Just received them but previous self-watering pots I've used outdoors have been marvelous. I expect these to be the same. Once I actually have experience I will then upgrade to a 5 which is probably where they ought to be ranked. I am buying more!

This is an attractive, reasonable-priced (on sale) self-watering pot. The matte finish is not too "plastic" looking, and the color is lovely. It seems quite sturdy and will probably last a long time. The only reason I don't give it the full five stars is that the hole for adding water to the reservoir is an oblong shape instead of round, making it sometimes difficult to fit the pliable plastic cover back on unless you position it just right. It appears that it would have been easier if the hole and cover were round.

I ordered half a dozen for container gardening on my deck, and liked them so much I ordered another half dozen. The pots are light and easy to move around, hold lots of water, and are perfect for the tropicals I grow to make the long Illinois winters bearable. My plants grow well in them; I wish they were also available in a larger size.

I love using primary colors in my cottage style house and garden. These pots fit the bill by adding splashes of color even when you are using evergreens or mostly green plants. I love the way the saucer is made to catch and maintain the moisture inside the pot. This works well for our hot and sometimes dry summers in Tennessee.

I also added strips of a wicking material with the bottom in the well and the tops coming up the sides of the planter. I put mums in the pots and sat them on my front steps to brighten up my otherwise dull front porch. They work wonderfully and look great.

I haven't had to water my plants daily since I used these pots for plants on my porch. We have had a very dry season here in Western PA where I live and my plants have stayed green even though I DO forget to water them periodically.

I ordered these on-sale for next spring. I like the colors and am gradually replacing all my conventional pots and planter with self-watering styles because we are frequently away from home for long weekends. Access to the water reservoir chamber seems awkward. It is not a pitcher-type lip like on my favorite self-watering pot but a hose-sized hole on the side with a removable plastic stopper. I will probably lose the stoppers first thing when I begin using these pots outdoors. They would be very hard to fill indoors.

These pot are great because they totally cut down on the amount of time spent on watering plants. Here in the northeast we've had one of the hottest and driest summers on record. Having self watering pot is,especially in ther full sun areas of my garden is just great.

I bought red and blue pots. I put a small tomato plant in the red one; it grew faster and the tomatoes ripened more quickly than in the previous weeks. The red color may have encouraged it and the self watering feature definitely helps to keep the moisture level regulated esp. in the drought we are experiencing.

The flower in the blue pot is also doing well but not as dramatically as the red pot.

I really liked the color but was disappointed after a big rain that everything planted in them was drowning.they hadn't been planted long enough for the roots to take over and when i dumped the water the plant was coming too. i'm sure they will make good greenhouse planters or house planterd out doors is questionable

I like to grow herbs in pots, and like self-watering pots because I am away alot and our summers tend to be very dry. What attracted me to these pots are the bright colors. I prefer color neutral pots for flowers, but think the bright colors are a fun contrast to basil and parsley.

these hold pretty big plants, I have a couple of huge Christmas cacti that were terribly root bound and in need of transplanting. These did the trick, plants are happy they're beginning to bud.

I bought these on clearance as I was attracted to the colors and the fact that they had water reservoirs. However, access to the reservoirs are
through a hole in the side of the container (no outward spout) and I see where it is going to be hard to fill them once the container is planted!

Only thing wrong with this pot is the fact that it is difficult to see when the reservoir is getting full. I wish it had the little cup to pour the water into so one can see when the water level is getting full. I have run it over several times. It is a good smaller self watering container for my indoor veggie garden in the sunroom. I grow small tomatoes in it along with a few water loving herbs and greens.

This pot is not so big and heavy that it is hard to move around. Great size and weight when you are trying to find the best area in your yard for a specific plant. You can move it easily to get more/less light, etc.

I haven't had these pots long enough to thoroughly rate them, but I do wonder why the plug for refilling the water resevoir is oval rather than round. It makes it difficult to reinsert easily.

This is a good indoor pot for larger houseplants. Although I really prefer the oval self-watering planters that were available last year, the oval shape didn't work well for large, individual plants. At the sale price, you can't go wrong.

I bought this to use outside. The "Window Plug" is higher than it should be to allow heavy rain to get out. As a result, if you don't tip it over after thunderstorms, the roots rot. I got it for 1/2 off at end of season so I could deal with this. I would have been quite unhappy had I paid full price. The Green color is not the light green shown in the catalogue or on the internet but a Kelly Green that looks really cheap. The blue is a good strong blue and looks good. I didn't buy the red ones.

We've had lots of rain lately and this beautiful pot never drains. As a result, I find myself tipping it over to let the water out so the roots don't rot. It should be designed like the hanging basket so that there's a place for the overflow to go.

When I received my order,I was suprised at the lack of quality. I ordered five blue pots, and they are flimsy and cheap-looking. I will use them as outdoor planters because they are made with a drainage shelf inside, but they surely won't be any kind of centerpiece container.

I am using the pots for my petunias outdoors. With any type of heavy rain, it is easy to pop the plastic "water windows" off to drain excess water from the pot. However, when reattaching the window back to one of the pots, the window did not just snap back. It somehow popped thru the hole and is now floating in the water reserve. Hopefully, I'll be able to fish it out sometime!
