I didn't have toads in my yard when I bought this. I have been hoping toads would find it. I put it in a moist shady spot in the garden for decoration as much as anything else. The product seems to be good quality. I am just waiting for the toads.

Durable, Attractive Finish. Using near my stone pond to draw the toads -- I'm sure it will work fine. It wants to tip just a little when the cat brushes up against it (the base is smaller than the top and its a little topheavy), so I moved it over and wiggled it into the dirt a bit and everything is fine!

The product is as great as the picture and my imagination. It is constructed of heavy ceramic, looks and feels as if it will last for a long time. Not acceptable to leave out in the winter in colder climates as mine, because it will freeze and break.

We live on the Mississippi River and get lots of frogs & toads. They really need a sanctuary in my acre property. I'm not sure if it would hold up in our harsh winters (-40)so I will bring it in for the winter.

I haven't had the opportunity to put this in the garden yet. It's too early for planting season. We had a toad in the area of the garden last year, so I'm hoping that he or a relative will come back and take up residence. Am equally hoping that the bees won't like it. It's a nice, subtle color and not top heavy and will be easy to clean for winter storage.

This is just cute - I scatter toadhouses all around my many flower gardens - I don't know if the toads actually use them, but the toads are there and the houses are cute- so it's a win-win (FYI- I spray a clear acrylic finish over all my outdoor decor to save the weather wear & tear)
