    Comments about Islandscape Pond Planters:

I traded this item to a friend because it turned out to be larger than what I could use in my pond. I haven't seen what this island looks like yet in my friend's pond; but, I can say that the island seemed to be very sturdy and could probably look quite natural when planted.

I did not care for this product. I don't know if my pond was too small or what, but when it rained the island would sink more and it took forever for the roots to go through.

    Comments about Islandscape Pond Planters:

Since it's late in the season I didn't fill all the holes with plants. The holes are so small that I will wait until next spring and get some 1" starter plants. I tried to make the holes bigger, but it was hard to do. I wish I had gotten the bigger one, but it was too pricey even on sale.

    Comments about Islandscape Pond Planters:

Really had high hopes for this product, it looked lovely in the catalog. My 1st suprise was that it didnt come with plants. OK well no big deal I bought some plants. I bought a mini, but it still barely fits in my pond. It sits too high in the water to look natural and even though I have filled all the holes with plants it still has a lot of black/material showing. Also the dirt included has a hard time staying on the surface area. Would be better if you could sell it with the turf covering. I am trying ground cover to see if that will spread, its still early in the season, hopefully it will grow to cover the entire island. Also, algea has not disappeared even with all the new plant life.

    Comments about Islandscape Pond Planters:

Love the look and effect in the pond - and the fish love it too! A better description of the plant holes and how much of the island could be cut away for planting larger plants might have been helpful for planning purposes. A night visitor (probably a raccoon) tried to "visit" the island and flipped it over!
