    Feeding all the different birds in our yard has been a challenge because of squirrels and using only one type of feeder. I purchased the globe, platform, and hopper feeders along with the stake and baffle (feeding station accessories) for the birds. It has worked beautifully. Both small and large birds have their fill without having to share with the squirrels.

    It's been wonderful for the bigger birds - Bluejays seem to do "conference " feedings. Mr.&Mrs. Cardinal visit every morning and evening and often during the day. Make sure you keep away from trees and use a baffle - it frustrates the squirrels and chipmunks!

    After my wood platform feeder (from another store) became worn and finally broke, I tried a cylindrical feeder but found that the doves and blue jays could not perch and feed. I purchased the platform feeder from Gardener's Supply and I am extremely impressed with its large size, durability and the fact that all birds of all sizes can participate in feeding. The openings in the wire bottom are large enough for moisture to pass, but small enough to hold small seed. Excellent product!
