Located in: Yard & Landscaping, Solar Lights, Spotlights

Our Superbright Solar Spotlights are not only brighter than any other solar lights on the market, they also outshine many low-voltage lights. Yet high light output is just part of the story. These lights are superior in every way to the one-season lights you see elsewhere. The anodized aluminum housing is seamless and weather-tight, and won’t crack like plastic casing. The circuitry is soldered by hand, and every unit is tested before it leaves the factory. We’ve also fitted them with new high-capacity batteries that keep them shining even after several cloudy days.

  • 16 LEDs produce 18 times more light than competing models
  • The high-gain solar panel powers the light for 12 hours or more
  • Mount on a wall, deck or in the ground (stake included)
  • Comes on automatically at dusk
  • Most durable, weatherproof solar spotlight on the market
  • Powerful and versatile enough to use as a floodlight
  • Goes just about anywhere — no electrical knowledge necessary

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

This is the third solar light I have tried and finally , I have found one that works. I went cheep the first time and bought a plastic one that came in pairs. They were trash. Then I went more expensive, and bought a metal one that leaked. It worked for a few months. So I went more expensive and found you get what you pay for. I'm lighting an atomic clock on my patio and this light lights the entire patio, more like a flood than a spot and I can read the clock when in the hot tub 15 feet away and it does not seem to attract bugs.

This spotlight is a great illumination, much brighter than regular solar lights. One can actually see well with it! But be super careful when putting it together. It is quite easy to cut the electrical wire when turning the head to put onto the stake.

Poor product, inadequate light
By MartyVerified Purchaser from Montauk, NY on 9/8/2010
Cons:
Low Wattage, Poor Area Of Illumination
Describe Yourself:
Casual Do-It-Yourselfer
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

I aimed the light at a flag 15-20 feet away. Barely illuminates it on a full charge. This is a not-ready-for-prime-time product, and I recommend deletion from the catalog. I have not returned it because I am lazy, discarded the packaging, and, sigh, I guess some weak light on Old Glory is better than none at all.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

Great illumination coverage.Light still going strong in the morning before sun comes up. I installed the light and solar panel on a 3.5" X 3.5" vinyl fence post cap. It keeps the light in direct sunlight and safe from animals chewing on wires. Also being elevated on fence post I will not have an issue with the snow covering light this winter.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

This was my last attempt to be green in the outdoor lighting category. My family laughed and mocked me because I'd already gone down this path before ... on three separate occasions.

I'm SO glad I tried these lights! They're finally what I've been looking for all these years! They're bright, they work, they're idiot proof to install. This is year two and they're still like new. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting solar lighting. Next I'm just hoping for something similar to illuminate my walkway ... hint hint.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

We have been illuminating the front of our house and highlighting a cherry tree in the mountains of Colorado for three years and counting. The bright light has been working perfectly through hail, intense mountain heat/sun, and freezing temperatures and is still performing like new. We have since purchsed three others that are performing just as wonderfully.

We have two other solar lights that we purchased at a local retailer that stopped working after less than six months. Don't waste your time & money on substandard solar lighting. These are a bit expensive - but they will outlast the cheaper ones by (i'll let you know).

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

We were hoping to illuminate a flagpole, but solar light apparently doesn't project well enough to spotlight from the ground to the flag. Since this was not described as one of the uses for the item, we took a chance and it didn't work out for us. It was a case of thinking that the more I spent meant that the light would be brighter!

The wire from the solar panel to the light can lose a solid connection both during and after installation. This requires periodic inspection, and adjustmentof the connection after installation. But for that issue the light works well.

Not ever having used any type of solar lighting before, I had high hopes based on the description. They do light well and are easy to install, but I suppose I wanted a more dramatic effect. I have one highlighting the mailbox and it works but really is not that visible until you are fairly close to the mailbox already.

Although the light is not as bright as I expected, it still lights the flag on my flagpole. Now the flag is legal if the Flag Police ever visit. The light was easy to assemble and install. Since it is solar and has no wires, it could be portable and used anywhere it is needed. All in all, I am satisfied with the product.

I have an American flag mounted off the south side of my porch railing, and of course a flag must be taken down every night, or illuminated. I bought one spotlight and set it up--it lights the flag well enough to clearly see the colors, and is still shining when I get up for work in the morning.

I bought the light to illuminate a flag at the top of a 20' pole. Not even close to being able to do the job from ground level so I had to rig an attachment 10' up the pole and have better (but not great) results. Also, 1 or 2 days without sun and whatever one is trying to illuminate is in the dark.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

We had tried several other solar lights to illuminate our home's address, without success. Our problem was that due to trees, sunlight was partially blocked. This light's solar panel has a 15' cord, so we were able to mount the panel in better sunlight, with great results.
The light itself is brighter than expected and we were able to successfully light our home's address.
We are very pleased with the results and feel this solar light's cost was worth it.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

Bought three of these, and a year later, only 2 are still working. Expected more for the price, but while these "feel" of high quality, they're still made in China and suffer from manufacturing defects in the QA process. Hence what you get may not be of the same quality as what someone else gets.

I'd buy more, but only if I knew the quality was going to be more consistent. As it is, I'm off of these for now.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

In my front yard, I've placed the light in a spot where the sun shines about half the day. Area of illumination which I need is about 4' x 6' and seems to do an adequate job. The back yard has more shade and thus the light does not stay bright for very long. Still, it is the best light I've been able to find as solar lighting goes. Tried an 8 led light which I purchased elsewhere, which dimmed in a matter of just a few hours. I sent it back.

This was to add an uplight to a row of trees alreadym lit with electricity. Would have had to replace the transformer to add more wattage to my system; this light fit the bill on that score. Also the focused spotlight works well on the 10-foot narrow holly. The area light I also added is better for the broad-branched crepe myrtle, also without electrical reach. Wish white light were available in a bit stronger wattage.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

I like to keep the American Flag shining 24/7. I wanted a light that would come on at dusk and turn off at dawn without the hassle of installation. I love the idea of solar power, but don't like the "glow in the dark" light that most offer. This light keeps Old Glory shining all night and even illuminates the old maple in the distance.

The only way I can think of to improve this product, would be to offer a choice in cord lengths.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

I've purchased a number of solar lights in the past, but this light is far and away the best. The light output is very bright. I bought one of these lights a few years ago, and it is still going strong, so I just bought another one to put on the other side of the garden.

I already have low-voltage electrical lighting on my lot, and had hoped that this light would fill in some spaces not covered by these lights. The solar light has a white color, however, while my low-voltage has a yellow color. They don't coordinate properly when they're next to each other. I placed the solar lights in a different area of the yard.

We bought this light to illuminate our flag. We have it on the medium setting, but it drains the battery so fast, that by 2-3 am, the flag is dark. We are really disappointed, because we wanted to use this instead of having to leave the garage lights on. It was expensive, but I had high hopes when I ordered it that it would do the job. A lesson learned.

My husband wanted a fairly bright solar powered light for Old glory so he would not need to take it down nightly. I purchased one to test it out...bought six more within a week! Absolutely the brightest solar light currently on the market. Had used low voltage lights previously for the front of our property, now use these solar lights exclusively. Will also use them for backyard, pool and floodlights around the house. I'm getting about 5 hours of direct sunlight on the panels daily and the lights stay on from dusk to dawn, currently about 10 hours per night. Very pleased with the quality as well...worth every penny!

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

Bought this to light a flag on a 20 ft. pole. does a VERY poor job or illuminating the flag. It seems bright up to about 5-6 feet but dies off tremendously after that. I wouldn't think this is worthy of lighting a flag unless you used at least 3 of them, which for the price I might as well run a line from the landscape lights and use a 50W bulb. Very disappointed.

This spot light is useful as a security light around my house. I mount the solar panels on my roof and place the lights under the roof eaves. I have light when we have a power outage. Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

The house numbers on my house are quite a distance from the porch light and are not visible at night. I looked at some solar lights from [@] and was advised that they do not put out much light (4 LEDS). This solar light has 16 LEDS and and produces plenty of light to illuminate my house numbers. I am thinking about buying 3 more to light up other portions of the front of my house. I mounted the light on a home-made stake using a 4 foot dowel 1 1/2 inch diameter. That works well.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

Our address is next to the front door and cannot be seen from the street. We added an address plaque next to the steps that go up to the front door. It was hard to see it at night, so we began to look at solar spotlights.

I read all the reviews for this (and MANY others as well). They are pretty accurate. For lighting up a small sign with bronze numbers placed about 5 feet away, it works very well. If we don't get much sun (rainy, cloudy), the light isn't awfully bright, but mostly we do and then it is quite bright. Must be those LEDs.

Now people can find our house even at night!

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

I use this product to illuminate our flag on the pole in our front yard. It barely does the job. If it were not for the fact that we live in a rural area where there is not a lot of other lights this product would be totally worthless. I have a two cell flashlight with a single LED and it will light up the flag from fifty YARDS away. With 16 LEDs I expected much better performance. I only kept it because at full dark it does light up the flag.

If the solar panel can't get enough hours of light its very bright illumination only lasts for 1.5-2 hours. After that it'll be as dim as many other solar lights.

Don't bother if you live in a lighted ar
By CorgiGuyVerified Reviewer from Rural Pittsburg County, Oklahoma on 11/4/2008
Cons:
Difficult to adjust beam, Difficult To Install, Low Wattage
Best Uses:
None
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

I found this product to be useful only if you live in a rural area without a lot of surrounding light sources. The teeth on the adjustable head are very course making it difficult to aim the light. If you are mounting this light on a wall, pole or the like, good luck. The base is only adjustable in one direction so you had better screw it down right the first time. Beyond about 15-20 feet this light is worthless.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

Purchased two units to illuminate large, metal, yard art. Initially I was hesitant about them being able to light up the yard items because I have numerous solar powered lighting throughout the landscape and none were suitable to "spotlight" these large art pieces until now. I couldn't be more pleased! They are extremely bright, unlike many others that light an area in a diffused pattern. There's also a generous amount of power cord between the solar panel and the lights - to easily position the panels in a sunny area. And the extended period of "on time" is great. They come on at dusk and are still burning intensely at sunrise. We had two days of rain and overcast and they still burned brightly throughout the evening. The only con I have is the stakes for the panels are plastic. I had to dig pilot holes to get them into the ground. If I hadn't they may have broken. Conversely, the lights themselves have metal stakes.

So far, we really like this solar spotlight which we are using to accent a large tree in our front yard.

Be careful where you aim this as it really is bright and might keep you up at night if it is aimed toward a bedroom window.

I would suggest/recommend that small diameter plastic tubing or flex hose be included with the product to protect the thin electrical cord that attaches the spotlight to the solar panel.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

I had hoped to use 2 of these lights to illuminate the pillars at the head of my driveway. The item description gave me hope. However, despite the 16 LED lights in each one, I found them to be no brighter than other solar lights found for much less at local home improvement stores. I did move the light and am using it as an uplight at the base of a small pear tree and this works wonderfully. The solar panel has a long cord so it can be hidden away from the light at the base of the tree. Given how I am using it now, not sure it is worth the price.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

What a difference these spotlights made with our landscaping. In fact because they are solar, I'm planning on using them this winter for Christmas. Actually, I'm planning on using them all year. That will certainly test the weather resistance in a Wisconsin winter climate. Also, after purchasing two lights I immediately ordered two more. I plan on ordering more as we continue our landscaping.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

I read a lot of bad reviews for cheaper products before getting this one. A lot of solar lights have the panel on top of the light, but this one doesn't--you can place the panel somewhere else if where the light is doesn't get enough sun (which is the case for me). It illuminates as well as you would expect a solar light to--it's a bit dim by morning, but that's ok. I think this one is better than cheaper models that tend to have really dim illumiation.

I would buy this prodict again.

better than I expected. Most solar lights only last for a month. This one has out lasted the others. I really like that the solar panel and fixture are separated by a 8 to 10 foot cord. I can place the fixture in the shade, while the panel is in the sun, out of the way.

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

Purchased product for safety and security to illuminate very dark front door of townhome and 15 steps to door. Lights were easy to put together and install. They do well on sunny days and shine brightly. They are not as aesthetically pleasing as I would wish. At the time I bought them, the solar FLOODlight was not available. It would have done a better job illuminating this area. Suggest you determine if your area needs flood or spot light and choose accordingly. The quality and functioning of these is excellent when there is adequate sun as to be expected.

Satisfactory product. Works well.
By BillVerified Purchaser from Boonville, Missouri on 7/9/2008
Pros:
Area Of Illumination, Has a good spot light, Weather Resistant
Best Uses:
Lighting a U S A flag
Describe Yourself:
Handyman
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

My research determined that this model was the most powerful, solar spot light on the market. I was using it to light up a U. S. A. flag, flown at night, in a cemetery. Granted, they are not as powerful as a 110V spotlight, but we had no access to electrical power. Two of the lights, together, do a satisfactory job.

Perfect for highlighting special trees and shrubs..Stays on ALL NIGHT, even in the winter months. Provides a bit of security lighting as well.

After supplied rechargeable bateries wear out(2 years) replace with 2000MAH or higher rather than the 1500MAH provided. If light gets dim after 1 and 1/2 year, replace with 2000-2400MAH Nickel metal hydride rather than ni-cads.

Bottom Line:

Comments about Superbright Solar Spotlight:

I have only had this item for a couple of weeks but it was easy to install and lights up my garden well enough. My sister said that if you change the battery out with a better one the light is stronger...haven't tried it yet but may look into doing that as the light isn't as bright as I expected. Overall though I am pleased with the product. Too early to determine how well it holds up
