Comments about Florence Planter with Obelisk:

We think these pots provide too much water. The leaves are yellow and have mold on them. We keep clipping away the leaves and now there are barely any on the plant. We also hardly have any fruit on the plants. They are getting hours of sun everyday. We do like the obelisk cage which is very attractive and could use on a terra cotta pot which may be a better choice.

Comments about Florence Planter with Obelisk:

I recently bought several of them for dwarf Blueberry Bushes. They are very study and large. Filling them up with water is very easy but it is hard to tell when more water is needed since there isn't a gauge which isn't a problem since I automatically fill it up when watering my other containers. I did buy the Potlifter 37-741 in case I have to move them. Since they are new I can not comment on how they weather.

Obelisk instructions were good. There were no instructions for how to plant it so I don't know how to do that. Would be nice to receive some. No clue where to put the dirt.

We bought this planter for a new deck, and it looks great! We have a tomato plant and a climbing vine going up together, which is just what we wanted.

Comments about Florence Planter with Obelisk:

I bought this because my tomato kit self-watering container worked so well. It looks very nice but the self-watering aspect does not work. It did not arrive with directions, but I followed the directions from the tomato kit. The same water is there that I put in when I set it up -- it does not function as promised. I still have to water from the top.

Comments about Florence Planter with Obelisk:

This is a fairly large piece--the planter is approx. 2ft wide and with the obelisk reaches around 6 ft tall--be sure you have enough space if you have a small patio! Quality is very good for the price--better than expected. Also, if you're looking for a nice aesthetic this piece is gorgeous! I happily recommend! Minor things--to fill the well you will need either a hose or a long & slim spout on a watering can. Also, be careful when attaching the wrap around wire at the finial--the small tube anchor broke off with only a little force.

Comments about Florence Planter with Obelisk:

I just bought two of these. I puchased some gourmet cucumber seeds from a napa chef. The plants are GORGEOUS and I wanted a special planter for them. I have searched a half a dozen home and garden stores to no avail. NOTHING comes close to this. Not only is this ingenius, it's BEAUTIFUL AND practical. The Oblisk (trellis thing) is SO sturdy inside the pot, there is NO WAY it will fall over and it literally creates ONE unit. VERY safe for heavy plants like tomatoes and cukes! And because the watering reservoir is so large in the bottom, it's perfect for both of these guys who will suck up that water in the summer. So no more freaking out that the cucumber will be wilted when I come home! I imagine flowering vines like Clamatis would be beautiful or pole beans, peas, etc... The second one is going to my sister as her boys are dying to see cucumbers grow! The price of this is so reasonable for the quality, I am going to be buying more for gifts and for myself!!! Do not hesitate to get it.
