in their bags! They are now flowering and are quite high. It remains to be seen how good the harvest will be. The bags were very easy to plant and I expect the harvest to be easy as well. Just dump out the bags on to a tarp and pick up the potatoes!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This grow bag is perfect for my balcony, especially when i combined it with lightweight soil. Plants popped up from seeds faster than expected and, because of the bag's tidy size/weight, i can easily move them around as needed.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I used this with the flowering potato mix.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I just planted my seed potatoes a week ago, and the growth has already broken through the soil. We have had cold rainy weather here, and the soil in the bag stays nice and warm. I'm looking forward to a nice potato harvest.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is my first time using the potato bag, but I can see the advantages for other crops as well.
Gives me some flexibility in locating crops. It's an alternative to raised potato mounds in wire cages. We'll see.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is my first vegetable garden after years of landscape gardening and we are having one of the coldest and wettest springs in decades. Despite that, the potato bags warmed up fast and within 2 weeks, I have sprouts above the soil line. Disadvantage is that slugs love to live under that warm black bag so slug contol is required. Fabric is heavy duty, seems durable and should last multiple years.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is my first year using these. They don't seem like they'll last more than one year. If they do, I really like them. If they don't, I'll never buy them again.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Great idea! Easy to move from spot to spot in the garden if necessary. Good size.....just right for the Flowering Potatoes! No weeds and easy to dump out at the end of the season, picking out the potatoes and re-cycling the dirt through the compost pile!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have used grow bags for herbs and tomatoes so I'm very interested to find out how these will do for the potatoes I ordered from Gardener's Supply. I have great expectations from these and I'm happy that I can put them anywhere in my garden that I want to put them, and they'll produce potatoes safely away from grubs or other pests.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I bought 2 of these thinking I would use both for potatoes. I ended up using one for the potatoes (the yukon gold seed potatos from Gardeners Supply) and the other for carrot seeds. Its been about a month or so and both bags are growing great potato foliage and carrot tops. Initially, I thought these bags would dry out quickly but they hold the moisture well and aerate beautifully. Not a flimsy material either, so I think they could last a good couple of seasons at least. A wonderful product I would highly recommend!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is a great idea. I have a terrible spot to grow, on the side of a hill and terrible soil. My potatoe plants are doing great so I expect a good crop. The only complaint is that in the early stages the bag flops over until you get to the point it is half full of dirt (wish it came with a few pieces of bamboo).
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have a small veggie garden but wanted a way to grow potatoes and came across this item. So far there are sprouts coming up. The true test will be later in the summer when it becomes time to harvest.
Made of very thick material that will withstand the weather for more than one year of use.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This enabled me to add a new variety of potatoes to my garden.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is my first season using the potato bags & so far, it seems to be doing what I need it to. It's kinda difficult to relocate it...awkward with its fabric sides & weight of the dirt. I was able to slide it a couple of feet to a slightly better position with no problem, however. Make sure it is right where you want it to begin with, or place it on something sturdy with wheels.
Overall, I think it is just what I needed.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I'm growing potatos! I have two batches going so they all won't come in at once! I think it's a grand idea and hope it is as good as Garden Supply says it is. I am interested to see how many crops it can bring in and the wear and tear.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I love the potato bags. I have 4 of them in my yard. It's the easiest way to grow! I've tried other containers & they didn't work. I've recommended these bags to friends & family, but of course, they're not really into gardening. They're waiting for my harvest.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Cant think of anything I like about them. I would rather use a plastic trash can ( 30 G.) or a half/ barrel
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is the first time I've used the Potato Grow Bag. I purchased 3, planted them all and potatoes are growing great. Hopefully at the end of the summer I can report a bumper crop and add the 5th star to my rating.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I'm using the bags to containerize tree seedlings in a safe place until they are big enough to not get lost to the lawn mower. These are great. They are durable enough to be able to drag them around while full.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is a must buy. i will buy this product again and you should.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
These were easy to set up and so far the taters are doing great. I'll let you know at the end of the growing season how it worked. I have one row in the garden of the same potatoes so I'll know if this bag produced more per plant.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is my first year growing potatoes, so far these bags are working well. I can't attest to their longevity, but they seem durable enough so far.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I planted them a week ago and they are up. I will have to see how it does.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
While not a 'beautiful' planter, the grow bags are super adaptable, easy to use and a perfect addition to my patio garden. They keep the soil warm and can be moved wherever I need them.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I bought some of these for our children that want to garden, but don't have garden space. They are going to try and grow some potatoes on their patios. Not sure how they are going to work yet.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is my first year to use this product but I can say it is holding up well and the potato plants are going strong. The grow bags are not hard to use or to place soil in them but you need to have them placed where you want them for the growing season because of the difficulty in moving a soft-body container. I plan on getting more for next year. I will let you know of the production outcome.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Very nice product. Has kept the voles at bay so far. Potatoes are growing nicely. Don't know about durability or actual harvest yet!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
My potatoes are growing wonderfully in this bag so I ordered some more for my onions. Easy to use & store and I can move them around. Okay, so I even went so far as to plant a few pumpkins in them too since I can get the "good dirt" in the bag with the seeds, put the bag outside in an area that the pumpkin can spread out. We'll see how that works this year. Great bags!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Growing potatoes on the side of a hill. I just leveled a spot for a few bags to sit level, and they're doing amazingly well.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Love how easy they are to use. Also, easy to store when you are done.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Would make some sort of ring around the top to keep it open for sun & watering until the plant grows taller.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I planted melons and my winter squash in them this year. My square foot garden was full and these gave me the option of putting these larger items in any sunny spot. So far my winter squash and melons are doing great - growing much better than the ones in the garden. They are easy to work with, move (if needed) and seem to drain well and are durable. I've ordered 4 more!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I planted potatoes in my bags. It was very easy to use and my sister wanted to try them also. I sent her some bags to try. Easy for her to set up and plant.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Absolutely the greatest product! Such a good container for gardening. Stays moist way longer than a regular pot - I put mine on a flowerpot holder with casters and I can move it around easily. I am thrilled and have given several as gifts.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
These fit perfect on my deck and I'm so excited to e growing three different kinds of potatoes in them!
Can't wait for the harvest!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
First time used, planted potatoes, they just sprouted, waiting to see yield, and how they hold up in Las Cruces, NM sun and if I can use them again next year... could tell you more later.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
We had bad experiences with gophers when planting potato seeds directly in the ground. These pots seem to have solved that problem. Plus, they are space savers with portability--love that!!!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I'm growing my potato's on my deck in the bag right now.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Perfect for very small patios and backyards.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I purchased two for my daughter and she liked them so much, she ordered several more. She planted different types of potatoes in each. They plants are looking great. This is her first year to try this product, but we are anticipating a great potato harvest!

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
The potato plants I'm growing are already 4 feet tall and still going.I have had to rig extensions to the bags using thick flexible plastic sheets.Wire mesh could also be used. These bags are only suitable for short varieties. Will use the wire mesh cylinder method in the future. This was a waste of money since they are way to short.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
When I was having some landscaping done, I was able to move the bags to a more suitable place.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
The potatoes have reached the top of the bag and are growing wonderfully. The bag seems to be a great way to grow potatoes. Very happy with it. Will add more bags to our garden next year.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
The add states they can be stored after the season is over. However, ther's a lot of soil that has to be removed before it can be stored away.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is a terrific item. Used two last year, this year I have 6. Probably will purchase more next year.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I was surprised with the good thick fabric that the pot is made of. A fellow gardener bought her pot from a competitor and when we compared, mine was thicker and appeared to drain better. I used the Potato Grow Bag for flowers on my patio. The trailing flowers look great against the dark fabric. Easy to store for the winter made it perfect for my limited space in the garage. I'll buy more Grow Pots next year!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have limited space and this grow bag fit perfectly on a shelf I made off of the deck. It is large and sturdy and so far the potatoes are doing well.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This product is so easy to use and makes gardening so much easier for we senior citizens. Weeding is no longer an issue and I need to do less bending....all positives!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
GOOD PRODUCT FOR GROWING SEED POTATOES ON THE DECK. HOWEVER, ONCE THE CONTAINER IS FILLED WITH SOIL, IT IS DIFFICULT TO MOVE.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
My plants are so healthy and so many flowers and small tomatoes so doing better than my year of the buckets.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I only have limited areas of sun, so it was great to have a pot that I can put in the sunny places in my yard and it contours to the slope of the ground. Also, unlike plastic pots, it is easier to control the right amount of water.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I put three of these next to my yard garden. The potatoes have sprouted and are approx 5" tall - I have tried to grow potatoes in the ground and have not had great success. I can control the ground environmnet with this product and use organic dirt rather than the polluted city soil. I will buy even more of these next year. Great item!!

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I used these last season for the first time. Never grew potatoes before. These bags do nearly all the work for you! It was like digging for gold when I was ready to harvest - I even posted pictures of my potatoes on my Facebook page! If you have never eaten your own homegrown potatoes before, be ready for a real treat. I don't even like buying potatoes at the grocery store anymore.
Blues and Yukons grown from grocery store starts
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I just can't believe how well this product works! Please everything Gardners say, because it's the truth. My potatos are growing to my satisfaction. I will definately buy more next year and also refer friends!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Although I haven't planted my potatoes yet, this is a nice heavyweight bag that I think will be perfect. I saw other similar growing bags in a local store, but they were plastic and flimsy. This one is much higher quality and attractive for growing potatoes.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This potato bag is durable and makes growing potatos easy. After planting them, several layers of soil are added, keeping the seed potatoes growing in a small space. Then when it is time to harvest potatoes, one simply empties the container. How much easier could it get?
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I love how simple the grow bags are to use. I have a container garden and that limits the types of plants I can typically grow. I put a wheeled tray under my Grow Bag which made it much easier to move it around on the deck. The Grow Bags have made it possible for me to grow my own potatoes this year and I am so excited. The plants are coming along very well!
Happy Potato Plants!

I haven't had my bag long enough to give many comments but so far I like it. I have had severe stroke so I have to have easy things. We love gardening and always ready for new things. I have potato plants about a foot tall. I look forward to using my bag over and over. It is late hwere in the south to plant potatoes, but we have had a very cool spring.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
One month after purchase the plants are green and growing. I keep adding soil as instructed. I had planned to try growing potatoes in a large garbage can. This is easier. I don't have to cut off the bottom of those trashcans.
The grow bag is filmsy but it will work if you put a giant plastic saucer underneath and leave it in one spot. So find the sunniest spot in your garden before you fill it. I'll know for sure if this works when I harvest my potatoes in September.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
The Potato Grow Bag is a fun way to garden and is good when you have limited space. I just planted my potatoes so I don't have a lot of information yet. If this works out well, next year I am going to try sweet potatoes also. I was wondering about planting zucchini in a bag, they take up so much room in a small garden.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Easy to get started and easy to place anywhere. Plants are quite attractive and what a plus to then get to eat the potatoes

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
These are great I recently moved to a condo from the country and have gone to container gardening. The potatoes are growing very fast. I am anxious to see the harvest.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
None of my seed potatoes have sprouted yet. I'm not sure why. These bags are very small and would not stay upright until I added some support (upside-down tomato cages). I will wait to see if a new planting of seed potatoes sprout. Very disappointed in the product vs price.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
we are growing potatoes, carrots.
very portable.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Only reason not 5 stars is because it is too early in the growing season, but so far so good. No mold seen as in plastic bags. Quick germination of seed potatoes , and holds moisture well. Can't wait to try your potatoes.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I am so proud to grow my own potatos and I love the great taste. They are so much better than anything you can buy in the store.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This product is an excellent source for growing a variety of vegetables from seed or young plants. Black material adds in keeping soil warm from cool Pacific breeze and marine fog layer. Easy storage, mobile and light-weight.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
While I love to grow potatoes, I always dreaded having to dig them out of the ground. I would have to dig down several feet and I have MS so this was just too difficult for me to do. My grow bags make potato growing a lot easier.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Perfect for annual plant growth like vegetables, also use for spring and summer flowers/plants...light and fold awayable afterwards! AM using them on a balcony/patio in New York.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Planted potatoes in the bag the first time this year!!! Easy to set up and my potatoes plants are already 6 inches tall!!!! Can't wait to see how the harvest is this season!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Enables me to grow things I cannot grow elsewhere in my garden.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Very easy to plant potatoes in (my first attempt at growing). It's been 2 weeks and one planter almost needs more soil added. I am very excited abou this product.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
product seems to be great started potateos and there growing great will be back to buy more and other stuff too.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I haven't seen the potatoes yet, but it, like the strawberry grow bag, are hard to fill evenly, so it isn't tippy, but drains reasonably well
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Compact, great for patio gardening, drains well. I really like the fact that I can wash off, fold up and put away for next spring.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
When potatoes are initially placed in the bag, before extra soil has been added to cover up the emrging shoots, the bag is at risk of blowing away in the wind. I stock a brick in the bottom and removed it after the soild (and the weight of the soil) was added. If you don't do this and your area gets 20 mile per hour wind gusts, the bag will succomb and move...even blow away.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Not only is it good for potatoes but also squash. I was so happy with the two bags I bought last year I bought two salad bags.four tomato bags and seven more potato bags

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I used to be wary of planting potatoes in my garden because of potato worms. These bags take that worry away. I'm looking forward to a great crop of homegrown organic potatoes this year.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
i am a student. thisis my third crop of potatoes. they are easier to find in the bag.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I was interested in getting some of my veggies out of the garden and into the landscape but didn't want to dig potatoes up and ruin the mulch either. This solved the problem. Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Excited about the potato bag, it should be easy to harvest potatoes
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
First time I have tried this. Am looking forward to the fall when I harvest my potatoes. So far they are growing and I am adding soil as they grow.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
The Potato Bag is awesome. What a wonderful way to plant potatoes – no digging with a shovel. After just two weeks I can already see the plants coming through the soil. I'm excited and am looking forward to a great harvest of potatoes in the fall.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I've always been intimidated about growing potatoes, mainly because I couldn't find much information about it and what I did read made it sound like a lot of work. The Gardener's Supply Potato Bags come with easy to follow instructions. I'm still waiting for mine to sprout, but looking forward to eating potatoes I've grown myself!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have 12 of these bags. love them!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I am just getting started, looks good. Like the fact that it is self leveling on uneven ground.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is my first time of using this product and for growing potatoes, so the jury is still out on a full and complete review on it's effectiveness. So far, so good though.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is my first attempt at growing potatoes. If it were not for the appeal and previous favorable comment, I may not have attempted it yet! It's been easy so far and I have my first shoots coming up! Can't wait for my very first potato harvest! I've already recommended it to friends!
Thanks!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is my first time to use the bag. I ordered 2 and gave one to my Daughter-in-law. She and my 6 year old grandson are now growing potatos in their small back yard.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I loved the fact that my potatoes are self-contained in the grow bag. It really is perfect for smaller areas. I like everything about it and would definitely recommend it.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Easy to use bag for growing potatos - note that if you order the planting mix, get two or three bags. You'll need it to get al the dirt you need to grow potatos.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I wanted to grow potatoes but without the hassel of putting them in my garden, so I purchased a couple grow bags. It's still early in the season but so far so good. This product is easy to use and not bad looking.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
first time using this product to grow potatoes seems great so far
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
It just sounded too simple: growing potatos in a bag. But the bags girth, along with the material utilized makes this one special bag. Great for potatos, but can be used for any growing purpose, and is actually easier to relocate than most traditional containers.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I used a bin last year to grow potatoes and onions. This year I purchased a couple more and will grow radishes, peppers and carrots, as well.
I have limited space to plant in-ground so these bins allow me to have a veggie garden again.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I put potatoes & onions in right away and within a week they were poking up from the earth. I used mostly mulch to fill and then added some fertilized earth. Thus far I am very pleased.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Excellent quality. Sturdy and perfect size and shape for growing potatoes.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Gives me a chance to grow potatoes in my backyard in a container. Like that the container is flexible and reusable. My potato plants recently popped above the surface of the dirt. Bag does not seem to mildew even though I water it frequently.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I used the potato bag to plant my white potatoes this year. I should have bought two, since the package of seed potatoes had 10, and this holds three to five potatoes. The potatoes have all started growing, and I am pleased thus far with how the bag is holding up. I put it near my garden, in a mulched area, so it is easy to water and maintain. I think that I will have a good crop this year, without grubs. I will probably order at least one more - these are really cool!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Great product for limited space!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Now I can grow potatoes anywhere. Plan to use on my deck as a new style container.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have had mixed results with potatoes in the past and I couldn't even find them in the ground the last time I tried growing them.
I can't wait to use my Potato Grow Bags this year and I'll know where to find my potatoes in the Fall.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Starting a new garden at my new home seemed a daunting proposition. My back has been giving me trouble and these potato grow bags seemed to be just what I needed. They are easy to use and appear to be sturdy and well-made. The potato starts I put in are poking through the soil and look good. I was afraid they had rotted as we had a huge amount of rain and farmers had to replant some fields. The grow bags seem to drain as well as stated. If they continue to do well, I will buy more next year and also try the tomato grow bags.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I like these bags to grow the potatoes so the fire ants can't get to them. So far I've had great luck with this product.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Fantastic idea. Inexpensive alternative to giant pots. Great to be able to fold it up and store when the season is over.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Potatoes starting to pop thru already. I think it will be easier on my body to harvest the crop.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
holds a large volume of soil, perfect for growing potatoes and even asparagus. the big, black bags are unattractive, but i was able to conceal them in the background by placing my own pots in front of them.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is my first attempt to grow potatoes. I decided the potato bag would be easiest. I'm using organic soil and organic potato fingerlings. The instructions for planting are straight forward and easy to follow. I'm just waiting on Mother Nature to do the rest.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I wish it would stand up more erect. I'm trying to come up with an idea to help it.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Wonderful for patio or places with no garden areas
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Really nice way to grow a lot of potatoes in a small space and well contained. Our garden has lots of clay in it which makes potatoes hard to grow. There were a perfect fix!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I purchased two potato bags and they work well with my raised bed and container garden. This is my first attempt at growing potatoes so I will follow-up this review after harvest.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I started my potatoes in the green house because of all the ground moisture and little sprouts are now up. potatoes when I want them and not waiting for Mother Nature.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This bag keeps bugs and critters out, just enought moisture in, and is sooo easy to set up. My potatoes have just started peeking out of the soil already and its only been a couple of weeks. I am looking forward to what I hope is a great harvest.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
These are a great idea for those who don't want to till and mess with large areas, but want fresh picked vegetables. I love homegrown potatoes and can hardly wait to harvest and eat.
Thank you.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Started seed potatoes in them. So far the potatoes are coming up faster in those than in other containers that I am using. I will see if they really hold water once we get into the hot dry months.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I am growing my whole potato crop this year in 4 of the potato
bags that I have placed among my flowers because potatoes are
pretty and with these bags there will be no digging in the fall.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Have not used it as yet but I am about to.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is the easiest way I have ever grown potatoes. Not having to worry about 'hilling' is fantastic; as the plants grow I simply add more soil. I ordered 2 bags & gave my second bag to my brother who then ordered another one for each of us to plant a later crop.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Clever idea, but i think the price [$] could be much, much lower. after purchasing these, i am inspired to make my own in larger sizes. the size of these make them more for the patio gardener not the vegetable gardener. we are at the beginning of the growing season, but i think their smaller size will require more watering during dry, hot periods.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
love have planted my potatoes in it just waiting for them to sprout Thanks
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have a small garden so I put the potato bags on each corner of my garden to save room. Item works great and we get plenty potatoes for our small family. The bags are a little flimsy when you first start and the bags are not full. I prop sticks inside of the bags to keep the bag open.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
holds up well! Potatoes were great & simple to harvest
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Although a bit costly, these potato grow bags really work. We are in year two of use and it appears we'll get several more crops, so the initial investment seems worth the value. We got lots of blemish-free potatoes...and never had to weed!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
First time I bought this potato growing bag. I've plated red potato and russet potato seeds now. So far it seems great. I'm able to move the bag easily, and seeds are growing good. Once I get the potatoes, will share more experience.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Not very attractive, but it's not meant to be pretty! It's meant to grow!
Too early to tell how it does, but the concept seems good! We'll see....
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I bought two potato grow bags and have already planted them with russet seed potatoes. So far they have been very durable to the weather, and have a great size. I also like how light they are in case I want to move the bags. We'll see how they make it through the season
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
It is lightweight and easy to move anywhere in the garden. This is my first year using the grow bag and too early to tell if there are any serious problems with it.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I like the easy set up. I can place the potato bags where I like with ease.
The material is strong and durable.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
So far, it is doing what it is supposed to do. I like idea, I like the product, by the end of the season, I'll know if it delivers as promised...
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I just planted the starter potatoes in the bags. Easy to do, instructions were clear. I'm hoping for a nice batch of potatoes at the end of the season!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This is a great bag! I bought two last year, and ordered more this year for friends. This year I bought rolling trays so I can move them around on my patio.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I'd new heard of such a thing and had to try it. I bought four and have them planted with seed potatoes. The plants are not up yet so may have to let you know how the plants liked the bag and if the yield was good. I love the ease of adding soil and away they go. I live in AL and didn't want to have to water the bags myslef s I placed them in empty spots in my existing flower beds, near the automatic sprinklers!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Purchased more bags this year since they worked so well last year
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Simple set up. Out of the box & onto the ground, add a couple inches of potting soil, pop in the seed potatoes add a couple more inches of dirt. Water well and stand back. Folding the top down like a cuff keeps the sides from collapsing. We also clipped bird netting to the top of the bags to keep out the birds and our family of cats.
Planted on 3/22/10.

Initially, I used it for potatoes, but have since found that it is excellent for eggplant, cucumbers and tomatoes, all of which I have trouble with due to cooler temperatures.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I like the potato grow bag because it was so easy to use no digging and used so much less soil than the barrel i'm using

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I used it for potatoes last year and will again this year, as well as carrots, parsnips and turnips. I think they are great for root crops and the depth make it ideal for carrots and parsnips.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
These potato Grow bags are great. First time user but I just love them. Easy to set up and maintain. Excellent way to grow potatoes and easier than growing them in the garden.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
We don't have a lot of garden area, and what we do have is hard clay. These pots are great for growing things that need room for deeper roots. We also extend our growing season by starting them indoors, inside another pot, and bringing them in in the fall.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
The potato grow bag holds a good deal of growing medium and I hope it will prove to be a great tool to grow not only potatoes but also other root crops here in Alabama. We have terrible pests (grubs, etc) that absolutely decimated my root crops last year. Am hoping for the best!! Am ordering a couple more bags to use for carrots and beets.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have not had these bags long enough to know whether or not they will hold up during summer months. I hope they do because I would like to re-use them. I now have both potato and tomato bags but will use them for other vegetables if successful. Filling the bags with soil and mulch is simple and they are resilient in heavy rains, I found out. I have grown potatoes in containers in the past with great success, so am anticipating the same with these bags. The flexibility and porous material is great for vegetables.

Just recently planted potatoes and can see it is going to be difficult to keep adding soil around plants as intstructed.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I've read the reviews on these before purchasing them last year. My results were great BUT as I've said the DRY OUT FAST! I place them about 1/4-1/2 into mulch, even added more mulch around them.
The only thing that I find funny is some people say they are hard to move. What do you except when you're moving over 80 pounds of soil Don't move them.
My yield was better than expected, about 7 pounds each.
Follow the instructions carefully, worth it. Planning to buy more each season, for more than potatoes.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I filled the bag with my rasied bed mix and popped in the seed potatoes. After three weeks, they are lovin' it! Can't wait to see the harvest. It doesn't appear too easy to move, so be sure you put it where you want it to stay.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I started with growing potatoes. Now I have potatoes, carrots and soy beans. It is like having a portable raised bed.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Excited about end results, but not attractive in the yard.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Planted potatoes in them and they are growing great. Can't wait to see how many they make...
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
The potato grow bag is great. Easy to set up, simple fill and place.
The design is helpful in getting the most from your seed starter because the color keeps the soil warm and all you have to do is add water. It drains well and is aey to care for.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I am using this product for potatoes. I didnt want to plant them in my raised beds due to the fact that they take up too much room. I was able to just set this up in a nice sunny location around the veg. beds. It is somewhat difficult to move AFTER the soil is in it. Sides did collapse somewhat, however I used an inverted tomato cage and that fixed that problem.
I am buying several more for watermelons and pumpkins!!

We put different potatoes in 3 of them and beets in the other. In the potato we also put a squash plant in the center. We'll see what happens.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I used this for white and sweet potatoes. I wanted to grow my own and do not have a place for a regular garden. This worked great. I did not get as many white potatoes as I did sweet potatoes but just growing them was exciting for me.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Okay We are planted. Premoistened soil wasnt fun,but were done. All seems well, lets see how they hold up to tomatoes potatos peppers ETC.Summer will tell.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I used the bag last year to yield approx. 20 lbs. of potatoes. Bought a second bag this year to give as a gift. Now we can have a friendly gardening competition.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I planted red and white potatoes in the grow bag. I like that I can move it around so it gets maximum sun.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Easy to handle and transport with the dirt in it from the dirt pile to the garden. Appears very sturdy.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Am Going to use this to grow potatos as soon as the weather permits. Gave one to my daughter to try in another location
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
It was folded flat when I got it. When I went to set it up it stayed open and was easy to fill. It drained well. It has stayed in place and is not tipping or swaying to one side. I am looking forward to planting my potatoes soon. I also look forward to the harvest it will be so simple. Then a good rinse, dry and fold for the next season.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I was very encouraged by the many positive reviews about these potato bags, and because I have "soil issue" I thought this would be the perfect solution! The plants did not thrive. The harvest was non-existent for the fingerling white potatoes and minimal for the Beauregard sweet potatoes. I had a very rainy growing season, and perhaps these grow bags are not acclimated to the "Global Weirding" weather we are experiencing. I think good soil in the earth is the solution to excessive rain. This probably is a great product if you do not have any rain! We can no longer assume that!
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Used one last summer and just bought a second one for next season. This container grew twice as many potatoes as the standard pot next to it. They both had the same soil and the same seed potatoes.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
We just bought a home and the soil is incredibly rocky. Root crops didn't even seem like a possibility, but these bags make it easy. We're growing parsnips, carrots, sweet potatoes, and new potatoes and the growing bags make it really easy. Some other colors or a print would make them even nicer.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have used these for two years and they work as advertised. I put 3-4" soil in the bag, lay potatoes then keep adding soil as the plants grow. My 2 year old grand daughter loved to dig in the soil and find dinner.
looks good

Easy to set up and move if needed for cuttings. I ordered the smallest size and was surprised at the large size...perhaps I'm space and distance challenged!? Works well.

I was disappointed in the product. It arrived with no directions and was way too expensive for the product received. I would not buy again or recommend to a friend.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
These grow great potatoes and really make it easy to harvest. It took a year for me to learn to turn the top down to keep it standing up but that was the only issue. I ordered more for this year to add more potatoes to my garden. I dig down about 5 inches and recess the fabric pot into the ground and add dirt as needed to build up inside the pot. At the end of the season I just turn the pot over to harvest!

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Works best when buried 1/4 of the way into the ground. Production increases when soil is added periodically over the growing season. One large Potato grow bag is capable of producing up to 15 pounds of Yukon Gold, Kennebec, or Russet Burbank types of potatoes. At harvest time, this product eliminates or limits loss due to fork, spade to hoe damage. Because these tools are not needed. Just dump the contents into a wheelbarrow or contained space on the ground and root out tubers with your gloved hands for perfect potatoes. Last season we experimented with only a few bags to see how well they worked in our ever expanding family garden and averaged 14 pounds of good sized tubers per bag. This year we have added another additional 15 bags. Last years bags were emptied, cleaned and dried at the end of last season (showed no real ware) and will be used again this year as if they were new. Put them where you want them to stay because they will get heavy and hard to move. Potatoes well grow better if left alone and not moved around. Will be adding Red Pontiac and Russian Banana types of potatoes this year.

The product worked great but I thought I could reuse it. After I planted potatoes and used it for a few days it was already starting to show wear.

I used several of these in an area of the garden that was not being used for anything else. I set them on boards to lift them off of the ground and to keep them draining. The potatoes grew fine and will plant again next spring

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
We used this for the first time last summer and had a large crop of potatoes even though the weather was extremely wet. It drained very well and we had no problems with rot or mildew. We did half of the crop in a standard plastic pot and got less than half as many potatoes.

I gave two of these potato bags to a friend as a Christmas gift. She definitely plans to use them, however, says her yard does not get enough sun for vegetables. I never thought about sun requirements when ordering the gift.

Grow seed potatoes every season! Place in different locations to see where plants grow best. Flexible and extremely easy to use. Easy end of season harvest. Clean up well for winter storage. Will buy more when my husband "gets a job"!

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I have tried to grow potatoes and have made the hills to grow them in. I have added amendents to the soil to help them along. Your potato bins not only allow me to grow successfull potatoes but carrotts as well. Koodos to the inventor. Now I can move the bins around to the best areas in the yard to be successful in the Texas heat.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I purchased these to free up space in my garden, which they do. But I was very disappointed in the potato crop. I mixed the soil I used in the pots & watered regularly. I noticed half way through the summer, salts from the water were collecting around the bottom of the pot. After the tops died back, I turned the pots over and discovered the bottom 1/2 of the soil to be rock solid and the potatoes tiny. I suspect the water played a large part in the crop failure. I think if you live in an area that receives reliable rainfall(I don't) you will be more successful than I was. I would not recommend this product to anyone living in dry areas.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I used these with potting soil because my soil is hard and contaminated with salt spray. (The price of waterfront living.) Got over 8 lb of sweet potatoes/pot. Best ever -- sweet, tender, not pithy or stringy.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
I can now grow potatoes without the rotting issues. This 'bin' drains well as well as creating the mounding conditions needed for potatoes. They are reusable for the next season, and store easily. The 'bins' are a little difficult to fill with soil, but doable.

I used it to grow potatoes and harvested so many I started knocking on neighbors'doors to share with them. They all were delighted and the best comment was, "Thank goodness they're not zucchini."

First time trying the potato bins. With 2 bins, had amazing potato crop. Put on side of garden on top of mulch and able to save space in garden itself. Already bought 5 more for next spring.

I grew my very first potatoes and was wildly successful with a good harvest of white and yellow potatoes of good size! Loved this product. Could place it outside my backyard garden and not take up precious space.

Two bags of Yukon Gold and two bags of Kennebecs. 20 pounds of Yukon and 25 of Kennebecs. All perfect and good. Weeds - nil. Bugs and critters - nil. Bought two more to include Russets next year.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
These bins are a true wonder. They fold up small for storage, hold a lot of soil, drain like a pro and when the plants are done, rinse them off and store them for next year. I can't wait to bring them out again next year. These bins are not just for potatoes they can be used for tomatoes and even flowers. They might not be the most attractive idea but they work like a champ.
Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
Potatoes did okay- I rather expected a larger harvest, but nothing did all that well this year... Will use bags again next season and may get more.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
This was easy to plant and also very easy to harvest. Just dump the soil out of the bin and sort your potatoes. I had low yields even though I watered well, continued to add soil and had them growing in full sun. I planted fingerlings but got nowhere near 13 pounds of potatoes harvested from these planters. Those I did harvest were of great quality though. I'll try again next year and use a different type of fertilizer to see if I can increase my harvest. The jury is still out on this one for me.

Comments about Potato Grow Bag:
We tried growing potatoes for the first time in these bags. It was the best investment due to the very rainy and cool summer we had. I did not have any bad potatoes in six bags. They are constructed well and will live to see another season, at least! I look forward to growing them again next year and may even stick them right next to the house. I highly recommend these bags!
