  • Attractive garden sculpture doubles as a squirrel feeder
  • Golden bronze color

Comments about Corn Feeding Station:

The concept is cute and looked great before the squirrels were onto it. The "leaves" can't hold the weight of squirrels and they break off right away.

Comments about Corn Feeding Station:

I loved the look when we put it together and placed it in the yard. Saw squirrels enjoying the corn the next morning and by evening two of the leaves had broken off. I couldn't be more disappointed in both this product and Gardeners Supply for carrying something that they know is going to fall apart.

Cons:
Flimsy, Unstable

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Corn Feeding Station:

I really like the look of this squirrel feeder. However, it is not nearly durable enough for actual use. My husband gave it to me for Christmas, and we put it out in early January. By late February one of the leaves and spikes had broken off. By mid-March a second leaf/spike broke off. So now we have a half a feeder which is not nearly as attractive. Unless we have exceptionally heavy squirrels, I think this corn stalk is just not heavy duty enough.

Comments about Corn Feeding Station:

Like the birdfeeders I got in the same order, had I known this and everything else I ordered was made in china, I seriously would have reconsidered my entire order. I know we are a nation of import/export, but in this day and age when our economy is suffering, why would most items come from china?

Comments about Corn Feeding Station:

Really neat design but so far it has only been ornamental at my house. My squirrels will/have not used it. The original corn I put on it are still there! They prefer to eat the corn scattered ont he ground for the doves. The piece is a neat design and still a neat piece in a garden or flower bed!

Pros:
Attractive, Attracts The Right Animals, Durable, Easy To Setup
Best Uses:
Winter, Year Round

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Corn Feeding Station:

I prefer this over the metal basket corn holders. The squirrels can remove the corn and carry it off. With this corn holder they find a comfortable perch and eat away. It is always fun to watch how creative or innovative the squirrels can be, and even with this set up, they display different approaches to getting at the corn. Also, in bad weather and heavy snow, it is easy to replace the used cobs.

Comments about Corn Feeding Station:

This was a gift for my sister who lives in the New York suburbs. She has numerous bird feeders and the squirrels are always competing with the birds despite squirrel food being specifically put out for them in a slightly different spot. She wanted an attractive way to feed the squirrels and one which might interest them. She likes the way it looks in her garden and the squirrels like it, too.

Comments about Corn Feeding Station:

This looks awesome in the yard - a fall decoration and and also helps distract the squirrels from the bird feeders. I bought one for myself and one for my mother. She watched squirrels make thier way up to the top. The leaves bend - which is great for arrangement but don't know if they could be damaged by squirrels sitting on them - but not so far...

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Corn Feeding Station:

Right away when I set it up one of the leaves about came off. They do not seem very sturdy however I have seen a squirrel perching on one of the others while he chewed on the corn. Other than that it is serving my purpose and looks cute standing in the garden. I would recommend this with the caveat that it is flimsy.

Attractive but lightweight
By sully3Verified Purchaser from Brookfield, MA on 11/19/2010
Pros:
Attractive, Attractive design, Easy To Clean, Easy To Set Up
Cons:
Flimsy, Unstable
Best Uses:
Fall, Winter
Describe Yourself:
High-end Shopper

Comments about Corn Feeding Station:

The design is attractive and it was easy to set up. So far there has not been much squirrel activity. It may take colder weather to see them using it.
I was concerned that it seems lightweight and may not stand up to squirrel use. The prongs that set it in the ground are also short so it feels unstable. It would do better with longer prongs so that it sets in the ground more deeply.

The next question about whether I would recommend it to a friend should also include a choice saying "maybe depending on how it holds up."

My squirrel tribe hasn't paid any attention to this, yet. I'm hoping they will notice the corn ears when they really get hungry as the weather gets colder.
