Sleek and sophisticated, this platform feeder is also nearly indestructible. Made from stainless steel, it has a 10" diameter tray that holds 3 cups of seed. Conical roof keeps seed dry. Easy to clean, too — important for keeping birds healthy.

Keeps the squirrels out!

A feeder is useless if it is not squirrel proof. This feeder was empty very soon because the squirrels found it an easy way to get a meal.

I received the feeder for a Christmas gift, and was so excited finally to have a squirrel-proof feeder. It took exactly two days for the squirrels to master the art of climbing the pole, and now it is useless to even try to feed birds from the feeder. It is flimsy and unstable.I am so disappointed, and felt that the feeder was overpriced and wrongly advertised. It is attractive, but that is the only plus.

Easy to set up, but I had to provide support at the base to keep it stable (ran the post through holes in a brick). Also, the height of the cover is a deterrent to birds. The feeder stayed full of sunflower seeds for a week w/ the cover (top) on. When I removed the top, I saw more bird action and the seeds were gone in 2 days.

I love this bird feeder. Every day I have cardinals and smaller birds having brunch at it. The blue jays may be a little big for it - it is too soon to know. Squirrels are in my yard but have not gotten into it yet, which I would not mind too much. I wish it were still for sale and that I could buy another one. The birds seem to love it.

I really like the look and I think the design is perfect for what I want. BUT, there is no stake to secure it in the ground, and, it seems quite "wobbly".

This feeder was a gift to my sister-in-law. She has a hard time maintaining the standard wooden feeders in our Midwest climate. She loves the convenience of filling the feeder from her deck. So far the deer have not figured out how to climb the stairs to reach this feeder. It would be interesting to observe their reaction to the shiny metal, however.

I was concerned about the height but decided to try it and put in between some rose bushes to deter the squirrels. They still managed to get in just fine. What I do like is that now that I put safflower seeds in it, I am attracting the cardinals I wanted to feed but that were too big for my other squirrel proof feeders and squirrels are leaving it alone. I have many small birds visiting as well. While squirrels can't chew this feeder, they can easily scale it so as long as undesirable seeds are selected, you could keep out the squirrels. It is short, but works fine.

Had to substitute a nut on top to hold on roof as the finial tread was not long enough to grab.
