Boost your garden's productivity by providing a happy home for peaceful, non-stinging Mason bees. Slightly smaller than honeybees, mason bees are incredible pollinators. Each one visits as many as 1000 blooms per day 20 times as many as a honeybee! Hang this natural bamboo house against a tree or wall where it will get morning sun and attract bees. Female bees fill the bamboo tubes with their eggs, and nectar and pollen for the young to eat.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
Sturdy and nicely made. Just waiting for the Mason Bees to move in!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I was pleased with [...] construction and durability. I purchased this later in the season, since bees are not really reproducing it is hard to tell how attractive this will be to them. Hopefully the spring will tell.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
No sign of any bees and it does not weather very well, it was very pretty when I received it but now it looks a bit worn out.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Can't wait to see if we get some mason bees! I love the design of this bee house. It seems sturdy and will hold up over time. Until its used by the bees for awhile it's hard to give a review on whether they liked it or not.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Even if the bees don't come...this looks great on my fence wall. I did put a coat of preservative on and
used a brass picture hook on the back to hang it on the fence.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
This is a very attractive bee house. My garden was filled with Mason bees so got this house for them and since then, I have seen very few. So right now it is empty. There is a small wasp that is interested but hasn't attempted to move it. If no one is interested, I will take it down for winter & try again next spring. So I cannot say it works but hope to have success.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
This is a great item to attract a regular group of working bees. Put it up and they moved right in!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I have other tubes for mason bees all are the same size
and smaller. I think some of the holes in here
might attract wasps instead.
Am returning as soon as Iget to the post office.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
We were pleased with the ease of hanging this bee house, with it's sturdiness, and with the look of it. We hope wasps don't find some of the tubes large enough for them to take over!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
We just bought our third house. My daughter has four. I really believe that the bees have had a very positive effective on my various flowers. It is a plus to watch them deciding which tube to use and then work hard to plug it with mud. Our bees started to reuse the tubes before some were empty, so there was no chance to "clean" them, but the bees don't seem to mind.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
This will be a gift to our grandsons who are beginning gardeners. This is a family gone very natural from necessity and what could be more natural than bee pollination. I love the simplicity and design and expect this to be the first of several purchases.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
bee hive alternative...

Comments about Mason Bee House:
Last year we had no pollinators in our subdivision, so adding this Mason Bee House is our attempt to bring more pollinating insects to the neighborhood to improve garden output and increase flowering plants
Comments about Mason Bee House:
No mason bees have moved in, yet...maybe put it up too late. We'll see. It certainly is lovely to me.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
This product is great for my home organic gardening projects - having these hard-working pollinators so close to the garden(s) has been beneficial as well as educational. For the first year I planted vegetables in containers - eggplant, tomatoes, and bell peppers - and have more fruit than I ever did in the conventional garden. Thanks for showcasing such great products.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Cat. Description does not make it clear that the bees will use this for winter housing and that it will play little part in this summer's bee visits. Only when it arrives is this made clear from packaging etc. Not surprised it was back ordered as many gardeners may have thought as did I and wanted it for immediate effect. My recommend, below, it with that caveat.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
This is a very cute little bee house and very easy to install. I am wondering if it is going to end up being only for decoration, though. It has not yet attracted any bees although it has only been up for about 3 weeks.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I just rec'd the bee house and do not yet have any residents. The house is sturdy and seems well made. I expect it will last for a long time.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
This Bee House is attractive, fun, and well-made. It's a great way to start an environmentally-friendly hobby. I can't wait until the bees take up residence! I plant my yard for bees, so they are in for a treat!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Unfortunately, I don't have any residents yet--we had a spring cold snap that may have killed all my wonderful mason bees. We had an April heat wave, then a cold snap, and they disappeared. So I don't know if my nice bee house is a nice home for them. I suspect it will be next year! I'll keep you posted!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
i hope it works like it is supposed to.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I love this Mason Bee House but will love it better when the bees decide to nest in it.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
The bee house is very attractive and well built. We had Mason Bees investigating a bamboo wind chime we had hanging outside, so decided to get them a home. [...] I hung it where the bamboo windchime was, but we haven't had any Mason Bees lately. It is very hot now (we've had almost a week of 100+ temperature), so I don't think it is the fault of the bee house. I do not know when the bees are to start laying their eggs; it is possible we missed that for this year. We will keep it hanging, though. It is nice to look at and I think eventually the bees will find it.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I got this too late in the spring to put it out, but I love the construction and durability and the idea of attracting mason bees.
However, I think this is a product that need to have more instructions with it. Like: when to put it out, how high off the ground, and also that water needs to be available.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
[...]have just hung it so hoping it is not too late in the season now to attract bees.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
A very nice attractive item in the garden area.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
very pleased with appearance and fidelity to catalog description of item
Comments about Mason Bee House:
It is a perfect addition to our wildlife habitat. Due to zoning, we can't raise honey bees, but with this house, we can encourage the pollinating mason bees.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
The bees haven't found this house yet but I'll by optimistic....in the meantime, it's an attractive addition to my garden!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Great product at a really good price. I can't wait to start attracting bees!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Currently we are awaiting the arrival of the bees.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I don't know yet if the bees will mike it but it sure is attractive hanging on the protected side of the greenhouse. It is surprisingly heavy,
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Ecologically speaking, every little bit helps.
Great learning tool for the kids or grandkids.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Great gift idea. I ordered 3 and will use one for myself. It's not what I expected. Very well made.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
[...] I will definitely put it out next spring. It looks like a neat, durable, bee house and we are looking forward to seeing if it brings more bees to our orchard.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
well constructed, attractive mason bee house - no bees have moved in yet. may have to change location, or bring it in and try again earlier next spring.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Wow, it's beautiful. I ordered this as a gift and actually bought 2 more just in case. I love it. Great gift!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
[...] I wasn't able to put it out until early June. I haven't noticed any activity in it, but perhaps it was put up too late. I hope that I see some activity some time soon. It looks nice, and I hope it attracts the bees.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
I bought this a couple of years ago, and hung it on the South side of our garage, hoping to avert the Mason bees from laying their eggs under the shingles of the house. The cavities are almost completely full of nests, and I've not seen (or heard) bees going under the shingles. They have done a great job of pollinating our flowers and vegetables, as well. I'm ordering two more, since we've just planted three apple trees!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Even the bees are buzzing to all their friends about this product. It keeps them in one place and not in empty flowerpots all over the deck.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I just checked, and the bees have moved in! We put the house up about a month ago, so it didn't take long for them to find it!

Comments about Mason Bee House:
I have had this nest hanging on my fence and it has just fallen apart, the top attachment has pulled away , rotted away from the top - not well constructed- don't waste your money, I want a replacement!!!!!!!!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Heavy, sturdy, attractive design. Easy to hang with no assembly. No bees occupying the house yet, though it's early spring.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Useful and attractive in the garden
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Not sure if this will work, but it seems like it should. I gave it as a gift, if I get positive feedback I'll be getting 1 for me.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I thought this would be a great gift for my father to attract bees for his gardeen - he is an avid gardener with a large area full of anything you can think of - flowers, fruit trees, veggies - you name it. When I opened it, I loved it so much I ended up keeping it. Guess I better order more for Dad!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I can't wait till I see some "residents"! It is still a little cold here, not too many bees and similar insects.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
great looking and easy to hang
Comments about Mason Bee House:
It is currently facing south as the directions suggest near my bee balm and other perennials. I sure hope the bees like it!!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
It looks great, it is too early to tell it the bees will use it but I'm sure they will. The only problem I had was finding a suitable location for it out of the wind and weather. Finally mounted it on the SE corner of the house about 4 feet above the ground out of the wind and under the eve. I will probably buy more too.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
This beehouse is not only beautiful, it is FUNCTIONAL. We bought the beehouse to attract bees to our backyard and the beehouse has done the trick.
The price is great - and we'll be purchasing a few more of these to use for gifts this coming holiday season.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
The qua;ity is very good
Comments about Mason Bee House:
We love the mason bee house and were astounded when the bees began nesting within two week.
Fun to watch and great for the garden.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
just purchased-seems well built-easy to install
now waiting to see if it works
Comments about Mason Bee House:
We will use the product to attract Mason Bees.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Have just placed in yard. Waiting arrival of Mason Bees. Hopefully will report later whatever happens
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Very pleasing design - moved me to do more research on Mason Bees and make a bee housekeeping workbook for my 6-year old grandchild. It's really been a fun project for both of us.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Not sure it will attract the Mason bees -- haven't had it up long enough to assess, but it's attractive and a "conversation piece."
Comments about Mason Bee House:
After reading other reviews about this bee house, I decided to order one for my son-in-law's birthday and one to give our wonderful neighbor who is generous with his garden harvest! This item is totally cool looking...even if it never attracts a bee, it's a conversation piece and a very attractive garden ornament. Maybe someone will give me one for Mother's Day!!!!!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Great way to attack pollenating bees to your garden and the simple yet decorate design really is functional for anywhere.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
New and different
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I am looking forward to my mason bees movin' in!!!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I have just received the bee house and was very pleased with the make up of it. It is sturdy and looks easy to take apart and clean. I am anxously awating the bees to come.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I like the aesthetics. It will be educational for the great-grands! And beneficial for the garden.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
The house looks bigger in the catalog. I have it hung just waiting for bees to move in. Let's hope for a successful summer of polinating!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Really hope the bees use it. Time will tell.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Very cute product. Not sure if we will attract any mason bees, but we're trying.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
This was a gift for a friend who likes to watch bees. She was very excited about it and was pleased with its attractiveness and usefulness. She hung it up already and is ready for the bees to come!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Don't know if the product does what it is made to do. Will make a comment at the end of summer....
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I like to help out Mother Nature when I can and with the shortage of bees these day due to all the chemicals that a spread over lawns and corps which in turn are killing the bees in order to pollinate, I feel these mason bee house's will help my area and my neighbors. I have purchased two, and will purchase more for the future.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
It's too early in the season to see if it attracts the my Mason bees. Even if it doesn't, it's a pleasure to look at. I bought one for my daughter and I'm about to order one for a friend.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Very pleased with the sturdiness of the product.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
We have not yet hung our Mason Bee house and had to wait for a couple of months for it so, it was a late Christmas gift in March but, looks like it was well worth waiting for!!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I have just started honey bee keeping this spring. I also wanted to have a place for the mason bees to live and raise brood. When I saw this in the catalog, I got it immediately. I bought a "can of bees" from another seed company, and hung both under the eaves of my garage, out of direct sun and wind. In no time, the bees emerged from the can, and I've seen activity in the mason bee house, so I think they like it. I'll probably bring it into the garage for the winter, to protect it, and re-hang it next spring.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
The mason bee house works. I bought two and by the end of the first week, they had found and built nests in the first one I hung. The second is still out there, but they have not moved into it yet. I would recommend this product to anyone. Especially with the decrease in honey bees.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I hung the Mason Bee House on the south facing wall of my house. I can't wait to see if bees are attracted to it. It is a very attractively made product.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
It is a clever adaptation of the mason bee hive.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
There must be a difference in what I call carpenter bees and mason bees. The bees I'm seeing ignore the mason bee house and continue to bore holes in the fascia board on my porch and in the 2x4 framing for my grape arbor. The bees were active for several weeks prior to my receiving the mason bee house. I'm hoping they will discover the bee house and switch their activity.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
gift for a friend who is a very avid gardener and will need the bees to polinate. Since the bees are in trouble around the world we all need to do what we can to encourage polinators worldwide.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Bought as a gift for my gardening mother-n-law. She loves it so far.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I had been hoping for something to increase bee activity for the vegetable garden, and saw this on your website. I figured for the money it couldn't hurt. Well, mine arrived last week, [...]that same day i saw 3 mason bees visiting the hyacinths. I hung it from the sassafras tree out back on 4/1/10, and today, 4/7/10 already, there are a couple of mason bees laying eggs in it. I should have a great supply of mason bees this summer. Not only will i recommend this product, I will be buying another one later in the season.

I bought this last fall and have had it in place ready for the spring. I just noticed today April 4rth, there were some holes plugged and as I watched a bee flew out of another one. I have a large native plant gadren and I am so excited about the possibilities I'm ordering a second!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Can't wait till spring!!! Very well made and attractive. Hope the bees think so too.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
I bought as a Christmas gift and since it is winter it has not yet been put up. It looks really well made and should be very inviting to the bees in the neighborhood.
Be sure to read the dimensions so your expectations are correct - it appears smaller in person than in the picture but the dimensions are spot on.
Can't wait to see the results

Comments about Mason Bee House:
I bought this for a friend for Christmas and she loves it!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
An attractive and very functional product at a fair price
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I sent this as a gift to two different family members that are devoted gardeners. They both absolutely loved it and both thought it was unique and also lovely as an inside decorative piece during the winter months. It's already attracted a lot of attention from guests that have seen it. Some have even ordered their own they liked it so much.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
It was given as a gift to my nature loving brother and he loved it. Can't wait to see if it really attracts the bees.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
We bought this Mason bee house for our son who loves Gardenwork and everything that moves and is a positive influenze in Nature.
We cant wait until spring to hang the Mason bee house outdoors in the Garden and see it work.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Bought two of these as gifts, both recipients very intrigued. Could use a little more information on Mason Bees. (google solved that issue).
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Will be great in the vegetable and fruit tree gardens this year.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
This product is very sturdy and unusual. Will show it off at my next garden club meeting. I can't wait until my bees arrive in the spring to show them their new home.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
For some reason, honeybees are rare where we live, but the mason bees are our best pollinators. This is an attractive, seemingly well-made product (though it may want waterproofing on the outside for the long haul), and I hope to see it full of bees this summer.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
This was a Christmas gift. It is far superior to what I expected for the price. The recipant loved it and is anxious to use it. I really like the bamboo.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
We are trying a variety of ways to attract mason bees and look forward to seeing them use this in the spring.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Everyone I gave the Mason Bee Houses to were estatic and looking forward to the Spring when they could be put to use.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I recently purchased 3 Mason Bee Houses as gifts, and I am extremely happy with the quality. They are just beautiful and the recipients were equally happy. We live in the north and it's winter so we plan to hang in the spring, and I can't imagine what bee would not like to move into such a beautiful house. These are so beautiful that they could be used as decoration inside. I love the product!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I purchased two bee houses. One for our neighbor who loves nature and my husband who has a great big garden. Since we live in the Northeast, we can't really see how these are going to work. But everyone loves the idea and are looking forward to putting them up as soon as Spring arrives.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Great gift for christmas this year.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Can't wait to put this out at our farm then we can see how good it really works.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
These are very unique to our area. The two recipients are very happy to have these and can't wait till the good weather to put them out.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Gave the bee house as a Christmas gift. The receiver loved it! It was a hit, everyone loved it and wanted one.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
It was a gift for my father. He was looking to make his own but is quite excite to try this one.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
great addition, conversation starter.......enjoy the garden as well as its visitors
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I like the design, but it hangs at a strange angle.
Not certain if the hole to hang the house was drilled in the wrong spot, or if it is really suppose to list forward as it hangs.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
My friend loves it!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Bought as a Christmas gift. Don't know anything about it yet.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
its a lovely gift
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I purchased this item for a bee lover. It was a great gift. The item is well made and attractive. Time will tell if the bees will inhabit it. Anxious to hang it and study it in nature. Thanks for such a unqiue gift idea.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
This was a gift at my office, everyone thought it was a great gift. The office members wanted the name of the place I purchased this gift. Several wanted to order one for the spring. I will do this again. I got one for my office gift and one for my sister who loves her yard. Thank you for making my gift giving easy this year.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
My husband enjoys getting birdhouses for our six acres. This bee house is something unique and will surprise him (Christmas Present). You don't see these just anywhere.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Very happy with the bee house
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Won't put it up until spring but it looks great like it will work
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I was flipping through a magazine to get ideas for Christmas gifts when I came upon a picture of this bee house for a little over[$]. I thought it was so awesome and I knew I wanted to get it. I thought back to a conversation my dad and I had over the summer about how there weren't very many bees in the area any longer and how our yard was suffering from it- our fruit trees, blossoms, etc. weren't as big and beautiful. I was excited to find something that would give non-stinging bees an excuse to come to our yard. Now they can live here!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I haven't had a chance to use this yet as we are up to our ankles in snow, but I am very impressed by the quality of the product especially in regards to the price I paid.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I ordered the bee houses as Christmas gifts. We have a pretty "green" family. I hope they like them!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
The Mason Bee House is a work of art in itself, let alone a haven for the bees (who deserve the best as they do so much good). The construction is sturdy. I plan to hang it (using the hardware provided) as suggested in the accompanying leaflet, in Spring (and just hope wasps and other insects don't find it attractive to the detriment of the Mason Bees!). Again, I am pleased with this buy - I've never been disappointed with anything purchased from this website.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
This is the cutest bee house I've seen. It looks better in person!! I bought it as a gift for my Mother, so I'll have to write another review in the spring

The price point is perfect for this bee house, because you can't build it yourself for this price. The bees love it and need homes like this. It's beautiful in my yard and was easy to put up. Adds charm to my garden. I just love it and love my bees. Thanks for carrying such a bee friendly product.

I saw this item reccommended in a magazine for a Christmas gift under $20.00. I was excited to order it and even more excited to receive it. The Mason Bee House is beautiful, sturdy, and a great gift idea for a great price. I purchased two - one for my mother in law and one for myself. I can't wait for Spring to hang it in our yard. If it works to attract the bees I will certainly purchase more of these.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
We have been looking at the mason bee home for over a year and finally purchased two of them. They are well made and easy to put up. We looked into the advantages/disadvantages of mason bees as we are very concerned about environmental issues especially the loss of honey bees. Well the mason bees seems like an ideal solution since they are productive and non agressive. We have had problems with honey bees attacking our cookout guests. Next summer will be intersting to see how these bees react to their new home and to our outdoor party guests.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
This is a really great product at an unbeatable price! I became interested in Mason bees when I found that they had made homes for their larvae in the spaces behind the "L" brackets on some old shelving near the garage. I searched for info based on their habit of packing the ends of their nests with mud and found it to be the habit of Mason bees. This bee house is beautiful, well-constructed, and most importantly, it works to attract Mason bees to your garden. I've had two out for a little over a month and can already see where several of the bamboo openings have been plugged. I can't wait to see how their presence affects my garden! A great product!

Comments about Mason Bee House:
This bee house is really attractive and looks great hanging on a tree. We have lots of bees in our yard, so I'm assuming they eventually find and enjoy it. Even if they don't, it looks great and would make a very nice gift.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
It started attracting solitary pollintors almost as soon as I hung it. They stopped using it when a drougt hit and there was no mud for them to use to seal their cells. It will be there next spring when they can start work again.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I needed more space for next years mason bees, they multiply after their work is done. This little house is very attractive and durable. After seeing how strong it is, I plan on ordering more.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
Very attractive and fun. Just got one for me and one for a friend. No bees yet, but it's still a conversation piece. Great gift idea and I like that I'm helping encourage mason bees into my environment.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
It's beautiful and so well made
Comments about Mason Bee House:
We are thrilled with our Mason Bee House and can't say enough about how well made it is. We like to help in any small way that we can to protect the wildlife on our property and make their life a bit easier. I'm sure that this house will help the population of Mason Bees we have to not only survive but grow in numbers. This will benefit not only the bees, but us as well since we have recently planted apple trees that will need their pollinating abilities.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I am an avid gardener and am concerned over the decline of honey bees, I hope this will provide a home for mason bees in my garden. It is very sturdy and heavier than it appears but it is extremly attractive. I searched online for mason bee nests and this one is by far the most attractive and unique.

No bees yet, but I am hopeful. It looks like art so it will stay there until I get bees.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
The directions said to place it on a south-southwest side of a building away from the weather & wind but my weather & wind come from the south-southwest so I didn't follow these directions.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Unfortunately, by the time we received our mason bee house, it was too late in the season to expect any occupants this year. We plan to keep it available for next spring's mason bees. Even without bees, it's been an attractive conversation piece and gives us a chance to teach others about the life cycle of these interesting insects.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I am happy to do something proactive to help bee pollinators continue to thrive. The bee house is a reasonably priced way for the average gardener to do this. I just got mine, so I have my fingers crossed about its attracting the right kind of bees. But I am optimistic because the other reviews were so positive. Also a different kind of decoration and, certainly, a conversation starter. Good job!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
An easy way to attract bees. Towns all over the US should buy these in bulk and give out to residents like rain barrels.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
[...] when they arrived we were very impressed with the quality construction and high asthetic value. Overall a Great Value!

I ORDERED AND WAITED FOR THE MASON BEE HOUSE.I KNEW IT WOULD BE WORTH THE WAIT. IT IS SO WELL MADE.
I AM IN HOPES OF RETIRING AND HAVING A HUGE FRUIT TREE GARDEN, AND POLLINATION IS ESSENTIAL!! THIS WILL KEEP THE MASON BEES IN THE YARD, AND HOPEFULLY AWAY FROM WOOD STRUCTURES.
WE ARE DOING A GARDEN THEME CHRISTMAS EXCHANGE, THIS WOULD BE A VERY DESIRED GIFT ALSO! BUT I'LL NOT LET MINE GO! :)

Comments about Mason Bee House:
I bought one colony of Mason Bees from a local store. It fit perfectly into the Mason Bee House. The bees came out, did their pollination and went back into the Mason Bee House in another spot. They are there waiting for next Spring. Hopefully the bees will multiply and I will have even more bees next year.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
The honeybee is not native to North America, but the mason bee, a workhorse of a pollinator, is & this is the best looking nesting box I've found anywhere, and it's a great price. It looks more like a garden ornament than a home for cavity nesting bees. I've shown it to our county extension agent who has ordered several for the demonstration garden.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I purchased two for gifts one for me and one for a horticultural therapy program. I was totally surprised by the beauty of the bee home. Besides providing a home for the bees it will add a touch of garden art to the space. I would highly recommend this item.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
I placed this on the side of my garage that gets the most sunlight all year long...and I already have some bees making a new home. No assemble required and it is very sturdy (got to love that bamboo). Attractive and a really great and affordable price. But watch out because once your friends and family see it...they will want it! Let's face it, the bees need our help right now :)

Comments about Mason Bee House:
This is my hubby's Valentine's Day gift, and so far he hasn't placed it yet, but I'm hopeful that it will bring the mason bees to our area - it sure is an interesting piece - I can't wait to find the perfect spot for it.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Heavy duty cosntruction should endure weather changes.
We are excited to offer our local independent bees a place to increase their numbers.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I am looking forward to installing it on the side of a tree and seeing the bees in my garden.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I bought these as Christmas gifts. Both my sister and my sister-in-law were thrilled with not only a useful but unusual gift. Now all of us are looking for the bees.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
We have not set this up yet as there is still snow on the ground, but we are looking forward to doing it soon with Spring coming. With pollinating bees on the decline nearly all our natural food supply is at risk. Mason bees are excellent pollinators so this is an easy and fun way to help out the bee population, and by extension, all of our plant life.
The bee house is very solidly made and appears that it will stand up to weather and use for many years. It also is a great item to teach children about ways to improve our gardens while benefitting our environment and resources. My children are excited to put it up and have already read the literature that comes with it about how the bees use this, how they nest, and what we should look for. Thanks for a great idea and product.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
Since I have a certified Backyard Habitat, I find that including a bee house is a natural addition. We noticed last year, that certain vegetable plants were not being properly pollinated, and also noticed the scarcity of bee activity. I am hoping that this bee house will encourage the bees to come and stay in the upcoming spring season.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
Shockingly well made for something made of simple natural materials. Very tight and surprisingly heavy. I can not wait to see how well it holds up to the weather. I hope that the seams don't give out with moisture, but I have a feeling that the natural swell will hold it firm. I would hate to have to cover it with epoxy as I do not know how that could affect the bees/larva in the long term.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
We will be using this Mason Bee house begining in the early spring. We think the construction is very interesting and looks like it will work well. Many friends admired it during the hoilidays and thought it was a good idea. I bought it as a Christmas present for my husband. It uses natural products that are renewable.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Bought as present for orchardist
Comments about Mason Bee House:
We are interested in bees and possibly having a hive one day and i thought we could start out with this and see how many bees we would attract.
Comments about Mason Bee House:

Comments about Mason Bee House:
I bought this for my husband who loves gardening. It seems that bees are in short supply, so I thought this would be beneficial to our crops. It is very well made, and artistically designed. I know it will be a very nice addition to our landscape.

I purchased this in the fall, so I won't be able to see if it attracts bees until next summer as I live in Wisconsin. However, whether the bees come or not, I LOVE the look! It's definitely a conversation starter and looks lovely in the yard. It's very different and not the typical look in my neighborhood. I'm thrilled with my purchase!

Comments about Mason Bee House:
Interesting, unusual, and affordable birthday gifts. I can't rate the quality or durability at this time. I'll let you know next year after my two gardening friends put them to use in their gardens. They were both pleased with the gift and hope benficial bees will make homes in them.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
When I got the bee house I hung it on a picket of a wooden fence until I could decide where to permanently place it. Immediately the bees flocked to it and within a couple days several holes were filled. So I left it. Now most of the holes are filled and I look forward to welcoming the new arrivals next spring.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
The bamboo holes should be smaller. Solitary bees are small.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
Great idea for increasing and replenishing safe bees. I plan to pollinate blueberries as bee population had dropped off considerably in my area of the mts. RE Strickland

This is beautiful and made of renewable resources.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
It is attractive as well as practical for our environment
Comments about Mason Bee House:
We thought it was too late in the summer to get this item, but put it up on a 6 foot privacy fence and within one week there were eggs in the tubes.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I've given 4 of these bee hives as gifts this year and everyone just loves them.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I recently bought a home and inherited a beautiful garden with bees who come and go. I wanted to make sure they stick around so I bought them a place to live. Although the bees have gotten off to a slow start with their move in, it is being used as an organization spot for birds' nesting materials. The bees are starting to check it out so the house is starting to pay off!
The Mason Bee House is a pretty addition to the rustic look I have in my garden.
Thanks!
Comments about Mason Bee House:
I purchased the Mason Bee House during midsummer. Bees are not using it as yet. Possible I installed too late in the season. It is a very attractive bee house and well built. May need to purchase Mason Bee larvie to go in it. Believe they not available until next spring.
Can you advise.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
We put the bee house up in July, but haven't seen any bees yet. How long does it take for them to show up?
Comments about Mason Bee House:
With the decline in the bee population nationwide, I felt that this would be a good product to attract them to our neighborhood. Ours has only been up a few weeks and is currently not being used by the bees, but I hope that they will find it and use it as the cool weather approaches.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
The shower curtain hook welded closed on the mason bee house is so cheesy. Better to have left it off altogether. I have cut it off with a hacksaw and found my own hanger.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
This bee house is attractive and simple to hang. Haven't seen any mason bees using it yet, but I just recently put it up on the sunny side of my carport.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Bees are an important part of eco-system. If you have something for them to eat, have a house for them stay too.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
This mason bee house looks like garden art on my southwest facing fence and provides just the type of home mason bees need to reproduce and increase their numbers.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
WE HAVE LOST OUR NATIVE HONEY BEES APPARENTLY. I SAW PRACTICALLY NO HONEY BEES IN MY GARDEN THIS YEAR.
SO I'M HOPING THAT MASON BEES CAN TAKE UP THE POLLENATION SLACK. IT WILL BE NEXT SPRING BEFORE I KNOW IF THE PROJECT IS SUCCESSFUL.
I JUST FINISHED PUTTING 3 COAT OF POLYUREATHANE ON THE HOUSE.
Comments about Mason Bee House:
Very well built, made in the USA.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
This is a really nice-looking Mason Bee house, much better than the paper tube in a can-type. I set it up as per the instructions, and the bees were at it the first day! The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I think it's only good for one season. (I'll have to see next spring when the baby bees hatch out what the state of the house is). It seems a bit wasteful, but all the materials are biodegradeable. It just seems a shame to have to throw out the pretty woven casing. I may try to find my own bamboo tubes next year to replace the old used ones, if I can get them out.

Living in the desert, having beneficial insects close by is a bonus.
Have not attracted any bee's yet this season, will try again next year.
It is lite weight and will blow away if not secured soundly.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
The instructions said to hang it on a southern wall or tree, which I don't have... so it's on a western facing tree. So far, no bees. There are no instructions for attracting mason bees to your yard. Do they even live in southern California? I have read that they do, and subsequently have done some research, but still I feel foolish for not realizing much more is required to attract the bees, and to give them the food they need to live, and the hard, compacted earth for them to make nests (no mulch!!!).
