The first time I put this out, we were having a beautiful snowfall. I was impressed with the product as soon as I opened it -- it smelled and looked like I should put it on the cocktail table. The nuthatches were the first to discover it, and the rest came later, creating a real Winter Wonderland in the back woods. Actually, the woodpeckers seems to like suet better, but their friends are glad we stock this.

The birds love this stuff! I buy all kinds of birdseed and bird food mixes. This is one of the most popular among a wide variety of birds. Only drawback is you have to keep re-filling your feeder. But seeing three different species of woodpeckers, plus chickadees, titmice, etc. eating it in just one day makes it well worth it.

Knew I had several Woodpeckers, but after using this food I found I had many more than I originally thought. I also saw different species of Woodpeckers, and several other types of birds that were attracted to it. There is no waste with this feed, so you don't have a mess on the ground from it.

I used to be able to find this in my area, but it was discontinued, so I was thrilled when I saw it on the Gardeners Supply website. We use it in a tree with a nut feeder outside our kitchen door. We've watched the woodpeckers come from the woods to hang on the feeder. We had no idea there were so many different types in our neighborhood. I've seen other woodpecker mixes in the stores and they don't compare to this mix. There's no junk, no waste in this. The woodpeckers rate this two talons up!
