Comments about Fairydust Balls, Set of 3:

I received these as a gift from my sister and thought they'd look cool hanging from some trees around the pool landscape. Unfortunately, the glow is so low I couldn't even see them glowing at all. The only way I could see the glow was to "charge them up" and take them to a dark room. Not very practical.

Also, while they were hanging in the trees, a couple of them cracked from being banged around by the Texas wind.

I'm going to see if I can return them for some credit.

Comments about Fairydust Balls, Set of 3:

These Fairy Dust Balls are a very unusual and eye catching addition to my front garden. The glass is very thick so they are surprisingly sturdy. The different sizes make it easy to create an interesting arrangement. The only disappointment is that the "glow" they are supposed to emit is pretty weak, even when exposed to the recommended hours of full sun. (I like them anyway)

I created a miniture garden patterend from ones seen in Salice Terme, Italy, around the base of my white-bark birch tree. Wacky weather killed the tree this past spring. Not wanting to remove the white tree, I decorated it with the fairydust globes. It's interesting during the day, and in the evening it is a magical garden with softly glowing orbs floating overhead.

For a bit of Fairy Dust whimsy in your garden these are beautiful and durable. Use as accents among other plantings, or as I did, hung from a Shepherd's hook with fishing line to invisibly float. They mark the path at night for the fairies or their friends! Very fun! Everyone is quite enchanted by them Use the Fairy Dust Spirals as an accompaniment. If you don't have fairies before you get these, they will come to your garden because of them; and stay to help your blossoms and shrubs grow. Also can be used indoors in a glass bowl on coffee table or vase.

Comments about Fairydust Balls, Set of 3:

I bought these as a Christmas gift for a gardener friend. It was disappointing because the globes didn't glow/phosphoresce as they were advertised to do... My friend hung them in a desert tree (minimal leaf shade) so they were in full sun here in Phoenix AZ... No glow whatsoever...

The fairydust balls are cute to look at. I have them tied with bright red ribbons and hanging in one area. They are shown in the photo glowing, but I did not get ANY glow. Was disappointed in that.

Gardener's Supply Company Response: Thanks for your comments Kathy. I'm sorry to learn that your Fairy Dust Balls did not glow. We've heard this comment from some customers and we've written an article on our site that might help you some. You may want to check that out. I do know from personal experience that they will glow. That said, please don't hesitate to return them if you're not satisfied.

Comments about Fairydust Balls, Set of 3:

I was very excited at the thought of sitting on my deck at night watching these balls glow. They never did. I finally figured out that because my deck is on the south/east side of the house and the direct sun never hits it after one PM they were finished glowing and never noticed at night because the glow only lasts a few hours. I am really disappointed! Guess they'lll make a good gift if I can think of someone with the right exposure.

These glowing orbs bring a tough of magic to the garden or even inside the home if they are hung in a sunny window. I have not found this product available at any other retailer for this price. I usually buy several sets and divide them into individual gifts....and can never resist keeping "one more for myself". Even my grangchildren enjoy watching them glow in the evening.

Comments about Fairydust Balls, Set of 3:

The Fairydust Balls are nicely hand blown and start to glow as the sun sets. By the time it is actually dark, however, it's already out of glow. If you really want to use them as a party decoration, it would be better to keep them under a spot light until just before your guests arrive and then hang them.
