Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This is a beautiful piece and a very attractive addition to my yard. I gave it as a gift for someone in North Carolina where the weather is more temperate and it can be out year-around and purchased one for myself where the weather is too cold to leave it out in the winter due to freezing. The blue is eye catching among my green bushes but I think it would be equally appealing in a colorful flower bed. The birds seem quite happy with it as am I!

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I used this bird bath as a Christmas present and all exclaimed over the color. It won't be until spring until I hear about its installation, sturdiness, etc.

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Within the first year, mine was CRACKED glass instead of just crackled and I brought it in before the cold weather hit! Now it's a bird food holder.

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Very pretty bowl. Looks great in the yard. But, too deep for small birds, like chickadees. Had to fill it with stones to keep the water depth at two inches or less.

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This is attractive but bowl is too deep for most birds and bowl will crack in freezing temperatures

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I bought this birdbath from a different source a couple years ago. It is pretty and is easy to install. However, it doesn't attract birds, and the ones in my yard who have briefly checked it out, didn't stay. I think the rim is not designed right for perching. I have rigged up another arrangement with a 12" round plastic drip tray, which would normally be placed under a planter, on a stand. The birds love it, small ones like finches up to large ones like jays, robins, and doves. They stand on the edge and drink. They jump in and bathe. So, I know by comparison that the fancy glass on reviewed here isn't appealing to my birds for drinking, bathing, or loitering.

I loved my bird bath, but my daughter watered, while we were away, and put cold water in a dry, hot bird bath... Guess what happened? hole right out of the bottom of the bowl,,,, I wish I could find a replacement bowl????? any ideas?

I bought this last Halloween-It does not like to freeze-so I had to wait. I just put it out in my yard in the Chicagoland area. Beautiful!!

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The bowl is beautiful but the stand does not provide enough support for the bowl - it's top heavy even when pushed fully into the ground. It could be the soft soil, but I had to leave one section out in order to make it sturdy enough.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Easy to assemble and clean.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Hello! I am very pleased with my cobalt blue birdbath. It's nice to look up in the garden and see it whether it attracts birds or not (too soon to tell). My gardener was impressed when he installed it and asked where I found it. I have referred him to gardeners.com.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This is a very attractive birdbath which goes especially well with blue morning glories.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The Crackle Birdbath I bought for my daughter-in-law's birthday. She loves it and was impressed by the weight of the stand. She says the color is so RARE for a birdbath and it is her favorite color.
They will probably be ordering from your catalog. Their hobby is landscaping the yard.
I love the catalog also.

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The amythyst birdbath is located in my side garden among the purple phlox. It looks beautiful!
Unfortunatly, I forgot to put it inside this winter and it cracked and disintegrated. I wish that I could buy just a replacement basin.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This bird bath is just as pretty out of the box as it is in the catalog. No surprises. It is a lovely addition to ANY garden.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I love all my items!
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
very nice & unusual
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This crackle birdbath has such a beautiful design.
When the sun shines through,it seems to shimmer and sparkle. Some of the colors spill onto the
flower petals, making them radiate with vibrancy.
Thankyou, Gardeners Supply, for offering such
wonderful products year after year !
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
love the cobalt blue color
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Very pretty with a sturdy and attractive stand. I saw the reviews that talked about cracking, but so far so good, Haven't seen much bird activity, but it's been raining alot since the birdbath arrived.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I ordered blue. Received the bird bath today. All over the box it says blue, the number for blue is on the outside of the box. Took the bowl out of the inner box and it is purple! No where close to the color blue in the picture. Whatever has happened to quality control in the USA? I will not send this back, not worth my time. I will probably never order from here again.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I have a small lovely garden plot just outside my back door where there are feeders and birdbath for birds and flowers for butterflies and me. This birdbath is a lovely well used addition.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
We have placed one in a large bed so we can watch the birds, and we have put the other in an enclosed bed area more for it's looks.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The colour is way off. "Amethyst" is actually a pinkish-brown yuck colour. It is not the bright purple of the picture.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The blue bowl looked beautiful and attracted birds. I had every intention of bringing the bowl inside during the winter in the northeast to avoid breakage in cold temperatures. I got fooled in the summer, though. It broke into 3 giant shards when I put cold water from the hose into the empty bowl that was too hot from the sun. Why don't they sell replacement bowls??

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
These are very nice bird baths. [...]. After receiving an unbroken one, I broke it. I ordered another and broke it while placing it back into it's holder while it was full of water. I now have a third because I like the look so much and will put it out this next spring of 2010. I think because the glass is "crackled" that for the most part it is essentially broken to create it's look. Just be extra careful and I'm sure it will last. Treat it like your best china...
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I haven't seen any birds bathing in it yet but I'll give them time.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
My mom used it as an accent piece outside her bedroom window. Apparently, it's a great piece to group with those colorful glow-in-the-dark balls Gardners' Supply sells. Wonderful gift, so I hope someone gets me one too!
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I purchased the amythyst birdbath for my sister and when we moved to a new home I used my gift card from her to purchase the blue birdbath for our yard. It sparkles in the sunlight, is easy to clean, and lightweight to refill.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This is a beautiful birdbath. However the bowl is fragile and it would be great it there were a way to obtain just the replacement bowls.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
It is beautiful tho' the birds have yet to find it. The only drawback is that it is not taller. It is hard to see from indoors because of its height. You have to stand at the window. If it were further away, the height would be OK but it must be placed five feet from the house.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I color coordinated the amethyst birdbath with
several purple toned shrubs and flowers. The
look is elegant and sophisicated.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The birdbath does not overwheln my small garden. It is just right for the space.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Bought it as a gift. The color was gorgeous, but the birds did not use it because the bowl is deep and slippery. Unfortunately, the bowl also cracked (in our very mild winter area) within the first month. Was very disappointed!
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This is the third one of these I've bought--this time as a gift for a sister who admired mine. Lovely addition to the garden and a solid, sturdy stand, but the glass bowl does not tolerate any sudden drops in temperature--it has to come inside before any threat of frost. PLEASE offer just the glass bowl for replacements, since the stands last forever.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The birdbath is beautiful, I love the crackle design. The birds don't flock to it as much as they do to my more shallow baths. However, this shouldn't stop you from adding it to your garden...just put a beautiful figurine in the middle for the birds to sit on and they will sip away rather than bathe!

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Bought the birdbath in purple crackle and enjoyed it for 2 years. Then I got a new gardener who somehow whacked it with the weedwacker and broke the bowl. So now the stand holds a plastic pot of flowers. Would love to be able to purchase a replacement bowl as the birds seemed to love it.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Birds were attracted immediately to this water bowl (I ordered cobalt blue) but it is not to their liking as a bath. It is too deep and I'm convinced the birds knew immediately it would be suicidal to take the plunge. No one seemed interested in just drinking. So it remains in the garden as an ornament and I do see insects dropping by for a drink. The product is very well made, and the twisted metal anchoring fork is deep so allows for the unit to be stable in even semi-soft ground. Too bad this can't be redesigned with more of a tray like glass bath so the little birds could splash to their heart's content! It is a gorgeous addition to the garden.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The stand screws together and is not sturdy. It will require welding in order to use it at it's full height.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
We moved into a home with a well-visited, long established plain concrete bird bath in the front yard. Two weeks after we moved in, the previous owners came and took our bird bath away! We found this in the online catalog and thought it would be a wonderful beginning piece for our new landscaping.[...]was so easy to set up even I could do it--and did! The lovely blue glass is a focal point of our front yard. It took a week or so before the old bath customers felt comfortable enough to dip their beaks and toes in the new establishment, but it has become as popular now as the old one had been. My only complaint is really just a wish: I wish it was slightly larger. Its height is perfect, but another couple of inches would accomodate more and larger guests.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The bath is simply to deep for small birds, who like to stand while bathing. I am looking for an attractive flat rock to put in the bath. Filling the bath half way will not solve the problem: birds standing on the rim to take a drink will not be able to reach the water. I would recommend this bath, but only with the provision about the flat rock.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
it is too deep and the birds won't light on it because it looks slick. we have not seen a single bird on it since we got it.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
It does look a little smaller than I envisioned
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The blue bowl is beautiful, but the stand "stripped" when we screwed it together so we now have to find a welding shop to fix it before we can use it...

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Birdbaths are typically difficult to keep clean. The removable glass bowl makes this birdbath healthier for wildlife as well as easier on the homeowner/gardener.

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Before I got the bird bath, I endure television morning news with my coffee; now I watch my feathered friends bathe. The show brightens the whole day.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I replaced a very expensive birdbath that was constantly giving me problems. This one is more attractive and the birds like it just as much.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Very attractive birdbath.

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
We selected this piece because the design is clean and the color makes it an accent piece in a very large planting area.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
the size is perfect for the smaller birds and the color adds sparkle to the garden

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I bought this 3 years ago. Absolutely loved it but then forgot to bring it inside when weather turned cooler. Glass bowl broke, my mistake. I agree with MG Karen from Savannah it would be nice to be able to purchase a replacement bowl. Haven't replaced it since I don't need another stand. Am thinking about going to a glass class and creating a replacement.

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The bowl is very attractive and looked great with the sun shining on it. I got many compliments. And then it cracked. All I have left is an empty stand. Not worth the [$].
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This is a lovely addition to the garden but, as others have noted, the glass bowl can crack in a sudden freeze. Would be great if you could offer replacement bowls for sale on their own, as the stands are pretty indestructible and last for years.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
My birds love to bath and drink out of this colorful container. I can see it out of my kitchen windows and watch many birds enjoying their water.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I have been looking for a birdbath but did not want to spend big bucks! this one is perfect, right price right size, and looks good
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
A friend bought the same item at roughly the same price 6-7 years ago. I bought it assuming it was the same size and it's about half the size.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
It dose what I bought it For.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Things not so great about the crackeled class bird bath, is that it can not be left out in freezing weather. Be sure to follow the instructions inclosed.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
As I favor cobalt blue accents in my garden, I appreciate that this item is available. [...] Making this available in red would be a bonus.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
nice looking in the garden
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This is a beautiful bird bath. It is like a jewel in your garden. But, it will break in a snap freeze. This was a replacement for one I left out in the cold. It would be nice to be able to purchase the bowl only.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I put this in my blue perrenial bed. It's beautiful when the sun shines through it. Also, it's really easy to instal. I havent seen that many birds flock to it but I read that birds don't like to drink from shiny surfaces. Who knows, it's too gorgeous for me to care. I do suggest before you put any rod iron or metal in your garden that you sray it first with a clear coat of rustoleum paint, even if the product says it's powder coated. It will help protect the color from fading sooner.

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The birdbath is eye-catching in the landscape, but didn't enjoy it long enough before the blue crackle glass bowl broke. [...] Disappointing to say the least.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I use this to attract birds to my perennial garden
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
For a present this was a perfect choice - no assembly, no batteries, extremely attractive, and immediately useful!

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Lovely to look at until the bottom separates from the rim of the bowl - one unexpected chilly night in November and it was no longer available as a bird bath - you should be selling replacement bowls at a reasonable rate for all the unhappy customers you now have when it comes to this bird bath. Certainly a disappointing purchase!

I love the look but it is NOT worth it! I have bought three of them [...]and none have lasted long. The most recent broke one day after I put it up. I live in San Diego so weather can't even be blamed.

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Had this since last summer. I thought it was beautiful and then going out to add water to it, saw that it had cracked and there was a huge hole in the middle. The temp had not gone below 25degrees!!! For the money i paid, i was very disappointed!

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This bird bath is beautiful but it breaks easily. It was never dropped and I live in florida where theres no freeze. I don't know what made it crack, but one day when I was putting water iin it I saw a big crack all across the middle of it. Could it be the heat??? When the company improves the glass to withstand outdoor weather better,I might consider buying another one.

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The cobalt blue bird bath matched my hummingbird feeder and gazing ball perfectly. Don't know what I will do now. Have no clue why it just cracked!
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The birdbath was a birthday gift for my mother. [...] At the time I placed the order this item had 30 good reviews so I was confident that it would stand up to my expectations.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I love my blue crackle-glass birdbath.
I have two of them and my daughter had
to get one also. My daughter-in-law saw mine and also fell in love with it,
so I ordered one for her birthday.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Just put it in yard recently. Not sure yet whether it attracts birds. I think it is important to have a bird feeder nearby also, to attract birds.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
We love this birdbath and our visiting neighborhood birds do too!

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This birdbath is too fragile for garden use. Ours broke in two simply by being in the sunlight.
The color was attractive and it was easy to install, but I had hoped to get more than one week's use before needing to replace it.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Use to attract birds to my yard.
Attractive and looks great in my yard.

Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This is not a durable product. It cracked and the bottom fell out on the second day in my backyard. It didn't fall and break. There just appeared a giant hole in the bottom and pieces all over the ground.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I gave the bird bath to my sister for her birthday. I wish I had a yard so that I could have one too.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I have a large backyard, and every year I add more statuary, bird baths/feeders, bee hives, etc. This unique, beautiful and PURPLE bird bath has added a special quality to my organic garden.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I love the color of these birdbaths. I have the purple one. However, because I like it so much, I have now had three as each one cracked during one season of use. I have not dropped them or left them out in the cold. Perhaps it is the heat? I'll probably keep buying anyway because I planned the colors of the planting scheme for my front garden around it and the birds, especially the robins, seem to adore it. My love of purple and the look of this bird bath keep me buying it despite an obvious flaw in the quality/design? of the glass bowl.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Very pleased with my amethyst crackle glass bird bath; the wrought iron base is even sturdier than I expected! The birds just have to find it....
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
My garden is an above ground garden with potted plants and a small pond. The birdbath ties all of the colors and textures together.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This is one of the better birdbaths I've had over the years. It's sturdy, easy to clean, and pretty to look at.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I purchased this piece mainly just to add some blue color to my garden not really expecting it to be used as a bird bath, however the birds seem to love it. The bowl is nice and lightweight so its easy to change the water, yet it is sturdy. I've gotten many compliments on it!
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I bought this for my mother, who absolutely loves it. She said the birds love to drink from it and sneek a bath every now and then. Said the color and style really stands out in her garden. I'm going to have to buy one for myself!
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I have the birdbath in my backyard and it looks just beautiful. It is also very easy to clean. I put some some pebbles in the bottom of it so the birds can get their grip...:)
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This is a very beautiful piece, but unfortunately, the glass bowl cracked very badly within a few days of putting it outside. Since I received this item at Christmastime, but didn't use it until springtime, I couldn't return it. The problem, I believe, was that not only did the birds use this birdbath, but other local animal residents like the raccoon and the outdoor cats also drank from the birdbath. The weight of the animals leaning against the bowl to drink probably was too much stress, and cracked the bowl. I've now turned the stand into a plant holder; an expensive one to say the least. If you only have birds and no other animals, this would probably work out fine.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
my bird bath is in my tallest garden and it blends in beautiful with my phlox and backeyed susans
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
[...]
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
One of the earlier blue birdbaths that I purchased must have had a flaw since the blue color peeled off after I left it outside for two years...strange... I thought the glass itself was blue. Guess it was an earlier version. I gave a purple one to my daughter as a gift and it was fine. I also bought a blue one that hung from a chain that is in a tree that the birds love. Needless to say I liked the blue birdbaths.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I love my new birdbath. This is the second one that I have bought. My first was destroyed by a falling tree - I bought the amethyst color - it looks great with my flowers.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I used the birdbath as a decorative focal point of a 'whimsical' area in the yard -- however, a hail storm (unusuaul) broke the glass.
may have order again as it does look good!
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The bowl smaller than it appears in the pictures. Good for use it in a filled in area, because the stem doesn't take up much space; you can itstall it between plants.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Useful and beautiful
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Added a spot of blue color to my front-yard flower garden. Eye catching and added a different level to the garden.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I've owned two of these, a blue one and an amethyst one. Both bowls in time cracked. Because this is crackled glass I didn't notice until it was not retaining the water. They are beautiful but, in my case, were not very durable. It was not dropped and did not freeze, since I live in Los Angeles. [...]
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The first one broke almost immediately after installation. The glass cracked. The second one lasted 60 days. Then it cracked. The third one cracked after 4 months. Even through the last one is severely cracked, it does not leak water.
Only 1 bird visited these bird baths in 6 months. For some reason, birds avoid these bird baths.
The glass is very attractive but the bird bath is not useful.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I'm trying to attract more birds to my front yard with plants and feeders. I'm hoping the birdbath
will help and I liked the way it looked.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I set it up in my front yard and have received many complements.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Birds do use it and it is pretty, requires daily maintenance which is okay as long as you are out there everyday watering plants anyway. I will install with a drip watering system next time... maybe. It turned out to be a lot smaller than I thought, but it looks okay in my small yard.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This product is sturdy and very easy to clean. Once installed it holds its upright level position.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
This has gotten so many compliments. Two people have already bought their own.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
its very attractive and can be used anywhere you have dirt! i have mine in a huge planter on my deck and the height adds a nice visual dimension.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I HAVE BOTH COLORS IN YARD, ONE IN FRONT AND ONE IN BACK YARD. -NICE ADDITION TO THE YARD.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I love the beautiful shade of blue crackled glass and it looks great with my mix of landscaping. The birds don't seem to mind it either, one bit!
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
It's easy to maintain and is an unobtrusive addition to the backyard within the landscape area for the wild birds.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
Love it the most when the sun shines through the blue glass. The birds love it and it is easy to take care of. I replace the glass bowl with a plastic one when the weather starts to freeze.
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
I get lots of compliments on the baths, easy to clean, and it's fun to watch the birds drink from it
Comments about Crackle-Glass Birdbath:
The only problem I have had with the product. Is we decided to add on to our house, and because of that I have had to put the glass bowl up, because construction workers are not very protective of YOUR property.
My birds will have to wait a few more months to really get use to their new bath.
