This feeder is pretty & does attract the birds but we have yet to see a cardial on it. We do see Squirrels on it - though they struggle a great deal to get anything out. We also bought one for a friend & she sees them on it too. Now that I know it will not keep the squirrels off I wish I'd not paid so much money for it. In stead I'd have bought extra Globe Cage Feeders.

The feeder will only take the black oil sunflower seed as the striped are too big for the birds/squirrels/raccoons to pull through the mesh!!
