First item I have used that keeps the squirrels out of the bird food.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Love to watch the birds try to get the suet out of the bottom of feeder!
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
really attractive, easy to fill, work great
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Bought these because someone said although they weren't so great for birds, they're good for deer. And we're the weird kind who like to see the deer in our yard (probably because it's all woods with little chance to do much vegetable gardening).
Anyway, they seem to be working -- something is eating our wilted celery! And they were certainly the right price.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
I haven't had a chance to use these yet, but I'm sure they will work out just fine. This is a simple and intelligent design. No feeders are squirrel proof unless you use a squirrel baffle...

Just ordered another set for the kitchen. have garlic in one, shallots in another and onions in the third. Outside I place overripe fruit and veggie and fruit peelings for the squirels.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Besides using these spiral feeders for suet and
fruit, I am going to modify one to use this summer
as a hummingbird or butterfly feeder.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
it's been pouring rain, so they have not yet been installed, the key will be how they weather over time, but they do look cute to start...
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
I had put my suet in toilet paper tubes and placed in freezer. When the spirals arrived, I wanted to try them. Easy to remove cardboard tube from food and it fit just right. I'm sure the birds would have enjoyed the feast but those pesky squirrels beat them to the new treat!!
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
I loved the idea and the design, but have found no way to raccoon proof them. I don't care if squirrels enjoy them, but am tired of seeing them carted away and strung out as far as the wire can go.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Useful for outdoor feeding of birds. I liked the shape of it. The only thing I would change is a little bigger.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
I put fruit in two and bread in the other. Both took a long time to attract wildlife but the bread went first. I especially like that I can throw them in the dishwasher and that they are made of metal. I would not have bought them if it was plastic.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
great way to use past its prime fruit
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Plan to use for fruit for birds and butterflies as well as suet in winter.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
I Use with homade suet: Very simple, peanut butter, honey flour oats nuts raisins and seeds!
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
I bought these specifically for squirrels - your CON is my PRO! I've quartered apples and filled, then watched the antics. There will be no more wasted slightly-past-prime apples. I won't be using this feeder for suet balls since I have plenty of suet feeders. This one's for fruit and veggies, anything that we find is soon emptied. Wish I had ordered them sooner.

I put a variety of greens in them for my chickens to peck at. They love them! As they peck at the greens, the spirals spring up and down making it more interesting for the hens. And they're very attractive in the chicken run.

Just fill and hang!
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
It is pretty easy for squirrels to remove suet balls but it holds ears of corn well.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
I use these for Squirrels and anything that eat from them~ I put Corn, sometimes Fruit, sometimes Suet...even the Deer like these on occasion.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
great to hang in a winter lilac - the squirrels keep away and the birds really enjoy
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
My mother was sent these Suet Spirals and got them up in her trees immediately. Pleased with the ease of set up and durability. Just waiting and waiting to attract the "right" group of birds!
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
I bought a set of 3 around Christmas time, gave two away and kept one for myself. I put fruit in it. The only drawback is that it is not squirrel proof and could be dragged away easily by an animal. I will only put fruit in it just for that reason (less tempting for critters!) It adds a very fun color to the yard.

Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
We're having an especially cold winter here and the spirals work great for feeding suet and fruit! Not only do I think it's great, so do the birds!
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
The birds really enjoy the suet balls in this. Looking forward to spring when I can put oranges in it.
You need to put something over the top to keep the birds from getting stuck inside. My husband made tops from some welded wire for mine and the ones we gave for gifts.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Versatile, can use for slices of orange, suet, corn cobs, peanutbutter cones, etc. Keeps bird food inside spiral but allows small and larger birds full access. Nice attractive colors.

I try to keep the wild birds happy and returning all year! These are a perfect way to 'recycle" my older/bruised fruit and keep them from my fruit trees.

Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
I had been using this feeder for suet. The birds enjoyed it tremendously. But i noticed that the birds (starlings) would go after the suet from the hole in the top (inside the spiral). I thought it was rather curious and didn't think anything of it until a starling got stuck!... it tried to turn around after diving deep for the bit if suet left in the bottom and got its head stuck in the spiral. My husband pulled the spiral from both ends and the starling was finally released. I wont use this feeder again until i place some screen mesh on the top so that the birds can't go inside the spiral.

These suet holders are great and provide a variety of ways to use. They can have suet, fruit, or nuts in them. Basically, whatever you want to attract. It is heavey painted metal so are not flimsly and will last a long time. They look neat in your flower garden also. The birds already love them.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Orioles love it!
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Very useful! It's keeping the fruit in the basket well and I can put the "whole" orange in it.

Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Myself and the birds (and squirrels) love these holders and he suet balls! The birds took at least a week or more to "discover" the suet but once they did and discovered how to hang on the holders, they are constantly feeding from it. I've purchased another large order of the suet balls because they wiped out the first order immediately! I too suggest 3 balls per hanger - for the larger and top feeding birds. BUT... ONE OF THE NEGATIVES I DO WANT PEOPLE TO BE AWARE OF: the larger birds feed from the top of the feeder and lean WAY down into the feeder when the suet gets low. The other day I found a bird trapped inside the middle part of the feeder (I'm assuming it was leaning in from top and fell inside)! Poor thing was screaming and trying to get out but just got wedged harder inside. I gently took the feeder off of a hanger I had it on, placed it close to the ground, and gently pulled the 2 ends of the feeder apart to spread the "rings". The bird squirmed and finally flew free. If I had not noticed the bird stuck in the feeder, I am afraid the poor bird would either have been seriously injured, lost its life, or been attacked by other animals. I am considering putting some kind of screening over the top when the suet gets low just to avoid this problem.

Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
They are hanging in my backyard waiting for the butterflies and birds to use. I have put apples in them and they still haven't used them. It just may be too soon.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Just the right size for a lump of suet. Handy hangers make this product a joy to use - easy to fill, easy to hang and the birds love it too.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
These are attractive and very different than the "usual" square suet holders. There are 3 spirals to each order. I purchased 2 orders so had 6 various pastel colored spirals to fill. The drawback to this was - I should have purchase more of the suet balls so I could put 3 in each spiral. I bought 2 orders of the suet balls (which meant 20 balls) but discovered the top feeding birds couldn't reach the lower balls. I discovered it is better to place 3 balls in each spiral (primarily for the top feeding birds). Love the look and the versatility of the product.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
These suet spirals were easy to fill and easy to hang. The birds are enjoying their treat!
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
I like the ease of use, easy to fill and hang.
Has to be hung where squirrels can't get at it, but that is not a problem.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Suet balls are perfect for this feeder. It is best for clinging, small birds.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
love to put bananas into the cone - the birds like it too!
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Holds small fruits as well as the larger ones.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
This item is great for the smaller birds, and it hangs up much easier than the square cages used for suet blocks.

Using for suet this winter.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
The idea seems good but, haven't seen any birds use it yet but, it is still winter here.

My mother loved them
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
I like these, and, they can be filled with fruit and vegetables too. At first I thought the removable handle was flimsy, but, now realize it works out better to be able to remove it..or stick it into the fruit to help hold it.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Great idea. Happy to have something that I can place items other than seed in for the birds in my neighborhood
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
These feeders work quite well on shepherd hooks or from a tree branch. The woodpeckers seem to really enjoy them. Also I have not seen any starlings feeding from these like they do from a usual block suet feeder. I have not had a chance to try fruit yet, but I may try oranges in the spring for the Oreoles.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Easy to use and clean, and the birds (especially woodpeckers right now) love them. The suet balls fit in them nicely.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
These are versatile...can hold suet balls, fruit, nesting material..etc. They are easy to clean and look really cool out in the garden...especially against the winter backdrop.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
I have 12 chickens and I love to give them treats. These spirals are perfect. I have them hanging so my hens can reach them. I fill them with their favorite treats and they love it. It also gives them something to work on and keep them busy. I have already recommended them to my sister who also has chickens.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
Purchased this with the round suet balls for a Christmas gift. Very easy to set up and hold suet or sliced fruit for the birds.

These spirals and perfect to fill with sliced fruit, beef fat, dried corn cobs, etc. I like the ease of use and how well they clean up.
Comments about Suet Spirals, Set of 3:
This product was very easy to set up. It is fun watching the birds, especially woodpeckers, on this feeder. I hope I can attract some orioles this spring and summer by filling the spiral feeder with fruit.
