    Comments about Vine Leaf Birdfeeder:

If I can think of something that won't be harmed by getting wet, I can still do something with this feeder. Otherwise, it's a total loss. The seed gets wet, cakes so the birds can't get to it, and the seed rots. WORST FEEDER EVER.

This bird feeder was even more attractive than the picture in catalog. All you do is fill it and hang it! Simple and it looks so good hanging in my back yard - hoping to attract more finches there.

    Not worth the sale price
By MomVerified Purchaser from Mass on 7/31/2009
    Pros:
    Attractive, Easy To Set Up
    Cons:
    Flimsy, Not Squirrel Proof, Unstable

    Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Comments about Vine Leaf Birdfeeder:

I am new to birdfeeding so I wanted to find an inexpensive birdfeeder before committing. This birdfeeder is horrible. Once it rained, the food became soggy and hard because the drainage holes barely work. The seed cannot flow thru the holes because the holes are too small. And when I went to refill the feeder, there were maggots because of the hard birdseed that accumulated on the bottom. I bought this on sale and still want to return it.

Food only exits the feeder at the bottom. Dampness makes the food cake causing the food to clog the two feeding holes.

The bird feeder is a beautiful copper finish and is very sturdy. The seed tube is plastic and I would have liked glass instead, since the Florida sun is very hard on plastic.

    Aesthitically Pleasing
By Alaska BirderVerified Purchaser from Petersburg AK on 3/27/2009
    Pros:
Birds seem to appreciate, Easy to use
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Comments about Vine Leaf Birdfeeder:

I was able to set up the feeder the day I got it in the mail. It has a better filling system than others have. I have found that the ones where the lid needs screwed on or held down with a screw tend to fail more often than those with a lid that just sits atop the feeder. Also the design is pleasing to the eye. Best of all the birds seem to appreciate it.

By Ed MackVerified Purchaser from Mesa, Arizona on 1/13/2009
    Pros:
    Durable, Good Value
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Comments about Vine Leaf Birdfeeder:

This Bird Feeder is strong and even makes the larger birds work hard to get the seed. No plastic is what sold me on it because in Arizona the high heat will break down any plastic after a short time.
