(based on 13 ratings)
Located in: Yard & Landscaping, Backyard Birding, Birdhouses

Bringing to mind an oversized robin's egg, this turquoise birdhouse has a simple and pleasing shape and color. Hang it in a tree and the 1-1/4" entrance opening will attract nuthatches, titmice, wrens, downy woodpeckers and chickadees.

  • A welcome spot for nesting birds
  • Many bird species eat insect pests
  • Attractive, eye-catching design

Comments about Robin's Egg Birdhouse:

Not sure how practical this will be in terms of cleaning, but it is a beautiful color and I think it will look nice in the garden. I have many more practical bird houses. Perhaps the birds will ignore this one and it will just be decorative, which is ok with me.

Comments about Robin's Egg Birdhouse:

This was a great bargain. It is a beautiful deep robin's egg blue glaze. There are drainage holes, but I think it will be hard to clean at the end of the season (the only downside). Overall, I am thrilled with this bird house. What an eye-catcher for the garden!

Comments about Robin's Egg Birdhouse:

The gorgeous turquoise color is eye-catching, and my mother is so pleased with her new birdhouse! We don't know yet if any small birds will want to build their nest in it. And we don't know if it will stand up to winter weather. It was easy to hang up.

Attractive
Cons:
Flimsy
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Robin's Egg Birdhouse:

the idea is great however the hanging devise is too flimsy. The hole is too big for types of birds described, The hole turned out to be almost 1 and 3/4 which is the perfect fit for fat sparrows and not little wrens!
