Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I like the design of the statue, but it easily tips over. Squirrels and wind are the main culprits. The piece would be great if it came with a means to keep it from tipping over.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
"Santa" gave this to my daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it and is planning a special place for it when she and her husband start landscaping their home.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
While very nice looking, I was disappointed to find after it sat outside a few months, that the finish began flaking off. It is not weather resistant. I gave it as a gift and was embarrassed when I saw how it looked. For the price, you would think they could have used a weatherproof finish on it. They will have to paint it to get it to look nice again.

Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
The statue is a wonderful addition to our flower bed and attracts many birds. Friends want to know where we purchased it. We had a hurt baby cardinal that we put in his hands to hold it, and the next day the bird managed to fly out on its own power.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
We love 'Frank'. We plan to place him at the inside corner of two brick walls, in our pet cemetery. I'd hate for the wind to send him crashing into the wall. I do agree with many of the previous reviews that he needs to be weighted to remain upright. [...] My handyman hasn't made the necessary alterations yet so 'Frank' hasn't made it outside, so I can't comment on how he's going to hold up.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
The picture does not due this statue justice. I can't wait to get it in the garden with the flower next spring.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
St.Francis statue fits perfectly in a relative's flower bed. It was purchased as a gift. May order another one for another gift. Very pleased with the purchase.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
The statue was a gift for my cousin who is an animal lover, so it was very appropriate. She also is an avid gardener. It is light enough for her to move around if she wants to, but heavy enough to stay in place. She was delighted with it.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I just wish it weighed more any kind of high winds it will fall over but it is very nice

Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Needed a statue of St Francis for my pet cemetary. Couldn't think of a better statue. Looks great with flowers all around. Nice area in the back yard to look at.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
We will use this in our back yard garden. It is attractive but we felt that it was too light and would blow over and break. We drilled a hole in the bottom and filled the statue with some quick drying concrete to give it some weight.

Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I am using this statue in a planting area. The size is perfect. It has a wonderful patina to it. Since it is hollow and a bit light, we drilled an opening in the bottom and filled it partially with sand so it won't blow over. That did the trick and it looks great.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
the statue is in my serenity garden right outside the dining room window. I love st Francis and his love of nature and animals, and as I see the statue often, it makes me happy and appreciative of the birds it attracts
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Gorgeous birdfeeder. I have received many compliments on this statue. Would like it to be heavier for more stability and have a larger bowl for holding seeds. However it is a unique feeder and a beautiful representation of St Francis.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I have been looking for a nice St Francis for a while now. This one really fits the bill. He looks like carved wood with a small cup for birdseed. He's not gaudy or tacky, he actually looks holy! The only concern I had which I quickly addressed is that he is tall and slender and I was concerned he might blow over as he is really not heavy at all (he just looks incredibly solid).
I had my husband drill a hole into the bottom so I could insert a pole to stabilize him in my garden and he looks great!
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Everything we have purchased from Gardners has been more than acceptable. We have a buttercup squash vine growing with several good size squash on it. The vine cascades down from our deck into the lawn. It is just beautiful.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
In order to keep St. Francis upright, I had to drill a hole in the bottom, drive a stake in the ground, and place St. Francis over the stake. It now stays upright even in strong winds.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
This was a gift from a friend. I was delighted until I put it in my flower garden. The sun or weather turned the statue a horrible bright green.
Also it keeps falling over. It needs to be weighted or a stake inserted into the base! What a disappointment!
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I love the look of this statue, far more attractive than any other St. Francis I have seen, however, in less than one year poor St. Francis is revealing the resin underneath the carved wood looking paint. Thankfully, a rep at Gardener's supply is sending me a replacement and she suggested coating it with polyurethane to give it another layer of protection.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Because it is light weight, my elderly mother was able to manage it on her own, place the statue where she could enjoy it the most.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I absolutely loved pulling this dear guy out of his packaging. The dimensions were listed accurately and he is the focal point of a small shade garden in the corner of our backyard. He brings instant serenity on all who gaze upon him.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Everyone who saw it can not believe it was not real stone.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I planted some flowers around the statue. It is still early and the flowers aren't blooming as of yet, but when they do it will be beautiful.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
This is a very beautiful and elegant statue. I use it in a garden where 2 of my pets are buried. It makes me feel like God is watching over them.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
This piece completes the area where our beloved pets are resting. We had to add some weight to the base to keep it upright. Other than that, we're very pleased with the purchase.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Very realistic of carved wood, but it needs a base added because it won't stand up on its own.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
St. Francis has a special place in my Rock Garden. I ordered him in winter and have not displayed him yet. I plan on making a secure base for it in the Garden. With the arrival of spring and the flowers it will surely bring on more birds to visit.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I set the birdfeeder in my garden, and when I returned it had fallen over and broken.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Attractive statue, very rustic looking and almost looks like it's really carved wood. Only problem is it tips over in the wind. Haven't checked to see if it includes anything to anchor it, but a heavier bottom would be helpfpul
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I saw this statue in a garden recently and was thrilled to find one on your website! As an avid gardener and bird watcher, I love having objects among my plants. The spiritual nature of this is statue is very meaningful to me and I can hardly wait for spring to put it out. Wonderful quality--
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
this statue can not stand up, what do you recommend?
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I own a camp on a lake, and plan to get one for the yard there.

Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I purchased this for a great friend and am so pleased that I believe I will get one for myself and put it in the back yard.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I have this statue in my front garden. When a friend from another state visited me she commented on how beautiful he is. I sent her one for a house warming gift. She moved in to her new house this week. Never use it as bird feeder, only as a statue. I only wish it was about 6 inches taller.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
We have our St. Francis in our backyard garden.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I found this to be a wonderful, meaningful item. I've given three of these as gifts and none are used as birdfeeders. Two are in homes and one in an office. One gentlemen had tears in his eyes when presented with it as it's history ment a lot to him.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
We bought this as a 2008 Christmas gift, We are having a hard time parting with it.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I wanted to use next to my fountain on my deck, but in kept falling over. Finally dug hole to secure in my yard. Wasn't easy. I am 68 and handicapped.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Packing was terrible, broke with the first wind, called and got a replacement, this time we weighted the bottom and all was good!! Should have a heavier bottom. I would purchase this again.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I live in Hawaii and have a really beautiful garden. Lots of plants with large tropical leaves and flowering vines everywhere. St Francis is tucked in a central spot and I've surrounded him with three little cement animals
(a Squirrel, hedgehog and rabbit) that I've had for years. He looks wonderful. Everyone who has seen him loves him. I'm thinking of getting one for my son and daughter-in-law for Christmas!
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
it's going to be one of our gardens as a decoration, not sure if with the birdhouses or
with the new bush in the back garden.
The face looks like the patron St Francis,as seen in pictures.
It could be a little more level at the bottom for set up and security. I'm afraid to place it in a windy spot
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
The size is perfect for where I wanted to put it and I love the simplicity and rustic design.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Although I have not used the small bowl for bird seed I think it is great that it has drainage if you choose to use it for that. I really just wanted it for an accent piece and it does very well at that.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
My two best friends bought this for me as a retirement present this June. I was thrilled and got it out in my large garden immediately. As others have said, it blew over--often; so I propped it up against the garden fence. After two or three Michigan rains water did not leave the dish through the drain hole and the finish began to peel in the dish. After two months in the garden the finish is peeling in many places on it. I like it too much to put it away. I think I might wait until the finish is worn completely (about october at this rate), wire brush it, and find some truely weather resistant finish to put on it.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I purchased this item for my friend for Christmas. When I received it, I was so impressed that I purchased one for myself (I put a bird's nest in the bowl and have it in my living room
My friend was thrilled with her's She is an animal and nature lover She and her husband live on 380 acres, but have her statue (who she lovingly calls "Frank") near their home so they can see it always
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:

Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Looks good
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I bought this as a gift for my Mother, she was as pleased as I was looks wonderful in her back yard garden, it will be there for years to enjoy.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
This looked like my brother. We love the outdoors and are "earth friendly". We like to feed the birds and make our homes a sanctuary. It's nice to have lovely, interesting items like you have.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I originally purchased this statue to mark the grave of our beloved cat of 16 years--recently buried in the backyard. I thought I would wait until spring to put it out and I set it on the fireplace hearth to await outdoor weather. However, it looks so "right" standing there on one side of the hearth--kind of adds an ethereal touch to the entire room and now I can't bear to move it from it's spot! I guess I'll have
to search for another appropriate "grave" statue.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I had a wooden St. Francis in my garden that lasted only a few years. I ordered this one not quite knowing what it would be like. I am very happy with it - it is attractive, looks much like wood, but is completely weather resistant. I expect it to be in my garden for many years!
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Would be better with a pole for a base so it does not blow over. Glued mine to a rock and it looks great and works well.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Fit right into my "for the birds" yard!
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I gave this item as a gift and my friend loved it. It turned out this was his favorite likeness of his this Saint. [...]

Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
I bought one for my sister's deck. It is so attractive I had to buy another for my brother's garden! The neighbors love it!
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Everyone just loves it. I have had a lot of comments , all positive. Many want to know where it came from.Only one small problem: one of the two is losing its' finish in small spots. I still plan to buy one for myself, and others as gifts in future.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
looks great surrounded by hostas.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Have this under the willow tree in amongst the hosta's. Looks classy but is very lightweight. Finally put a stake in the ground and sat him on and he has stayed in place ever since.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
A bit more lightweight than I expected - but then again, it did say it was not solid wood. Still attractive.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Because this was exactly as described, just a little lightweight, I propped it up in front of a small tree in my garden to add the support necessary.
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
very simple, attractive garden statue was given as a gift and much appreciated
Comments about St. Francis Birdfeeder:
Gives a spirtualilty to the yard and garden.
The dish after use, lost the color, hower, the statue, it self is still lovely.
