Comments about Birdhouse Village:

I just put these up so not sure how they will hold up. But they look good. I like the colors. I'm using the poles from previously purchased houses that didn't make it. Would be nice for others if the poles were available to purchase if needed. (A chickadee moved right in the others that didn't last, so i have high hopes for these. They appear more durable. And they have clean-outs! Very good design.)

Comments about Birdhouse Village:

Colors are accurately depicted--the birdhouses are as cheeful and festive as they looked in the catalogue and make us smile every time we walk out into the yard. We got a great post with 3 varied-height poles at our local bird store and it is such a fun addition to the yard. The only thing I'd suggest is to have them treated with clear shellac to hold up better in weather elements.

Comments about Birdhouse Village:

They bird houses are beautiful. I plan to use them for decoration in the front of our home. I want to paint them with marine polyurethane first and then look forward to hanging them in the corner of our home. I hope birds will use them, but if they don't, these will be a lovely decorative touch to our front yard.

Nice Design Element for Shady Spot
By MadraVerified Purchaser from Boston on 5/16/2011
Pros:
Attractive

Comments about Birdhouse Village:

Adds a little colour to a difficult spot in the garden. The birdhouses are well made but I wish there were a better system provided to hang them. There is a metal keyhole in the back so they can be hung by a nail, but that requires a flat surface which I don't have.

Comments about Birdhouse Village:

Love the design and color-I intend it mainly as a decoration. Have the earlier model houses on poles -bring those in for the winter and they have lasted perfect for 3 years. The poles were flimsy and failed in the first year-these will be mounted directly on to the tree. Have attracted wrens.

Comments about Birdhouse Village:

Delighted with product. Birdhouses are a beautiful and colorful addition to my yard. Even my neighbors have commented how great looking they are. Haven't had nesting birds yet but expect that shortly. Whether or not, they still look great. One improvement would be to add a metal ring around openings to insure that larger birds and other pests don't try to enlarge opening.

By GrandmumVerified Purchaser from Morton, PA on 3/8/2011

Attractive, Easy To Setup, Looks cute in holly tree
Cons:
Not for year-round use
Best Uses:
Fall, Spring, Summer
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Birdhouse Village:

The three houses look so cute together in the tree branches. Colorful and fun. Not entirely sure they would hold up as well as some other models if I left them out all winter, though. The models I left up this past winter held up really well and since it was a cold snowy winter, were occupied by sparrows the whole season. I'd like to leave these up too but will have to reserve judgement until I see how much use they get this summer.

Look great and well made. Since I'm in Minnesota, will have to wait a few months to hang outside, thus durability and how well it attracts wrens is still to be determined.

I like the bright colors and the easy clean out feature. I will place the houses on top of the posts rather than from the sides so I will have to attach them to a base. Not a big deal, though.

Comments about Birdhouse Village:

I purchased these for my new registered wildlife garden. My plan is to mount them on posts instead of the trees so I can locate them in the gardens. They are such cheerful colors that I came back and bought them for my grown children for Christmas. They now have components for their own registered wildlife backyard.

Seems more decorative than functional. We wanted a bright set to perk up our porch. These are perfect. I would hesitate to expose them to year-round weather.
