    poor construction, the materials are very bad, fiberboard base with

    I bought this for my mother, and she loved it. Although it's the wrong season yet for butterflies, she put it out in the garden because she liked the look. I does brighten things up in the grey days of winter. I expect it will be worth the price even if the butterflies don't like it, but we are both hoping that the butterflies do find it useful in the spring and summer! We did not notice any of the problems other reviewers had with the bottom panel--ours seemed very sturdy.

    I have had my shelter for over 2 years and have never had a problem with it. However, I do place it under the eaves so it is mostly sheltered from the elements. I don't see a lot of butterflys around so don't know if it really works as a shelter. It does look very pretty though.

    Love the item. Disappointed in construction as bottom fell off shortly after we hung it in the yard. Have super-glued it back and fingers crossed it holds. Is this a common complaint? Did I get a "lemon" ?? It isn't getting heavy use and we are in a moderate climate.
    Hope your other products are more durable. Not sure I will buy your line again.

    I was extremely disappointed in this product. The bottom of the box fell off after being in the garden for only one week. It apparently was glued on and did not hold up. I would send it back but do not want to incur any more expense. I considered trying to glue back but the bottom does not match up well with the box and I don't think it would work. A lesson learned for me.

    Looks very attractive hanging near one of my butterfly bushes. However, I'm not sure if any butterflies actually are using it since I've never spotted any entering or leaving! Since our property has been designated by the National Wildlife Federation as a wildlife habitat, this little butterfly house adds another opportunity for us to offer these beautiful specimens a place to shelter.

    Don't know about attracting butterflies nor how long it will last, but for now it looks great hanging from the shepherds hook. Melds perfectly with fall colors. Entire construction is tin (?) so shouldn't disintegrate in rain like fiberboard does. Hook for clean out door doesn't work but I'll be happy if that becomes a problem.

    This was a pretty accent hanging in my butterfly garden. After a few weeks the bottom fell out onto the ground. I thought it was just fitted onto the main box but the bottom had been glued to a narrow strip of the wood and just gave way with no bad weather or rain or wind being a factor. Don't know why it would have been made that way. I hope I can glue it back so it stays. It looked great until it fell apart.
