    Comments about Self-Watering Pail Planters:

I had to buy little bungy cords to hang these off my front railings. The plastic inserts almost broke off during assembly, and I was being careful with them. Since the cans aren't perfectly level, the reservoir isn't working quite right, and the floating device is stuck and not floating.

    Comments about Self-Watering Pail Planters:

This is now a very expensive standing planter. There were no directions, and I couldn't figure out what the tube was for - nor was there any hardware. WHen filled with lightweight potting material and plants - it was far too heavy to safely hang. A disappointment.

    Comments about Self-Watering Pail Planters:

I wanted to hang on my fence but still trying to figure out how to hang them. I happened to have some old holders that I could use for 2 of them but needed another one and can't find the holders any more. The holders are called fence hangers and are perfect for the pots. Now to figure out how to hang the other one. Why don't you have these hangers?

    Comments about Self-Watering Pail Planters:

I ordered 2 sets of three in each color for our privacy fence, and have displayed them as they are displayed in the catalogue/online. They have livened up the space considerably. Gorgeous. The only issue is the self-watering feature inside the containers--they are extremely flimsy plastic and most arrived broken. The stick used for estimating water height inside the container gets stuck on the bottom of the plastic tube in which it sits. As a result, I check it as I would an oil stick in my car for moisture, rather than evaluating it by its height within the planter.

    Comments about Self-Watering Pail Planters:

Much larger than I expected. They look very nice hanging off my second story deck with trailing petunias. Only downside was trying to figure out how to hang them. There are two pre-drilled holes, which is convenient, but what to use to hang them from a deck? Had to get creative with twine and wire. Only time will tell how rust resistant they are.

    Comments about Self-Watering Pail Planters:

We ordered six of these buckets and have them in sets of three along a privacy fence in our sideyard. They are really cute--very fun, very good looking containers! I couldn't be happier with the appearance and the plants love them. The self-watering function is not so great. Most of the self watering supplies arrived broken, but not unusable. I went ahead and installed them anyway without much issue. But just a word of warning, the interior self-watering part is NOT well-made. The containers themselves are gorgeous, though!

    Comments about Self-Watering Pail Planters:

Nice planter. Good quality, looks nice. I didn't realize it didn't come with a hanger. I went back to the description and realized it said pre-drilled holes for hanging. I just expected it to come ready to go - just add plants. But now I have to find some wire or something to hang it up.

    Comments about Self-Watering Pail Planters:

This is a perfect solution for the posts on my deck! Previously I had been using a system of "cleats" that would support 11-inch clay pots, but they would eventually crack and break due to the elements. That's why I was happy to find these very generously-sized self-watering cans from Gardener's Supply. Now I have *17* of them attached around my deck and am about to plant them with my summer annuals.

The only down side(s) I can find are 1) I wish there was a terra cotta color option, as the three colors offered really don't fit my home or yard color scheme (I could always spray paint them I guess) and 2) the self-watering fill tube is only halfway up the height of the container, which limits the amount of soil/plants that I can put in them.

This will be my first season using these containers so I'll be anxious to see how they perform, especially since we've been having a severe drought here in Georgia for the last 3 years.
